Was Maeve suggesting that she and Eddie should be a couple?  The "But your my Nan!" or whatever was weird.  How much I ultimately liked this episode has everything to do with how next season picks up.  Because I am not so sure right now.

Seems like Philomena is taking the call Harry won't with Kat, so I imagine that will be a huge source of friction next season.

Yes and remember in the previous episode she grabbed his crotch underneath the table. Whether she's serious or just playing him I have no idea because she is all over the damn place.

Maeve is not blood related to Eddie.  Where the fuck is he?  He was not with the women who left. Did he runoft or get blowed up?  Seems the news that Conrad was his father with Bella, Maeve’s weirdass proposal, his relationship with Kevin might send him to ground for a bit.

Bella didn’t tell Kevin that Eddie tried to kill her.  Is she protecting her son over husband?  Has Conrad continued to bang Bella thru the years?  She opened up about her father raping her as a child, but not about her son nearly killing her.

seraphina is moving while Harry is hanging tight with Kevin.  Does he know Maeve is hammering the Harry is the mole story?

Some thoughts on this.

First I disagree on Eddie stepping back, if that's what you meant. He's emboldened now. He thinks this empire is his.

On Bella, good question, I found it interesting that she and Kevin finally had kind of a breakthrough and she seemed to genuinely tell him she has his back against Conrad when he gets out of the clink... But what about Eddie? Does she have his back if it's Kevin vs Eddie? When Kiko walks in on him choking her and Zosia gives him a gut punch, Bella says something like leave my boy alone to them.

Also it's not going to matter if Bella tells Kevin because Zosia is going to tell Harry and by proxy Harry is likely to tell Kevin.

Harry definitely knows Maeve is trying to set him up at this point, but he seems to always be two steps ahead. She seems desperate and acting like a fucking lunatic. Telling Eddie to kill Harry? Even Eddie knows that's too ambitious and that she's losing it. I think this is part of the reason he is feeling emboldened. Basically they are both planning and plotting to use one another to be at the head of the table at this point. Just my two cents.

Obviously, Harry doesn't seem to be at all.

Poor Kiko, let his guard down for a split second

You always use security rounds after grenades. Everybody knows that, right?

Screen writers should have provided at least some back story.

Yeah, she needs to show us she'll shoot her own kids.

or assassinate her own crew...after limping through an interrogation.

No I simply dont know where he is? I don’t recall seeing him after he was hammered by Kiko or Zosia.  Soon after, it showed the women outside the house just as it blowed up.  So my question was: was Eddie blowed up or did he escape another way.

now that we know he’s back for S2, it looks like it will be an internal war between Conrad/Maeve/Eddie vs Kevin/Harry with Seraphina/Kat lining up outside of them.

Eddie starts banging Kat and Mave helps Kevin revisit his childhood, NowThis style.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least with these writers.

Roger that. Yeah it was odd. That interview with Anson Boon kind of alludes to him running off after getting humbled by Kiko and Zosia. We shall see.

He’s gone to ground likely because he thinks zosia , if not Bella, will tell Kevin and Harry that he tried to murder Bella, and his goose is cooked.  Bella protected her son even though she swore her allegiance to Kevin.  At the time she had zero choice as Maeve and Conrad were still locked up.  I believe Bella has likely continued some relationship with Conrad and she’ll be very fluid which way she goes.

Think Helen Mirren is completely miscast for the role.  She’s was fine for her role in 1923 but not MobLand.

Yep. I’ll say it again, this is beneath Brosnan and Mirren. It’s certainly beneath an actor of Hardy’s talent. This show is a joke.

I wouldn't go that far, but the final scene with Conrad doing the impromptu song and dance/Notre Dame mascot impersonation was very difficult to take seriously. Reminded me of some shit from an early '00s musical like Rent or Stomp or some other unbearable bullshit.

Don’t know if beneath them but an example of Mirren’s miscast was the scene between her and Eddie where there should have been sexual tension component and there was zero.  It was more ick than anything.  Someone cast like Jane Seymour would have been much more believable about being able to manipulate people to do her will including Conrad.  Suspect Brosnan is just thankful to get any role at this point in his career.
