  1. Past hour
  2. This is 1000% NOT a guilty pleasure, but since @Derka posted Ivan is being promoted to Reno, I'm posting it here.
  3. You could blur out the hand and I’d still know you were lily white by the countertops.
  4. Bout fucking time. Guess we’ll see if it lasts.
  5. Don’t go to court against a guy named Kevin?
  6. vy / colt were the ut golden years in my lifetime (honorable mention to soul brother #1, james brown). so they've had a looooooot qb misses
  7. They also forgot how fucking awful we have been in the QB position throughout the past 10+ years. The only school fucking up the QB spot worse than us was aggy, because they had talented guys and couldn't keep them.
  8. Interest in Elite Ruling Class Pedo Ring taking a weird nose dive.
  9. Here's your steel-cut oatmeal, asshole.

  11. Yeah, Nashville has a similar mix of tourist, aspiring influencers, tech bros/hoes and mixed state transplants. It's not Austin or god forbid Orlando but one managed to clip me for my first accident in 3 decades. Of course, his insurance was fake.
  12. And yeah the 2-1 score line held. Vermont Green FC are the USL2 champions.
  13. would you fucking stop it?
  14. If this should actually linger as a problem as we close in on the midterms, panic will set in and then the dismantling of our electoral process kicks into high gear. Federal takeover of urban elections offices, deployment of ICE agents to polling places, martial law, suspending the constitution, whatever it takes. It’s been noted many times already, but I’ll say it again: the GQP is governing like they know they don’t need to face the voters in a general election.
  15. people acting like UT football just stacks championships. one title in my lifetime, thank you VY and Coach Mack, and one hell of team / coaching staff going to back to back semis in the playoff era is pretty damn impressive for UT football. Hopefully they take it further this season
  16. Would you call the new TV deal and the increased attendance numbers “producing it first” or not? That’s without getting into the valuation increases and the expansion fees. Someone paid the bills for every league for a long time. Look into the NBA numbers for the first half of its existence.

  18. My parents give a lot of money to the arts in Santa Fe and so do their friends. But I’m not sure that same charity exists in younger generations. I’m not sure what the shift has been whether it is lack of interest in the arts due to social media and video games, lack of disposable income, expectations of government, or a host of other things. I went to Novosibirsk Russia in January one year and went to the ballet. It was a huge theater and it was an entire family event. Of course, the families probably had little else to do so obviously that plays a role. But I have a feeling that if you grow up with the arts and seeing ballets, orchestra’s and plays, you are probably more likely to value those things when you get older. Few kids in the US grew up on the arts. It is a “rich persons thing”.
  19. Driving in Houston recently has put the suck of Austin drivers into perspective. 85 in the slow lane is the norm there.
