People have been chasing that idea for decades as even they acknowledge on their website. I know nothing about the company and they may be the best out there, but if i was gonna be selling these things I would spend some time really trying to understand what differentiates their approach. There are many companies pitching the same value prop, it comes down to why this company versus the others. I looked into the industry briefly when I was trying to evaluate an investment, and I was surprised how many companies were out there making these things. dozens of em. Someone has to have the best out there, so maybe there is money to be made.

That is a funny coincidence.   I think this product is a thing.   Reminds me of solar in 2000.

I interviewed with the founders, super sharp and dedicated.    They have raised enough money to grow for a couple years.   They are laser focused on central texas.

I was only half kidding with my comment earlier. 

These look interesting, but I wonder about the cost economics. 

30k for 250 gallons a day and let's call it 1KWh per gallon in electricity to produce (per tech spec sheet @ 240Wh/liter) avg electric cost in Texas is $.15 per KWh that's $37.50 a day in electricity for 250 gallons of water. 

So if you had a family of 4 and used 3,000 gallons of water a month it would cost nearly $450/mo in electricity plus the amortized cost of the unit, let's say they gave you a 12% loan for 15 years (co term with warranty period) that's $360/mo

So for $900/mo you could have less water than a normal family of 4 is budgeted to use daily. 

I must be missing something, because 1k/mo buys a fuckton of water from a truck + a tank to put it in.

Moisture farming has never been big bucks, plus your farmhands keep bucking to leave for the Imperial Academy or go muck around in Anchorhead

Of equal concern, if you live in the same metropolitan area and predominantly downwind of @Brisketexan, will your water taste like the spent grease from an allsup's deep-fryer?

Yep.  I remember some guy who might as well have been the monorail dude from the Simpson's pitching to me how they have "SOLVED EVERYONE'S WATER ISSUES!"....20 years ago.  I recall the conversation.  And my pushback to him then was exactly the same as Immamac's -- cool....seems like it needs a lot of power, how are you accounting for that?  And he tapdanced around the economics, like pretty much every one of these deals I've seen or heard about since then.

If you can get to a point where solar panels/generation are hyper efficient and hyper cheap, then it might start to make sense.   If you're way off-grid, and use solar panels, it might start to make sense.  Otherwise, the ROI just isn't there.

I fart into the air, not into the water supply.....'cept when I'm swimming in Lake Travis.

When I read about desalination and how it is considered cost-prohibitive in some circles I recall wondering why we don't harvest humidity from the air on a large scale. Never followed up to figure that out but the fact that it hasn't happened tells me there's a downside. Doing it on a house by house basis seems impractical. Why not harvest and store large amounts of rain water in tanks on individual properties? Seems cheaper and more efficient than sucking it out of the air. Full disclosure I know zero about the science in all of this just thoughts on the overall topic from the top of my head.
