  2. The Zoo was great, ny 7YO's loved it. Bodega breakfast taco's were fine, had several breakfast taco's catered at events and I don't recall from where but given I love in NY...I'm happy. BBQ from Pit Room one evening at catered event, Brisket, Sausage, Chickenb, Turkey, tater saladm etc. not bad, a little salty on the end pieces. Also catered event at Cadillac BAr...checked my mid level Tex-Mex box. Grangers.... had the crab hushpuppies...fuck yes! the Redfish Pontchartrain with crawfish eEtouffee slams.
  3. Astros fan check-in. Has anyone here made threats to LMJ, or his family over the last 2 weeks? I really feel the most any of us surly horn Karens would ever do, is leave an absolutely scathing review on his cafe’s website. Surly on, my fellow fanatics. Go Stros. Oh and I hope we figuratively decapitate the royals tonight.
  4. Dove in… puts on @ Spy 574, Friday exp. 2.85 premium.

    2025 ACL

I mean, look. It was Mothers' Day. I had gotten Mrs.LL flowers but nothing else. And her teenaged children typically had their heads up their asses. So they had done an inadequate job of prepping for Mothers' Day. And Mrs.LL expressed her excitement over this slate (particularly Doechii and Doja Cat) during brunch. Add to that the fact that I've never been to ACL, but I think I'd hate it. Hot. Crowded. And crowded with sweaty people. With outdoor toilets--not my jam. But even so, we're not going to live in Austin that much longer. And I kinda feel like I've got to go to ACL once. Just to do an Austin thing. Is that a long way to say that I now have Platinum tickets for ACL Fest? Yes. Yes, it is.
  6. I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that everything we buy from China is now only 30% more expensive. Thank God, Bezos and Elmo won’t have to pay those crippling taxes anymore.
  7. nothing surprising about that...MAGA is nothing more than a coalition of techbros, nationalistic evangelicals and libertarians.
  8. Kamala campaigned on lowering Rx prices and they called it communism. turnip tries to do it now and they are praising his name. you can’t make this shit up
  9. SNL should really stop doing a Trump cold open every episode. They can’t compete with this nonsense.
  10. But, think about what we are getting for it. We are getting a certificate for a "Platinum Preferred" place in line to lick the boots of our oligarchs! Where is YOUR spot in line, libtard? Yeah, that's what I thought. You losers aren't even going to GET to taste their delicious boots!
  11. The Brits would like to have a word.
  12. Burger King. Not McDonalds.
  13. Remember in Trump's first term when he accepted a fucking soccer ball from Russia that had an NFC chip in it? I 'member.
  14. But it's free. What are you, some CROOKED DEMOCRAT?
  15. No. TexAgs is.
  16. But what if they promise you a good performance review?

  19. Arkansas and Florida threw strikes and we lost. We have to be able to change our approach when dudes are locating fastballs over the plate to get ahead. All weekend it was: Fastball for strike 1. Slider strike 2. foul pitches / maybe some balls. Strike 3 on an off speed pitch or caught guessing off speed and a strike 3 fastball. outside of the saved by the rain delay game 6th inning. Making pitchers work but still striking out helps no one.

I think I do an acceptable job staying on top of new music for an old. I don't have to like everything.
  21. He is an idiot. But 65% of Americans only read up to stocks soar. So he is the biggest idiot in control of a large group of idiots.
  22. Are we really about to have a debate on whether it’s ok for a US president to accept a $400 million dollar gift from a foreign country?
  23. Beau Vine was one of, or THE organizer. He was living in Wimberley at the time. I remember meeting him, Northloop, MIA and a few others but can't remember the other usernames. There was a cool pic of the group that was there that day on the old site. And yes, great BBQ after. My wife and I went down the following weekend and landed up helping an older couple (in their 80's) clean out their home off of Cypress Creek (feeds into the Blanco). They at first didn't want our help, thinking others were much worse off as they ONLY had 5' of water in their house and out buildings. We left around 6 that evening after getting all the mud out of the home.
  24. Over Texas Wesleyan? But i get your point
