43 minutes ago43 min I don’t recall when I first saw a color tv, but it might have been in the late 1960s at my parent’s house.I do remember seeing the first b&w tv at the bar in the Fort Leavenworth Officer’s Club about 1949 or ‘50. It was a round tube screen about 12” diameter. It picked up a station in Kansas City.Then we were stationed in Puerto Rico 1950-54 (no tv stations there), followed by a stint in St. Louis 1954-57 (1 b&w tvchannel). After that off to Taiwan until 1959 with no tv there either.Finally back to Austin with its one b&w channel owned by the LBJ family.
