  1. Past hour
  2. well... considering he died of cancer in 1940... I would say thats only 1/6th accurate.
  3. I thought Jake Smith was going to be a world beater. Oops.
  4. Had some good moments but overall, meh but that's to be expected. The show didn't need a re-boot at all.

    2025 ACL

Pretty common back in the minstrel days:
  6. Just out of curiosity, what was criminal about it? There are elements of the here and now college football world I don’t like, but it’s opened up the potential of the University of Texas. I’m going to say Sark ends it as the most accomplished football coach at Texas.
  7. I started reading Hornfans around that age. You've all done immeasurable damage to me and I demand compensation.
  8. They've let Nike, who is usually the more conservative brand, go off the reservation on their alts. Adidas is going to create some creamsicle crimes against humanity.
  9. All through Texas you can pinpoint when schools named after Confederate leaders were opened and it’s almost always going to be in the 1950s-60s.
  10. Geez, everything there is telling. She is one of those "likes to argue" people. Either picking fights by yelling insults at everyone or just finding slight in any and every word uttered to her. But yeah, that last tweet she really does show how dumb she is. She acts like every trash novel writer is Danielle Steele or Nora Roberts when most are just scraping by. And completely neglecting the work done by Steele and Roberts.
  11. As far as Midland goes, I always found it odd that a school located in a place that was not even remotely settled by Americans during the time of the Civil War would name a school after any U.S. figure of that time period. A Comanche name would be much more appropriate.
  12. To clarify, Elko is a dead man walking because he's morbidly obese and hates salad.
  13. I am guessing Hank got really into soccer in Saudi Eye-rabia because: A noon kickoff in Texas would be 9pm there The Cowboys' record (and playoff record) the entire time he was in SA was pretty average (regular season) to abysmal (playoff success), so I doubt he bothered too much with trying to figure out how to watch games, even in the American compound

He does NOT have a fucking capo on that thing 😂
  15. This place? It won't be anything of the sort because it will be nuked. No chance "this place" stays online if we are 3-2. The crash would happen before the final whistle in Gainesville. Just one that shouldn't have a scholarship, let alone see the field. Amirite?
  16. Should name it after A.P. Hill, the Confederate general who was described as "always emotional ... so high strung before battle that he had an increasing tendency to become unwell when the fighting was about to commence" because it perfectly encapsulates who they are. Plus, he had gonorrhea.

I'll grant you that one Dylan cover was pretty good. My singer-songwriter cousin, who's also not a Mumford/Indie-folk fan, liked it so much that he covered that cover at a house concert shortly after it was released.
  18. But seriously, it's a pretty special house among even it's area, at the top end for that neighborhood. Looking around there are houses in that area that aren't half that price and few that exceed it.
  19. Thought this was a really interesting note on Dia Bell, from earlier this month.
  20. Maybe they're huge Bruce Lee fans. That's the ticket.
  21. We aren't Britain and in their case, the war hadn't started yet. Imagine it's mid 1941 and instead of FDR, we have a malevolent Marx Brother as president. I don't see any Churchill waiting in the wings here.
  22. And his “disappearance” was on point as well.
  23. Are you sure it's not a bit?
  24. I honestly appreciate CTJ playing the part of the heel. It has been a fun dynamic on the board. And while I understand it's largely a joke, I am really going to enjoy everyone crowing at him whenever Livingstone does anything of note.
  25. FYI, I like the 12-0 thought. My biggest reservation is the difficulty getting up every week and a slip will occur somewhere along the line. I do think PFF is reasonably reliable. I’ve spent time trying to understand their approach and believe that to be reasonable. Their NFL work seems to be their bread and butter with a smaller pool of games so it’s likely better but would lean towards their CFB work as improving. Their processes are very similar between the NFL and college. It’s certainly not perfect but comparisons by position or stats should be pretty solid. Within that, you cannot remove all the subjectivity.
