  1. Past hour
  2. I’ll be the first to admit I was super wrong about Marsh. But he had some real deal baggage. Maybe going to Michigan and getting some separation from his family has helped him lock in.
  3. We're a Christian nation, though.
  4. This is all so fucking stupid. A vote isn’t even needed, Dotard. Just release everything. It’s almost like he doesn’t actually want that to happen. Weird.
  5. I have to believe that if there was a smoking gun against anyone, there would have been indictments and prosecutions. Epstein's original deal is fairly inexplicable with respect to federal involvement (I verily believe that state authorities tend to be more manipulable than federal in the case of child sexual abuse). Federal child sex abuse prosecutors are jihadists. They truly believe they are doing God's work (maybe they are), and Epstein was going to be and Maxwell was prosecuted in the aftermath. They didn't leave convictable sex offenders unprosecuted.
  6. Ahh... My Friday brain reemerges... And I was pretty excited to just barely have my covered calls fall OTM. So I am getting to enjoy Monday and Tuesday. The Good news is my hedge is keeping me sort of dog paddling. But since I did buy in a bit more Friday... I guess I could buy more, but I remember somebody's IBRX dollar cost averaging from a while back...
  7. You win the internet. Or does @immamacnot give the trophies out no more.
  8. Here's the basics for 4 thighs (I doubled): Start with making a paste on a large sheetpan that includes peeled rinds from two lemons (reserving juice from the lemons), 1 tbsp. salt, 8 smashed garlic cloves, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1.5 tbsp oregano, 1.5 tbsp coriander, and 1 tsp crushed red pepper. Toss with chicken thighs and 1.5 lbs fingerling potatoes sliced lengthwise. Arrange in a single layer, chicken side up, and roast on 400 for 50-60 minutes until chicken skin is crisp and golden brown. After removing from oven, put chicken and potatoes on serving platter. Pour reserved juice from the two lemons onto sheet pan, stirring with a spatula to scrape up the brown bits, and then pour it all over the chicken and potatoes. Sprinkle feta and parsley on top.
  9. My former Congressman (Don Bacon, NE-2) once explained at a town hall that people should negotiate their health plan with their employer. It was met with laughter and boos. He seemed surprised when people explained to him that's not how it works. The dude went from the Air Force to Congress and had never worked for a private-sector employer. He is reasonably intelligent, but has zero fucking concept what reality is for 95% of Americans. He just votes how he is told to vote.
  10. I've given it a lot of thought too. The best I can come up with is some kind of lacquer treatment, but I don't have very high expectations, it's extra work, and it's a little contrary to the "trial by ordeal" process that sees some succeed where others fail. Also, I suspect that perhaps the die is genetically cast. Not all appear to be appealing to rodents, and not all rot into mush. Some have only one of the two known weaknesses and those still fail to survive, so it's a more complex and multivariate situation than I think any of us fully understand.
  11. It’s possible that Sark still wants to coach moving forward. It’s in his best interests to not be fired for cause again like he was when he showed up drunk at USC. Another firing for similar or off field stuff such has been described here leads that he’d be damaged good and likely not receive a 3rd chance at redemption
  12. it's just...the stupidest shit every single day. negotiate my own healthcare? wtf are you talking about?
  13. Assuming all of this gets reconciled and swept under the rug in the event we close the season with a little momentum at 9-3. At 8-4 and a blowout loss to A&M with Reed throwing for 500 yards and things get dicey. At 7-5 and a loss to Arkansas and the dirty laundry (rehab, drunk on job, wife drama, etc) gets aired and we see a "mutual parting of the ways".
  14. Junior Day is for suckers and pool time for 3star OL now. ain't nobody got time for no fucking "Junior Day".
  15. He said mutually split ways, you’re saying sark is committing heinous horrible shit and will embarrass the university on the way out. Which one are we suppose to believe in this, completely fabricated currently, scenario? The “y’all” and “folks” in your long winded diatribe is probably like 2 people lol. Weed might be affecting your cognitive ability a little bit. Who has defended sark at every turn???
  16. Heading back down next week. This is our third time going during the Thanksgiving week, but first time we will be there on Thursday. Last two times we opted to stay at our resort since the kids were younger, and one visit was during Covid. I think I want to take the family on an excursion this time. Boys are 10 and 12. I was thinking about a sailing/snorkeling trip with lunch included. My wife won't snorkel, but she will drink the drinks. Anyone have experience with any of the services down there? Any other excursions that can be recommended.
  17. IF and its a big if we go 2-0 to close out (with convincing wins would help)@ 9-3 may get us in. Im not saying the likelihood is great b/c of our body of work up to this point, but a Bama loss to Auburn would give them the same # of losses and 2 worse losses than ours. Its a small window, but its still open. In no particular order this could happen: TAMU, UGA,tOSU, IU, OU, Notre Dame, Tech, ACC, Group of Five, Ole Miss, Texas, Oregon (Byu loses to Cincy would be 10-2 and Bama loses to Auburn would be 9-3) . We would jump Utah imo. A Mizzou win at Norman would help too.
  18. I still can’t help but wonder of there is another step or something you could add to your process that would decrease your mortality rate. Dunno why my mind keeps going there. Starved for a problem to solve, I guess.
  19. Good Fortune - Loved this movie, highly recommend it. Funny, entertaining, and a lot of interesting social commentary between the poors and the rich.
  20. I wasn’t posting what I would do, just noting that even without making moves there is reason to be hopeful about the lineup being better than last season. I’ve said it a bunch before but if I were GM I would be looking to use the position player depth/versatility to follow where the market leads. I would be gauging value for Diaz, Walker, Pena, Paredes, Smith, Meyers, Sanchez, Urias, and Dubon (along with the near-ready prospects like Dezenzo, Cole, Matthews, and Melton) to see where I think the best value was. The Astros have 4 primary needs: ToR SP durable MoR SP backup C lefty bat to balance the lineup (preferably able to play the OF and hit leadoff) A pipe dream wish list would also include improving the farm system. If you’re asking for a prediction, I think the Astros are going to trade Jake Meyers, Jesus Sanchez, and one or two of Walker, Paredes, Pena, Dubon, or Urias. It will also not shock me if they trade Diaz although I would not bet on it.
  21. We're wrong. It's not the refineries or gas, although that's nice. @PTINS or anyone else who is smart. Which of these places produces Nitrogen Tetroxide? And how big would facility need to be?
  22. Are you kidding? It will be unanimous now. Trump has given the green light and all constituencies want it, so there’s no political danger in voting for it now.
  23. CDC is an idiot. Seriously, though, if Sark missed something "big" like that, it was not unexplained to the AD and CDC under any circumstances, but especially with a coach that has a history of substance abuse. It may have been kept on the QT, down low, and very hush-hush because it was very personal. As in, man, I need to take some personal time to deal with Loreal or whatever, or my health.
  24. I have no clue what’s going but the only thing I can figure is Sark is on that Epstein list or something. Or maybe it’s Lane and Kirby on that list. Did I get that right?
  25. The wife loves this show for some reason. I like it enough to stick with it, but it's pretty goofy.
  26. Would love to know the details behind this as well, its a big reason why I initally disregarded the rumors.
