  1. Past hour
  2. What if you have first class seats?
  3. So many of the high-value stocks are simply utter vibes and bullshit. It's insane. And the day that the world realizes the emperor has no clothes is going to be a fucking bloodbath market-wise. I mean, imagine if Tesla or AMD were actually valued based on their fundamentals tomorrow morning.
  4. I was catching a rideshare from the airport back to my house the other day, and as we were traversing one of the sketchier parts of airport blvd, there was a disheveled looking dude in an empty parking lot pacing around an old, beat-to-shit hearse looking like he was up to no good. The hearse had the words "wish you were here" stenciled across the back window. I laughed.
  5. If Chapel Bill is run out of town I will be disappointed (but not surprised). His ridiculous hiring and coronation; North Carolina desperately throwing everything behind him in terms of resources; the whole Jordan "I'm not a whore, we're really in love" fiasco; her trademarking of every dumb saying imaginable; hiring all of his dipshit sons as coaches; and his severe failings as a college football HC have been one of the great stories of the last 10 months. If he leaves, heaven help us, we will have to focus on Texas football again.
  6. Belichick killing himself recruiting in Florida?
  7. My 8 year old (about to be 9) is obsessed with the Wings of Fire books. They're about dragons, so in the fantasy realm. There's a lot going on in those and I'm always amazed how she keeps everything straight. I picked up my first Raymond Chandler/Philip Marlowe book about a month ago and have torn through 3 of them since. Put them in the "still relevant 75+ years later for a reason" category. Extremely well written and quick reads.
  8. Brent Venables loved the updated Cracker Barrel logo.
  9. The thing is he could have gone the “talking head” route initially. Now He has made his legacy a joke. I really hope the sex and the crazy pussy was magma cum laude level cuz he done fried up his career for it. She will pivot and podcast style do a tell all. Bill managed to piss off Kraft as well. The final fall out from this will be spectacular.
  10. Really? What is that, exactly?
  11. If it weren’t for these catastrophic issues, we’d probably be pretty damn good, man.
  12. It needs some umbrellas desperately. Does look cool and useful, though.
  13. Oppo teams are releasing the hounds.
  14. Blackbraid concert was sick. Opener Lamp of Murmuur was actually surprisingly good with lots of energy and riffage, and they were cool as hell after the show. But BB totally brought the house down. The way they weave in the Native American stuff is so cool and seems genuine, not really a schtick. But mostly it's the intensity -- just nonstop brutality and energy. Plus it was very cool to be up against the stage with my son just full-on raging. You can see him halfway through this video, although he's nothing more than just a mass of flailing hair. Badass. Also the dudes in BB were very cool. They gave me a drumstick and the setlist after the show, shook hands all around. During the show one of the guitarists leaned over to press his forehead against mine and screamed in my face while wailing away on his solo. At one point the singer jumped into the crowd between my son and I and just started moshing it up with us and the sold-out crowd. It was loud, sweaty, the smell of beer / weed / sweat in the air, bodies being thrown, feeling the amps reverberating in my feet and chest, fists and horns flying, dude setting something on fire on the stage -- what more do you want from a fucking metal show?? 15. Venables asks for a cup of asswater with his meal at Golden Corral.
  16. Just stumbled across this trailer. I wasn't aware the world needed more of the IT universe, but I guess HBO feels differently. 8 episodes in all. I dont see how Steven King isnt a billionaire by this point.
  17. Brent Venables thinks George Harrison's solo stuff is better than the Beatles.
  18. Gmlawtexas.com
  19. Bill fucking Belichick rummaging through old media contacts to try to find a soft landing as a pregame talking head is quite humorous.
  20. Brent Venables coaches the Oklahoma Sooners football team
  21. Can't find it now, but lawfare or justsecurity had an article about how the presidential immunity decision really fucks up the chain of command. Because every presidential decision pursuant to commander-in-chief powers is presumptively if not conclusively immune from prosecution, an unlawful order from POTUS will never be adjudicated as such. Therefore, officers confronted with an unlawful order from POTUS are unlikely to be vindicated, at least in the form of POTUS being adjudged guilty of issuing an unlawful order. Particularly at the highest levels of the armed forces. Junior officers can still be vindicated from unlawful orders of superiors under POTUS. Quite problematic and frightening.
