My uninformed,  supremely confident hot take is, to one degree or another, Sark was sandbagging for the long haul

1! I remember somewhere or another Sark consulting with NFL coaches roster management over the extended course of an NFL season. He said he was going to play 100 players on defense at Ohio State. Did he? I DON'T KNOW but that doesn't matter and fuck Ewers.

2! There was some other place or podcast that said by the time the Cotton Bowl v OSU rolled around last year, Sark done run outta plays and everything was on tape. First and goal for a td but for other team lends a wallop to that.

3! Here's the Blow Tha Fuck Outta Yer Brains prediction for y'all demanding an OC.

Who would Sark bring in for an OC for an offense with a potentially impressive OL, big mobile qb whose forte' wasn't short timing routes but dropping deep dimes?

Tonight’s College Football Enquirer podcast raked Sark over the coals about his play calling from inside the 25 - dating back to his Atlanta OC days.  It’s who he is. It isn’t changing.

It’s a major problem that won’t be fixed

When politics tries to hold hands with sports, you can't just handwave it to another forum

Well I don’t watch his podcasts I think 9.95ers are fucking stupid. I do watch the national guys who are able to break shit down from time to time. Thankfully they don’t do gimmicky shit like pander to politicians for a buck they just talk X’s and O’s.

God fucking damnit, quit CRing up my fucking thread. It was stupid enough when it was me bitching about his program early on at here at Texas.

He’s an okay guy in real life but a bit sanctimonious for sure. He lectures folks on LinkedIn and it’s a bit much.  We got it dude, you made a lot of money chasing ambulances good for you.

The Manning who started and played most of the game is the only one I know how to judge. If he played great in the fourth quarter, obviously my condition would still apply: He wouldn't be playing badly, so there would be no need to bench him.

I'm surprised at the resistance to the notion that a QB who horribly misses easy passes should be replaced. That's my simple premise. Somehow that has been contorted into an advocacy that Manning should never play another down. I specify that if he continues to play as describe above, he should be benched as I think the guy under him can do better. Period.

Some moron took that to "I can't believe you're talking about benching after three bad quarters. Said moron doubles down. That suggests that the genius feels we should keep Manning on the field no matter what.

I'm done with this topic. It's amusing that the moron referred to my post as "this board." I rarely post here. I'm hardly typical of it.

I want to see Manning succeed and believe that he will. Any player who doesn't should yield to one who can. Not exactly revoluitonary.

while I understand the premise, I will use the same argument for Manning that I did for Ewers.  Sark sees practice and Manning is his best chance to win.

who is the guy under him that you think can do better?

you also are discounting that this could be a Sark QB development problem.

Hey guys didn’t know the turn this thread took but I just want to put out there I was really disappointed that W didn’t pardon Karla Faye Tucker or at least commute her death sentence to life imprisonment. She had a really rough life and used her time in prison to improve the lives of her fellow inmates.

Cr has nothing to do with football.  Stfu.  If anything, the currently leadership at Texas is responsible for Texas being back.  It's just our HC had a little issue with red zone.  Last 10 years has been utter dog shit.

Ryan Day did not plan for 8 months to have 200 yards of total offense and count on Texas bailing him out in the red zone in order to win a 14-7 game.

Let's be serious.

No coach gameplans for a specific number of yards. You are fixated on the ridiculous notion that Sark had the better gameplan because Texas had more total yards.

Defenses play bend but don't break all the time. That entails giving up lots of yards but relatively few points. And it was obvious that Ohio State was not interested in having Sayin aggressively challenge our secondary. He took a shot when he saw Tate had completely beaten Guilbeau. They took which was given, which wasn't much but was enough given other circumstances.

Someone post his numbers as OC in Atlanta vs shanahans.

36 ppg with the offense and schedule we have isn’t really that impressive especially considering the cupcakes we’ve played though sark does intentionally kill clock

I don’t think you can say with 100% certainty it won’t be fixed. The dude is clearly capable of change.

But it defiantly hasn’t been fixed yet, that’s for sure.
