Unforgotten - agree. Fantastic. Blue Lights - somehow I hadn't noticed it but I've added it to my list. Gets great reviews. The Gold - had already added to my list based on the trailer. Looked like a must see to me. Karen Pirie - another British detective show. Season 1 was three years ago and episodes from S2 have just started dropping. S1 was near top-tier but haven't had time to get to S1 yet. Another good show from this year is Ludwig, where this time it's the detective who goes missing. It's on the lighter side but sophisticated and enjoyable. Also on the lighter side, the third spin-off from the Beyond/Death in Paradise series is out and imo it's a big upgrade from the first two - Return to Paradise. Based/filmed in Australia, it feels more like Brokenwood but with 1 hour episodes and a female lead detective.

Game Week Thread 2025 Game Week 6: RRS Texas v OU
westexhorn replied to Wulaw Horn's topic in Football
Venables DL is very aggressive. If Sark doesn't have a game plan to mitigate the disaster that is this OL, OU is going to set sack record and break Arch in half. -

There's plans for a BRT system grade separated running along I-10 from Northwest Transit Center into downtown. Metro isn't building more rail, and isn't building the BRT to be readily converted to rail because John Culberson wants everyone to stay in cars. -
TDP needs to negotiate some small victory for the upcoming ACA subsidy decreases and then let the remainder go. Will people lose the healthcare ins, suffer and die? Yep but that is what America voted for. Then start educating Americans in purple and red states why theyβre in such trouble now. Remember many Americans state their hatred of Obamacare but that they love their ACA plan and subsidy. Theyβre ignorant of the truth. The plan shouldnβt be to hope that Americans see the light on their own. The plan should be to scare Americans of maga. Get trumps approvals number down to 20 so that even gop senators up for re-election have to abandon him or maybe just intentionally slow him down. americans need a painful lesson to end their infatuation with maga and project 2025. TDP may just need to step out of the way and let maga take care of that especially over the next 13 months.

He hasnβt said shit but same old bullshit philosophical dribble. I just want this fucking guy to be pissed off in a press conference and not be a condescending prick when a tough question gets asked -
I'll see your Ezra Klein and raise you a Jonathan Chait. https://archive.is/F6N7s

I'm not inviting another long story, but I thought you went to aggy?

Itβs not a firehose. Itβs a deck gun putting out 1000 gpm. But to answer your question, that single one against that much fire volume is doing absolutely fuck all. Now, once the tower ladder in the background gets a water supply and starts flowing the 2500 gpm itβs capable of, things will start to change.

Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again

I was listening to Paul Wadlington in the IT post game threat and he mentions that there must be some soul searching in the talent evaluation/player personnel side of things, especially regarding the OL. Someone lied or was in denial this off season because there's no way the conclusion was this OL was good to go. -

I noticed Sark has not said "the standard is the standard" so far this season. -

There is truth to this. Hard to figure out what the staff saw from the OL that gave them any confidence going into the season -

This is the exact same excuse A&M fans used after the 2022 season. "It was a super young team!!1!" Jimbo lasted just ten more games. -
They got pushed around by Florida's O line. They donβt get off blocks. It happened during our three scrimmage games too but it wasnβt as glaring.

Iβm reminded how the postal service started downgrading its services in 2017 to align with financial realities. Now the service is much slower and more unreliable, and gives the public the belief that we donβt need the postal service. You can always destroy something by intentionally making it worse so that no one complains when you propose to end it. If I were metro rail, I would publish 25 or 50 year visions to show what the system could become, even if the odds of completing the plans are low. Afton Oaks doesnt want a line down Richmond, publish a plan that says it will go underground there. Create a plan for a line to go down Memorial drive from uptown park to downtown. Etc. -
Forgot to include the part where I couldn't find the live stream can and had to use one of the phones taped up in the tree to live stream the tailgate.

I thought it was weird that Collin Simmons made four plays all game, and they were in a row. Memory is a tad fuzzy, so I may have missed a play or two, but the point kind of still stands.

I too like wagons. Hell, I learned to tie my shoes way in the back of an Ambassador Wagon while Dad drove us through Tennessee on our way to Georgia. But seriously, I too like that Buick Regal wagon. I think they could have put the 3.6 into it and made it really special rather than just sticking with the 2.0L turbo.

The Reba McEntire effect/affect. Iβve been down every backroad in Oklahoma and nobody sounds like that over the top cornpone.

Those Bucs- 'Hawks unis take me back to 1976 when they both entered the league as expansion franchises. It was a lot tougher back then, but Seattle was in the AFC West and competed like hell with Steve Largent, Kenny Easley, Jim Zorn and Company. Tampa Bay went 0-26 out of the gate, but eventually won 2 Super Bowls. Their coach, John McKay was funny AF, but the team flat out sucked.

Dumb question amnesty, but is that lone firehose actually doing anything?
