It’s been announced that tomorrow’s match in St Louis is sold out.  Guatemala have big following, will be interesting to see how the 23k seats breakdown

Calling my shot. We come out and dominate this one 3-0. Guatemala is a great story, I've been there myself and have a soft spot for the country, but they're not going to play against 10 men like they did vs Canada. Would love to see Tillman not have to go the full 90 in this one, if possible.

Could Luna's "hamster mode" be the key to unlocking the bunker defense? Much like a hockey power play facing a diamond or a college basketball team playing a 2-3 sagging zone, the temptation is to get stagnant and just pass the ball around the perimeter until someone throws one up out of sheer boredom. You break these defenses with creative movement, winning an individual battle, and capitalizing when the defense reacts in a panic to the havoc.

Against Saudi Arabia, the US backs were turning and passing backwards before they even fully collected the entry. It's a "safe" defeat because you retain possession, but you let your less talented opponent conserve energy and dictate pace. Diego Luna seems like he's eager to cause disruption.

Love the energy Luna brings to the table. Breath of fresh air watching him play for us. Have to find a place for him in the starting XI when we are at full strength. He is a factor in every game.

I love Luna but he is still limited and I don't think he's a starter come '26.

I do think he will be one of the first off the bench and can contribute - but I haven't seen enough where I think he should be above McKennie who is who he would be competing with.

Luna again!!!!! @ztejas I’d rather have Luna over McKennie any day. He is fucking clutch.

We'll see. Depth isn't bad. I just worry about Luna against more physical D and as a defender himself. Guatemala is a favorable matchup for him b/c of their lack of size.

McKennie has a fuckton more experience against elite players.

My thoughts as well.  I can't imagine he'd be that effective against, say, Germany or France.  Still love the guy.  Some of his US teammates could learn a thing or two about desire.

Our fullbacks are still fucking ass, btw.

Guat has had a few pretty good looks.

Yeah.  Arfsten just stood and watched while his mark had a free header.

Also I get that Luna is on the wing tonight but if we started him with the first XI it would have to be at a midfield spot. Either taking the 10 from Tillman or taking McKennie's CM spot.

Ain't no fucking way he plays over CP or Weah.
