I saw the Lakers added Augustas Marciulionis to the summer league team. I am guessing he makes the Lakers opening night roster. Randy Bennett said he’s the best point guard they have ever had at Saint Mary’s and his father Sarunas happened to be okay at basketball. Anyone else here remember his dad on the 1992 team from Lithuania that wore the-dye shirts and got the bronze medal? Sarunas was a baller.

I saw Marciulionis play a few times at SMC and he’s an NBA guard. He’ll show that this summer I believe.

That's pretty surprising.  Guess he should have taken the Knicks job a few yrs ago as was rumored.   I suspect he wont be out of work for long.

i was expecting somewhere around 20-25. didnt think hed get to 30M/yr.

now figure out what to do with Julius

New Orleans has proved to be morons, maybe trade Randle for Murray?  Salaries are pretty close, you might be able to swap them for a couple of 2nds. Murray could be a good backcourt pairing with Ant, as he can share the ball, is a good defender and can run the offense for the 12 minutes when Ant's on the bench. I think if Murray gets out of NOLA, he will have a good bounce-back year.

You and MNLonghornFUKM explain Naz Reid to me. What is the value he brings outside of shooting flat-footed threes like a really tall 60 year old?

I think he has a unique skill set. If 3 balls dropping he’s insanely good.
He’s big enough and fast enough to either back down smaller defenders or drive past slower ones.

When he has a bad game it’s pretty ugly. Maybe the pressure of a contract is off of him and he can just slow the game down next year

Looking at others in the league making 25M, he’s probably top 5 in players making that kind of money.

A lot of bad contracts out there if you look at the list of annual salaries

Welp, I would have 100% guessed wrong had you asked me an hour ago if Lonzo Ball is still in the league.

Lonzo would help the Cavs more in those 8 games than Okoro would in his usual 65-70.

He was playing every game for a few months. Then they shut him down at start of March.

He is going to the Ty Jerome minutes. It's probably a net upgrade.
