I've never had a bad meal there but possibly some nostalgia clouding that as I've been going for 20 years now. Maybe an off night if that is the review (never had bad sides or a steak that wasn't solid) although haven't been in over a year though now that I think of it. Pappas Bros. might be the best with the worst location. Haven't been in almost 10 years and doubt I will any time soon. Plenty of good steaks that are half the drive or less and might actually have a place nearby for pre or post dinner drinks.

Kirk would be crying by the end of that debate. Hitchens has double the IQ of Kirk and Trump combined -
Just learned that BYUtv has been creating shorts about "celebrating excellence across the Big 12 and beyond": link. Most are about athletes and coaches, but there are some other ones, too. Sharing in case some of you are interested. For example:

I think stacking the box would be a major mistake. OSU went mostly light boxes and dared Texas to bet them running the football. If UTEP didnt feel the need to stack the box, why would anyone else? The only thing Arch has done at a reasonable level is run the ball and throw deep. No need to open yourself up to explosive plays. I would say the same for blitzing. Why give Arch easy reads or open yourself up for him to scramble, while your DBs have their backs turned in man coverage. PK would destroy this offense. Just take away explosives and force them to execute 8-10 play scoring drives. You can always adjust if out of the blue the offense finds a running game or a consistent short passing game. -

This. The decline in American religious life and the negatives it brings aren't so much about a "loss of faith" as they are a "loss of community." People's "church group" and "church friends" are important in keeping people grounded, and believe it or not, even offer some diversity (more than you have in much more insular community). I grew up in a Catholic parish, and am involved in a Presbyterian church today. In both groups were people of different experiences, different socioeconomic groups (grew up with some pretty rich kids, and some whose families were just scraping by, but we were all at the church picnic and our first communion together). But the point is, they were a community. Our "Bowling Alone" problems have only become more acute, impacted by both the COVID experience and the increasing ability (and incentive) to engage online only. Having a church community is a counter to that phenomenon, and by losing that community (along with all the other communities we've been losing), we've become even further adrift. The truth is that "we are all in this together." But the "truth" we are trying to live (and failing at, by the way) is "fuck you, I'm all that matters, and I can't be sure I'm winning if I don't see you losing." Zero-sum thinking is almost always destructive, and we've elevated it to a near-holy rite. -

What seems to be (from outside looking in, you can tell me if I'm way off base), but it seems to be this is a teen male dominated thing (e.g. incels, groypers, gamergates, etc.) and it's not very typical for teen girls to get wrapped around the black pill dystopia chronically online axel. -
Well most of the ATM’s at least in tourist areas ask if you want colones or dollars.

Sark being dumbfounded on a weekly basis for years now that defenses are installing the package that he’s consistently stymied by is a very good recurring bit -
Also of note, there's going to be a lot of really pissed off victims who are going to be doing a lot more interviews, not to mention more documents and emails coming out. The Trump administration does not understand the Barbara Streisand effect. Poor Venezuela, we hardly knew ya.

Yes I think we had knowledge. I am inferring that from these provable facts: This summer we defended against Iran's bombing in Qatar. We have the defense technology to shoot down. Last week we did not defend against Israel's bombing in Qatar. We (still, 4 months later) have the defense technology to shoot down. It logically follows that we, in some form or fashion whether explicitly or tacitly, a) had knowledge and b) allowed for it to happen. If Qatar wasn't pissed, that is what would be weird.

We are going to wreck Sam Houston, but then this problem on offense will get worse before it gets better. If you're a SEC defensive coordinator, you're licking your chops. Texas has a QB that is having trouble with basic short and intermediate passes, but sees his strength as the deep pass, but is easily rattled. What do you do? 3-high safety shell to take away any deep ball - UTEP did this Single cover the WRs who the QB can't hit anyway in short passes and/or play soft zone - all SEC defenses can do this easily Stack the box to kill the run game that the Texas O-line can't push anyway - cantwait.gif Blitz over and over Even if Arch stumbles into a handful of slants or seam passes, SEC defenses are going to make him dink/dunk down the field now - because he can't do it. And we can't run it well enough either.
