What exactly is getting the job done? It’s like some of you just became fans 3 years ago. It’s pretty obnoxious to think we are at the point where it’s championship or bust in regards to our head coach, and the only reason some of you even have that take now is because Sark pulled us out of the dregs of college football. We just had back to back playoff appearances, once when it was only 4 teams. We had a high number of players go in the draft the last 2 years. A step back should have been expected, but yall let the 9.95ers gas y’all into believing this was a championship squad before yall saw them take a snap. Expectations should have been reset after the first game of the season. Win the next two games and I’ll be alright with this season.

with all due respect, that came straight from Steve Sarkisian's mouth. It wasn't just 9.95ers. I was one of the doubters, and got told to pound sand, and why didn't I believe......

Kirby like all other decent HC knows Sark will play his guys and call his plays regardless of his what his opponent’s defense is doing. All the DC’s knew it when he was at Washington. He goes Tin Cup mode trying to do the same thing over and over expecting that play or that player to make it happen.

Sark dialed up play after play that was wide open but his receivers coach has failed to teach them how to catch. Then when the game got close Kirby spanked Sark and let him know what real preparation to out coach the other guy looks like.

It's not championship or bust for me. It's not getting consistently blown off the field by better competition. The man simply cannot convert games like this. There is only one instance where he did and that might be more that Quinn Ewers had the game of his career in that one coupled with a strong performance by two of the best WRs we've had since the Roy Williams years. What is Sark's record now against top 10 opponents? The man is overmatched in almost every game he attempts.

Arch and Mosley are the only thing showing potential on offense right now. 5-7 next year would probably suck but if thats what the people want

Unfortunately true.  I've been on board with Sark, but I still remember 3 years ago when we blew a pair of 14-point leads and that team went 8-4 instead of 10-2.

Sark is aggressive going out to get the lead, then he coaches not to lose the lead.  Kirby Smart goes for the jugular, and that's why he's got the championships.

I hate to say it, but I'm feeling like the last two years were the ceiling with Sark.  This team is too undisciplined, too passive in the play calling, and somehow this offensive guru forgot to get an offensive line, which is unforgivable in this portal era.

I don't necessarily think we should fire Sark.  But if the NFL is interested, I think CDC should write him one hell of a recommendation letter.  Feels like Sark and UT have done as much for each other as they could.

Receivers and rbs have taken a step back as well. Love wisner, but he needs help.  At first, it really seemed like sark was detail oriented. But players just seem like deer in the headlights at the beginning of every game and the team as a unit just starts digging a hole. Against the bad teams, they were able to somehow escape but against the good teams, they’re too entrenched. And this is how they’ve been mostly beginning games.

This late in the season and the team is still without an offensive identity. If you’re a wr and you’re dropping passes, you better be an extraordinary blocker. But this team plays dumb, and if they lost key players to the NFL, then they can’t afford to play stupid on top of everything.

Sark got out coached today. Kirby was dared to do the unthinkable and flat out kicked Sark’s ass. And I think if the teams were reversed, it would play out the same, because Kirby is just a better coach.

well, people shouldn't be gaslit for having expectations when they are driven by the coach. what are we talking about here. you can find easy examples of coaches preaching caution in the preseason and muting expectations, but Sark specifically went the other way, in response to questions about the roster.

this is him at SEC Media Days

"“I think this is a championship roster. Now we’ve got to play like a championship team, but I do think it’s a championship roster,” Sarkisian said."

I love it when I'm told by someone on the internet how and why I came to my position.

You know shit about fuck as to why I think the way I do.

Here's a way I've explained it. College football has changed dramatically. Now its more of a venture capital experience. Texas Athletics is the corporation, the NIL big money guys are the investment managers, the fans are the fund investors.

There are zero points for participation ribbons, just ask Franklin. The results you brought in last year are the past, and they aren't this year which all that matters. Want evidence? How many coaches got fired this year before the season even ended. It's absolutely unprecedented because the math has changed. This is a billion dollar investment fund business and the fund managers care about result, this year.

Please explain how you can possibly defend the garbage play calling, like QB sneak against ohio state or designed QB run against GA? Apparently you are happy with 8-4 or 9-3. If Sark stays this is exactly what we will get, he cannot beat Georgia. His game time play calling is horrible, he dropped the ball on OL this season.

We are about to be sitting on our couches come December watching five other SEC teams (including A&M and Oklahoma) in the CFP. And the tired old refrains of "but we made the CFP the previous two seasons!!!!" and "we lost everyone to the draft!!1!" are the best y'all can come up with? Find some new material.

So it will be a shitshow if we don’t give him one more year hoping next year won’t be a shitshow? But it won’t be an even bigger shitshow if we keep him and next year is the same or worse and we lose dudes to teams with HCs that will develop them? So we can get beat by OSU again to start the year and lose to Ole Miss at home? And go to tie breakers with Arky?

But maybe next year we can get another participation ribbon!!!!

Or, the incoming recruits could get agents and opposing coaches in their ear and this could continue to circle further down the drain.

But he said being OC is his super power and never giving it up AND it’s what he was hired for. That and developing QBs. So if he ain’t doing either of those how will he be a good HC? Like we can find a dude that is good at situational shit to stand on the field better than sark. At that stuff. We can find a cignetti type drill Sgt coach and hire an OC. Why have sark as HC then if he ain’t gonna do the playcalling and QB development and disappear for a month in the offseason.

It’s obvious Sark’s not the guy, but he’s not going anywhere this year. Only question is whether he tries (or is forced to try ) the old staff reboot Hail Mary bullshit. We’ve seen that movie before.

Why would the NFL look at a coach with all the monetary resources, team brand recognition with fertile recruiting grounds, without asking why did he have difficulty contending annually with that much talent?  What can Sark do for me that he couldn’t manage against most of college football that was without those advantages? Sark has to show more to get that next level deal I would think.

Tech just started to flex their money. They are new to this. See this season’s results thus far. Aggie is fool but they ain’t afraid to flex. Their money. To get to someone who can win. We laugh bc they fail but they flex. Venables just saved his ass with bookend wins v Bama. It still means something to beat Bama and JawJa and Ohio State. We are getting left behind bc like all his previous stops his floor is rising to meet his ceiling. Imagine what Leach could do with Sark money and recruits, damn, I miss Leach,

I agree. He isn’t going anywhere. Sink or swim next year and then full rebuild if he doesn’t get it done. 2028 the sleeping giant awakens.

Has anyone pointed out that this fucking dipshit called 40 pass plays to 10 RB runs after he publicly bitched about not getting enough from the ground game (“If we could get 125…”)?

Even before the fourth, with the game close, it was a 3:1 pass:run clip.

I think my favorite “Sark is a dumbass” moment tonight though came when we went empty (ie no run threat) and STILL kept 2 TEs in the game.

You're applying sound logic to NFL owners. Are you at all familiar with these people?

Did you know Shedeur Sanders got drafted last year and Jerry Jones still owns the Cowboys?
