  1. Past hour
  2. The last place team in my fantasy league will be renamed Dude Wipes.
  3. I agree. Everyone still says the occasional one liners on the golf course from the original. But there won’t be any from 2
  4. They need to look at who if hot now, not over the past two years. He is playing the best this month, better than anyone not an automatic bid
  5. Probably true but that is an allegation from the lawsuit against her.

    Vinyl

My vinyls collecting might have jumped the shark. I haven't listened to Load since its release day in 1996. It didn't click with me. But I have all the other Metallica super deluxes so this seemed like a good time to give it another shot. Honestly, it's not as impressive technically as real Metallica, but it's also more musical. James's lyric writing is more in the Of Wolf and Man vein, but it's just lyrics and who gives a shit about lyrics if the music is good, and the songs here take a lot of chances and might even stick the landing on several of them. Don't really care, though, since I was more into the retrospective book with letters from all the major players, including Jason. The music here never raises my pulse, even if I did enjoy the listen more than I thought I would, but hearing stories of the making of the album I found very interesting.
  7. I guess one of the things you should consider is how long you will be holding the Roth until you retire. It’s great that after five year you can withdraw money tax free - but your conversion from your IRA or 401(k) will be taxed as your present income tax rate, no ? If you let it sit in your standard IRA when you pull it out, you’ll be taxed on your then current income, whatever the hell that is. For a lot of people, they will be in a much lower tax rate after they retire than the tax rate when they converted to the Roth. if you are a savvy, successful investor, it seems that the money growing tax-free in your Roth could offset that tax rate differential if you do great in your Roth and then eventually take the whole thing out tax-free. And then there is that thing where you have to figure out how much of the assets converted from your old IRA was original funds put in the IRA versus the profits and interest you earned in that IRA overtime. I think it’s best to convert your IRA to a Roth as soon as you put it in your IRA so that becomes an easy taxable calculation. Which is all to say I know enough about it to know that I don’t know anything about it. I’m currently putting 8000 in an IRA and immediately converting it to my Roth for the easy math. Also, because at my income level, I’m not allowed to contribute to a Roth, absent the conversion. I believe each conversion you have to wait five years to pull it out tax-free. As an older cancer survivor I’m putting money in my Roth because I’m optimistic that I will be taking it out 5 to 10 years from now. Financial glass half full so to speak. Now that we are in the age of AI and AI software, it seems possible that you can get a hell of a lot of fantastic advice (that you need to check, to be sure) without paying some schmo to tell you some basic facts that you can figure out on your own. My very best advice on financial matters is not to listen to me because I’m an idiot who knows nothing.

  11. Every team has rough patches. Even teams leading their division. It’s never fun to lose, but y’all need a bit of perspective.
  12. Tell me more about your wife
  13. I hope it's at least a little wet. Looks like Aston is banking on rain & gambled with a wet setup for Qualifying.
  14. First place was fun and all but this team makes being a front runner extremely uncomfortable
  15. Was going to post this, a week late. This is a top 10 live song imo. Just a banger. Great lyrics. Politicians hide themselves away, they only started the war.
  16. Oh, she always does that.
  17. You are not going to enjoy NCAA Swimming '26, then.

  20. I’m a 52-year-old guy from the border and I thave no idea how the hand I was dealt could work out like this. Not sure why I am posting this other than to say I’m the luckiest sumbitch. Just hugged my wife and told her the same as best I could. Had a great dinner grilled over charcoal while floating in my pool and drinking beer and margaritas with a hot wife and texting my kids who are all doing great all over the US. No one’s sick: no one’s too stressed. Everyone can’t want to get together next time at a football game. Chicken was good tonight. Beans were perfect. Beer was cold. Wife squeezed my junk when we hugged and I told her that I loved her. Charlie Robison is playing on the JBL speaker. How did I get here? How do I stay here?
  21. You people are hilarious. You want a first place team to be sellers at the deadline. Good stuff.
