Dem Strategeries For Mass Cult Reprogramming
Snake Diggity replied to Al Bundy's Napoleon Hand's topic in Cloak Room
Short term emergency priorities (to stop the bleeding and win the next presidency): 1. Find likable, charismatic leaders who can appeal to a broad range of voters. The current roster of 2028 hopefuls fucking sucks: a California douchebag named “Gavin”, a super smart gay dude who black people will never show up for, a milquetoast dude from Kentucky, and a bunch of other people who lack personality. I don’t who it is, but they need a leader that can unify people and get them to show up. 2. Demonize the rich. Almost all of the political issues being framed by race and gender should really be about class. Wealth consolidation is destroying our society. It is going to take a long time to make change, but Democrats need to pound the narrative to get the ball rolling and switch the narrative. The Democrats have the platform that benefits the poor and middle class, and they need to sell it. >99.999% of people with a net worth over $100,000,000.00 are pieces of shit. They’re the problem. 3. Ditch intellectualism. I actually think this might be happening. I’ve noticed several Dems starting to regularly curse during appearances; that is a good start. Showing some legit anger and candor and speaking the way the median person speaks is the way. This also means Dems showing up a lot more in rural areas. Medium term (the next time they win the presidency and majority): 1. Pack the courts. It’s the only move to quickly reverse some of the damage Trump has done. 2. Universal healthcare. Once they get it, the GOP will never be able to take it away. 3. Balanced budget amendment. They will be able to live with this more than the GOP will, because there’s a TON more room to add revenue than there is to cut spending. The debt is a real risk, and it’s no longer a far off consequence. Long term: 1. Lead the way to manage the pending demographic crisis. This means making it more appealing for folks to start families (extended paid parental leave, increased tax credits for childcare) and managing immigration to bring in additional young people as needed. I also like the idea of subsidized 0% interest home loans for all first time buyers. 2. Manage the changes brought on by AI and automation. Before we know it (it could be less than a decade from now), 70%+ of white collar and 30%+ of blue collar jobs will be gone. This might mean Universal Basic Income or a dramatically reduced work week. 3. Keep the pipeline of leadership full and improve civic engagement and voter education. Among other things it means figuring out how to fight misinformation. -
Switzerland, you're on deck.

After a shitty experience with an Airbnb this Summer that caused us to move to a hotel...the hotel was awesome and salvaged the trip. Should have just booked it in the first place.

The guy had an extensive criminal background including mutilation of corpses. https://www.wxyz.com/news/local-news/investigations/traverse-city-stabbing-suspect-had-decades-long-mental-health-struggles-criminal-history Recidivism is one of those things that is absolutely radicalizing. A small amount of people account for an insane amount of overall crime. For example, in NYC just over 300 people accounted for 1/3 of shoplifting arrests (over 6000) in 2023. “Three strikes laws” have gotten a fairly bad rap but we could implement like an 8 strike law and achieve a similar effect of a drop in crime. I would absolutely vote for a ballot initiative to incarcerate each of those 300 people for life if I was a New Yorker. We should focus on rehab and release only for people with 1-2 offenses. Different prisons, different interventions, everything. Over five should mean you’re gone forever.

News now reporting shooter is down. Dead. He went up to the 33rd floor of a building and shot multiple people and many were in the stairwells possibly trying to flee. At least 6 people have been shot. The NY Post is saying the building is the NFL HQ address. Not sure what office is on the 33rd floor.

Talk economics, but if they bring up a social issue, ask them how that directly impacts them. Honestly, I think poisoned kool-aid may be the only solution at this point. A lot of these folks are net drains on society. -

Remember how we got CJK5H trending? Feels like we should be able to get, "Trump is a pedophile, allegedly," going as well. -
Something major is going on in midtown manhattan. Lots of credible sources reporting similarly on X but it hasn’t hit the television news yet, it will. not precisely sure of all the details bc this shit is always messy and fluid when it breaks but there is a massive police presence and they are asking everyone to stay away from the area.

I like to imagine that Granit Xhaka sat through one practice with Erik Ten Hag and afterwards he called his agent and said “I’ll go anywhere else”.

The superior Shipley donut can be eaten off the shelf without getting sticky fingers. Duncan and Krispy Kreme are nasty by nature and there is no choice but to get icky fingers. -
