Can somebody tell me the logical unemotional reason to continue playing tough OOC games?

To improve SOS.  To give fans another good game during the season.

Honestly, if you think you are more likely to lose them than win them, you shouldn't be scheduling them.

Lets talk about our really fucking good loss then since you only talk about the "bad loss." We lost by one score on the road and went toe to toe with the consensus #1 team in the country and BIG champion. Then let's talk about the fact we beat OU on a neutral field, beat the fighting Pavias/refs, and will soon hand the #3 team their only loss of the season. Let's also talk about how it's highly likely that two of our losses are going to come to the #1 and #2 teams in the country on the road. Both games were 1 score games in the 4th quarter.

We's the best 3-loss team in the country!

But it's the bad loss that matters. Because it was really, really, really bad.

You can laugh all you want but, one, yes we are. And two, our three losses against our body of work and schedule are better than 2 losses from BYU. So fuck off with your dismissive bullshit.

So you think 2 loss BYU should go into the CFP over Texas. When... checks notes... they played Portland St, Stanford, and ECU and have 0 wins over a CFP team and 2 losses?

Meanwhile 3 loss Texas will have 3 wins over top 15 teams and 2 in the field and 2 of our losses will be road games to the #1 and #2 overall seeds. Just want to get you on the record for when this situation occurs.

Fine with me. Beat Florida.

You are gonna be on an island with that take after Saturday. But youre a dumbass, so it's par for the course for you.

I doubt it. Most people here know it's our fault we're in this position.

I really just don't think so. I think there's a sense of forgiveness that comes with wtf losses like Florida when a team rights the ship and starts looking way different. Texas has looked the same. They've looked inconsistent as shit. They beat Kentucky and ole miss playing just like they did at Florida with some miracle hero ball in a small portion of the game.

Georgia and Florida games looked pretty fucking similar too, until the end where Texas completely folded like a cheap lawn chair.

The issue isn't who they've lost to. It's how they lost and how they've looked in said losses and the wins.

Or we could have lost to Minnesota, which is entirely plausible given that we lost to 3-8 Florida and were playing horrible football to start the season.

Harsh.  We easily might have beat them in OT.  Or got out to a big lead and held on for a 3 pt win in regulation after a 4Q collapse.

Give tOSU and UGA a ton of credit for beating a great Texas team at home.  Give mediocre Texas no credit for losing to tOSU and UGA on the road.

Makes sense.

They're getting credit for beating Texas when they have one loss between them?

Tech is swimming in money and will have  basically a cakewalk to the CFP every year, while we have to be Georgia’s gimp in the SEC. The move was pretty clearly very short-sighted.

Tech will find a way to fuck it up….  Just watch.

Michigan has ZERO wins over a ranked team this year. Texas has 2.

Michigan was handled easily by OU, whom we beat.

Michigan lost to OU and was blown out by USC. Texas has lost @OSU, @GA and @UF.

Don’t give me the close games argument. Michigan survived by 3 points again Nebraska, 5 points against Purdue, and 2 points against Northwestern.

Why again should Michigan be ranked ahead of Texas? There is ZERO rational justification for doing so.

Next to Norte Dame and USC, they are the sports media darlings.

You're so easy to draw offsides it's almost embarrassing. Wait, no, it is.

Also, I'd say the same for Arch but....you know...we've already seen it...

Go jerk each other off in the CR. Can’t wait to watch Tech embarrass themselves *yet again* on a national stage.

The CFP will be 16 teams soon and will probably end up going to 24 because money.

We'll be fine.

Texas is OSU's best win, and it's really not close.

That’s crazy….just crazy….and Ohio State has been #1 all year….and it could be some time before they have to face a better team than us…and, they only won by 7 at their house when Arch was getting his first away start….
