  2. Get a permit. Hire security. Cover all the bases and you can be Illinois Nazis and block the road. Might get some protests but it's legal. The Mormons had to fight it out in court to build a tall spired temple in Fairview, but it's going to be built. If the very fine people in Charlottesville can have a hate parade they can have one for Ganesha up in DFW.
  3. Will Johnson missed most of their season. Again they weren’t good when we played them and as pointed out our RBs only got 88 yards at 3 ypc.
  4. Not Coleman. He looked like he was the favorite target.
  5. Just realize basketball is way more transactional than football. Even now. And football is very transactional. All things being equal then how the program presents itself is very important, so I don't want to say it's meaningless, but programs come in with huge NIL offers out of the blue in basketball all the time. Practically every top player is potentially Felix Ojo. NIL endorsements have always been more lucrative in basketball than other sports. Think of the king of them all, Michael Jordan, who really shifted the whole endorsement deal into a higher plane. Texas has a couple of well heeled boosters who are friends to the basketball program almost exclusively, so Texas has some firepower. But they're not Phil Knight level wealthy, or even Cody Campbell wealthy. It will be interesting to see how Miller is able to navigate all of this. This isn't his first rodeo, but the rules of the game are different now. Before it used to be the shoe companies and AAU affiliations were the primary thing to navigate. We've seen a couple of championship teams in the NIL era that did it by keeping guys on campus for a while rather than fielding an NBA first round draft pick at every position the way Calipari used to. Not that Florida or Houston didn't have any NIL dollars invested in their teams. They had a lot. But it's as much about managing the roster as it is getting every player you're after.
  6. Lol. We literally do it to everyone. Consistently. Every year. Since eternity.
  7. Is this an actual student? I mean aggy is dumb but I don't think they are this dumb.
  8. You are not a smart person.
  9. 2024 Michigan D had 4 guys drafted in first 3 rounds including 2 DT taken in first round and a DE to go along with potential NFL superstar Will Johnson.
  10. We’ve been sucked into rehashing last year’s run offense (again), but I want to point out that the original claim was that we’ve struggled with running the ball against quality opponents for 4 years. That’s Sark’s entire tenure. Wild claim. Some have forgotten that our run offense was far ahead of the pass game for multiple years and featured these highlights: - We closed a season running wildcat because all our QBs were hurt - We won multiple games by shutting down the offense and only running the ball in the second half - The biggest complaint about our first CFP loss was that we didn’t stick with the run - We had 4 OL and 5 RBs drafted (that I can remember off the top of my head) I don’t have the time or desire to go into individual game box scores, player accolades, or coach advancements, but it’s just not true that Sark/Flood are incapable of putting together a good run offense that performs against good teams. It is true, however, that Sark’s tenure is now long enough that people are forgetting what actually happened along the way
  11. BBQ joint coming to the old Petrol Station? "Heights BBQ" is a pop-up run by the guy who used to be the pitmaster at Pipers BBQ on Shepherd. In the comments on a Facebook post about this, the guy confirmed that it will not be called "Heights BBQ" and is not affiliated with the Pipers/Preslee's group.
  12. The PFF score fetishizing has really kicked up this season. Are there any former coaches or players that can opine on how closely their grading system matches up with that used by college programs? PFF Player Grades -2 to +2 on any given play. 0 being average.
  13. 910k jobs that didn’t exist? Messing up the industry for like a year. habibs take
  14. Running yards are like golf shots, they dont ask how, they just ask how many.
  15. God I love that movie.
  16. I don't have the courage to google "hot nepalese moms".
  17. I think a let down against SJSU should have been expected. They had just lost "the biggest opening game in the history of college football" against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. They put so much into that game all offseason, got their bubble burst, and then had an early start against a team that plays a completely different style than they typically see. There's obviously a lot to clean up, but I don't know how you could expect them to be as dialed in as they were against Ohio State. I think we're going to be okay.
  18. College is weird. They include sack yards. Probably the easiest thing to do is just use the RB carries. Just think about the delta between Quinn and Arch on rushing yards.
  19. It’s pretty true to East Tennessee, having spent a fair bit of time there over the years. I saw her NetFlix standup special and it was moderately funny. She’s a mostly PG-rated comic who does observational humor about Southerners, largely laughing with, not at, them, and focusing more on relationships. Sort of a mashup of Jeff Foxworthy and Rita Rudner. There’s a niche for that, she’ll probably be able to get gigs in Pigeon Forge and Branson until she’s 80 if she wants to. Her joke about her Dad wanting to make sure he had the Roku channel so he could watch The Rockford Files hit a little too close to home, however.
  20. Pics or gtfo.

  22. Don't know if anyone shared something like this yet.
  23. Full video is out there now. Stomach churning. No one helped even after guy was clearly leaving train. Very sad situation.
  24. If Bo Ogden is a priority target and we can't land him, we need to fire the general manager. I'm only partly joking. The recruiting pitch should be, "Son, if you don't come to Texas they're going to fire me."
