Русский корабль - иди нахуй

No way the T/O is 3,500, and honestly would be surprised if it’s half that.  And no way only 1%/35 were killed - there’s videos showing dozens being killed because they are recently mobilized Russians with no training.  That artillery strike several posts up probably had one-two dozen killed alone.

Why are the Allies dithering on providing drone and missile defense?

Because domestic agitators in the allied nations are criticizing the volume of aid being sent to Ukraine, given the economic pains inflicted by putin's efforts. "Why should we send billions in aid to Ukraine when we can't keep the heat on?" you know, the sort of stuff that humbleGRUvibes posts.

Russia has been openly stating their efforts to interfere in election processes to have more friendly forces in office. The dithering is an outcome from useful idiots receptiveness russian efforts.

Maybe this too. But the reality is that NATO armies don't prioritize surface air defense assets. We just don't have a lot of extras like the Russians do. Our air defense is mainly expected to come from our air dominance, not SAM systems. The systems we are providing like NASAMs are literally being sent to Ukraine as they come off the production line. And something like Patriot would be a really poor match for what Ukraine has needed (i.e., not a million dollar a shot missile system), although that may change once Iranian ballistic missiles enter the battlefield. But even then, we don't have a ton of extras laying around and I doubt we'd be willing to risk Patriot units being captured by Russia.

Well that sucks.  Seems our strategy had a weakness.

On the contrary - we would have been striking into Russia at their missile stockpiles and would have been taking out their bombers in the air.  And we’d be sinking ships or shooting down aircraft running supplies from other countries.   We would have had air superiority over not only Ukraine, but a hefty distance into Russia proper by the middle of March.

Outside of missiles. Saddam/Iraq in 1990 was a far more powerful force than what the Ukrainians were facing back in February.  And Saddam had tens of thousands of actual battle-tested soldiers thanks to Iran, unlike Russia, who hadn’t faced such serious combat since the 1990s (and even that was against a lot of civilians in Chechnya).

The Ukrainians have to plan everything very carefully.

Fucking tactics, to catch up with hundreds of chmobiks in landing, instead of technology (vehicles), go forward in a crowd to the ZSU positions)) dlb, stupidly stuffing, east.

As a result, they tried to hide in other parts of the landing, and there they were finished off.

I have seen very little evidence that they plan anything past three days.

Makes me wish Tom Clancy was around, would be interesting to hear his take on Russia being so shitty.

Not specifically about the Russians, but a good speech nonetheless. Sometimes you don't know what you had, till it's gone.

Damn, not even three minutes in and there in 1986 he calls out that they don’t have careers/professional enlisted (NCOs) And that it’s a bigger disadvantage than their “inferior hardware”.
