  1. Past hour
  2. They have a secret menu, so you may still be able to order it.
  3. Like when we used to get officials from college station and west Texas, back in the Big 12 days
  4. I don't know how many years it's been, but we've been on these Texas boards together forever. Feels like you were practically in HS when we first interacted. Hearing that you're married and a dad makes me happy, man. Congrats and 🤘.
  5. SEC ump committee: So, who we got for home plate in Fayettenam for Texas? Oh, the guy that grew up in Bentonville? Sounds good.
  6. Excuse you, sir? If a thoughtful pair of parents want to name their son after a legend with a career OPS of .828 and a leader of the breakers of Babe Ruth’s curse, who are we to question that?
  7. Probably short, and now bouncing backwards.
  8. You know what we need? An athletic big. Maybe two. Question is if you move someone like Reeves for the above, could Dalton Knecht be 70% as good as Reaves
  9. Every coach has different criteria and the details are kept secret. But big plays are always a part of it. I’m sure every TD gets a leaf. Every forced fumble or interception, every sack, every long run or completed pass (maybe 15 or 20 yds or more? I don’t know). They grade each player’s performance after each game so they’re probably also tied to their grade. I know Tressel gave out leaves to the whole team for some things. Everyone probably got one for every win including scout team players. I think I recall hearing about nobody getting a leaf after some particularly bad loss. Can’t recall when that was. (Maybe under Meyer?) I heard Buckeye fans commenting that helmets at the start of the postseason weren’t as full of stickers as usual and there was speculation that they were being awarded more sparingly to allow for a longer slate of games but that seems kind of fanciful. I didn’t pay that much attention to it.
  10. Agree. Singletary is good but she wasn't putting up All-American numbers. Mari can hammer the ball when she has an open net, but she really didn't have much shot selection variation as a middle hitter. And I always thought she hit the slide attack on the way down from her approach, instead of hitting it at the apex. She never hit over the block with the slide attack like McCage, Chiaka, or Asjia. Her blocking was good when the other team was out-of-system, but she was so slow to read the opposing setter in in-system plays. Ames looked much improved in her footwork in closing the blocks this spring. Bunton was probably the quickest out of all them moving laterally, but her offense is still a work in progress. But it may not matter that much as I think the pins will carry the team offensively next season. We just need the MBs to block well.
  11. Very similar to “political talking points” rehashed on multiple channels within 48 hours. The only difference is the cadence of the talker/speaker. Hook’em!!!
  12. He was genuinely a nice guy, so it was hard to just overtly stick a knife into his guts and twist. But man it’s tempting.
  13. The amount of people that get killed or seriously injured falling out of golf carts is surprising to me.
  14. I am getting really sick of losing to pigs.
  15. Pretty harsh on Cowboy Troy, but true. Rookie year was similar to Carr with the Texans. Both rookie years spent more time looking at the sky from the ground than on their feet. Hook’em!!!
  16. Agreed. This is an ongoing tragedy...
  17. What I proposed could work, this could never work. When we push more responsibility on people they fail. The human brain wants shortcuts and takes them. Despite what people otherwise profess.
  18. This dude went so crazy after 9/11 that he let poisonous snakes bite him over and over and now his blood may create a universal anti-venom. Just completely locked in and hardcore. I cannot believe this man has a wife. “No college can teach this.” Completely unhinged remark about letting snakes bite you. This is an American hero that matches our current vibes.
  19. Everything is priced in. “Everything” includes rational behavior, irrational behavior, understanding, misunderstanding, speculation, cognitive biases, information assymetries, etc.
  20. So how much ag shit was Old Army sporting? I'm gonna guess aTm hat, 12th man golf towel, and Reveille driver head cover at a minimum. Tell me that you or @SydneyCarton at least once got in an "ooh, that looked like 4th and 1 last November" when the dude left a putt short.
