Run game improved a lot from last week. Where the fuck was this O line against Florida?! Has Flood been holding back on us?!

We stopped playing the turnstile.

who played LG?  I had to miss the game due to unforeseen circumstances.

Brooks

Flood needs a stronger relationship with APD. Don't want to hear about any more legal troubles. Cover that shit up so these guys don't miss time.

don't fire him - just give him a job he can do like cleaning a bathroom or something.

Brooks

This. I haven't seen the whole play back yet but if Brooks didn't do his stupid shit before he should have been playing. He stoned multiple OU players and seemed to pass them off fairly well. He looked very good in multiple plays in the second half. I'm still in the fire flood camp for negligence for stroh ever having to play. But, if Brooks hadn't been in timeout due to his own idiocy we might be looking at a different record. Again, I know fuck all.

The other guy who did stupid shit was playing before Brooks was. We had 2 games he could have played and a whole bye week he SHOULD have been inserted at guard before the Florida game.

Still employed? Well fuck... He can take Chris Jackson with him when he goes, IMO. Other than Worthy, who was likely to be good regardless where he went, who has Jackson put in the league? Mitchell, Golden, Bond were all transfers. Whittington, maybe? But, that dude is a dog and a half. I'm surprised the big donors haven't mutinied on some of these coaches.

I'm not really in favor of mid-season fires, but I wouldn't object to an assistant coach being canned midseason.  Especially if that coach is Kyle Flood.

Hasn't the primary justifiction for employing Kyle Flood always been that he's the guy in charge of recruiting?  I wonder how necessary that position is in the NIL/Portal era.

I think you have to fire him midseason for three reasons- one just on the remote chance there is some grad assistant on staff who can teach our line better and try to fix this this cluster fuck midseason. Two to send a signal to our team that this is unacceptable and coaches and players will he held accountable. But mainly to clear the deck and send a signal to the market that Texas is hiring a new offensive line and coordinator.

This would be a path to go in most organizations where corrections are needed.

I’m not sure Sark recognizes this applies to a football team.

Publicly the spin is “nothing to see here.”   We better hope in private, especially in CDC’s office it is the exact opposite.   I’ll give CDC credit because he’s been pretty responsive with not letting things go down the tubes too far before he pulls the plug in our other sports programs.     He didn’t let Terry have another season nor did he keep Pierce around at the Disch either.

DJ Campbell still routinely gets completely perpindicular to the LOS when helping the man next to him in pass pro, which is a cardinal sin. At least once he allowed a blitzing LB a completely free rush by doing so. I'd have to rewatch and I'm not going to do that but unless he was damn near perfect otherwise this is some bullshit.

He’s basically trying to play 3 positions

Uh, even if that's the case, that's complete abdication of his own assignment. Sit this one out.

I need to rewatch but am I mistaken in thinking that even Goosby and Baker were getting put on skates regularly yesterday? Seemed like the pocket was collapsing very quickly.

Kentucky and Florida both just looked so much more physical than us. It’s like there’s an S&C failure happening, too.

Equal parts hilarious and maddening that Flood and Sark sat together in their fart huffing chamber last offseason and decided they needed no to minimal portal help. Their own genius scheme and development was enough.

NFL style practices all offseason are the real “S&C” issue
