  1. Past hour
  2. Pulled in our best class ever yesterday. Not bad for a program that was an early adopter of the transfer portal and took quite a lot of flack for not recruiting high school kids. Got our first 4* (247) and GJK says he'll be our Travis Hunter, playing both ways. Apparently he was a composite 4* up until recently and now is *just* under the mark. Regardless of stars, it's badass to have 3 Top 100 players in TX (63, 70, 83) when we've never landed even 1 prior. Relative to the new PAC:
  3. That's a little surprising, bc it seemed like Tulane with Napier's LA connections would be a good fit. Coach O to TU?

    Shit My Kid Says

    He made it up. Duh.
  5. I have hardly heard one peep about Bama's LOSS to OU who Texas beat by 3 scores. And the idiot Chair of the committee made Bama's win on Saturday looked like a signature win against Auburn when Bama got out of their just as lucky as we did with our games against UK and MSU. When Bama is sitting with three loses on Saturday and it the loss to UGA is ugly, the H2H against OU SHOULD be an issue and they need to totally relook at their crap effort against Auburn. And we need not forget Bama had to comeback and beat a shitty South Carolina too 29-22 and and held on for a close one against Mizzou who fizzled as the season went on. Yea, Bama is getting special treatment this year because the media narrative is they got screwed last year. Committee is making it up to them.
  6. Tell me something I did not know, maybe I should have said it as follows: Based on the bullshit from the committee ND should not take the risk of Miami jumping them and Miami should assure them selves of a spot by beating ND again. It is the only way that a 13th game would benefit anyone b y taking out of the committees hands. P.S. Even us if there is a major injury to the winning team😉
  7. Agreed But, teams #25-30 are gonna feel like they've gotten screwed too. There is no perfect system, but we should strive to make it as objective as possible with auto-qualifiers and league/division champions. There will always be bias and fuckery with polls and team rankings.
  8. Jordan Scruggs at 247 Sports has said multiple times that Sark and staff need to change their slow ball approach to recruiting
  9. I want to watch Pulisic and all of our US players in places they can thrive.
  10. After all these years you would figure that they would be used to being mocked and laughed at, after all its turdition.
  11. Maybe he can be the Mac Jones of Texas RBs
  12. Why is the PAC-12 on here? Washington State and Oregon State are a combined 8-16. That’s the entire PAC-12. It’s not even a glorified MWC (yet). James Madison just beat PAC-12 champion Wazzou 24-20. The fuck outta here. The B12 is being treated similar to the ACC. The ACC is doing all it can to not get a bid.
  13. You picked a fine time to leave me.
  14. this is an impressive #bothsides, and from a nazi sympathizer comic artist no less. Classic, did babayaga link that one to you?
  15. I was confident Texas was out a long time ago. That said, my main issue is the extreme inconsistencies. Sometimes it's eyeball test, sometimes head to head, sometimes win/loss, never apparently SOS, or losing a head coach. It's mind numbingly subjective and clear that biases and personal motivations play a much bigger part than any metric.
  16. All he has done for like three years is study it vs playing. What the heck else has he had to do? Rooting for the kid but he cannot stay healthy. Maybe he will pull it together next year and stay on field but at this point in time you 100% cannot count on him doing so.
  17. I like our team and love the future PHX and DAL picks to reload as the roster ages/gets too expensive.
  18. Well, it's obvious Morris isn't a greedy bastard. He can play more for the best assistants, too. Sounds like he's got a plan to get OSU scaled up quickly with UNT's top players, as well. Mestemaker should be a good QB, especially in the Big 12.
  19. Here's an interesting stat. This year will be the fourth year in a row that a Texas transfer was named 1st team All American.
  20. I think the issue is what he was was nothing spectacular
  21. Help me think this through. Especially in light of C-Man’s previous post and a suspect carrier. On Monday my wife was sitting at a light in a pouring rainstorm and was hit from behind by a lady who I suspect was distracted. I arrived 10 minutes post accident and she was hysterical - 25 yrs old, telling me she drives for door dash and has 3 kids. I just wanted to make sure she didn't need first aid or an ambulance as all her airbags were deployed. Per her address on the accident report she lives in a rough neighborhood. I've been praying for her as it appears this accident impacts our lives far less dramatically than hers. I've got USAA and the at fault driver has Dairyland. My research suggest Dairyland is a non-standard insurer for high-risk drivers, and the witness who was cool enough to stick around until the v police arrived and gave me her information said that the at fault driver had SR-22 insurance, which seems sub optimal. Reviews suggest that carrier sucks. The at fault driver was cited for failure to control speed. I've filed a claim with dairyland, but right now I’m leaning towards filing with USAA and letting them hash it out with the other carrier. I'm going to use a reputable shop and am about to have it towed over tomorrow, and either get a rental from USAA or have my wife use her late mother’s car. Wife got hit hard - we immediately went to one of those neighborhood ERs and she had scans to rule out fractures, and she's taking toredol. I told her that's what they give banged-up football players so they can get back on the field. Whiplash, back pain, neck pain - at this point I'm ready to unleash my lawyer for justifiable pain and suffering damages. Lawyer said for my wife to give him a dollar and keep him in the loop, he is essentially my surrogate dad after my own passed away. So, should I just have the car towed to my preferred shop and unleash USAA? At what point do I ask my lawyer to take action?
  22. Eyeball tests and close games/scored truly matter, except when they don't, apparently.
