  2. I think you’re confusing that with frankincense and myrrh
  3. I floated out the following and I'll put it here for thought. I've previously found spaces in restaurants/bars for groups as part of a "tailgate" plan. Typically, less sports bar more local bar/restaurants tend to be more amenable to non-home team fans and affordable. In short, find a place we can all meet in the 11-2 range, eat some lunch, watch early games and have libations prior to heading to a actual tailgate closer to the stadium or wherever. I'm not at all tied to the idea, but have reached out to get an idea of price for space and potentially food. I'll report back cost here and gage interest from folks traveling in the thread.
  4. Sam and Beverley's kin?
  5. The test for TT’s approach is already being taken- after paying a premium to sign new players (NFL free agency has shown that key additions can make a huge difference), are they also taking care of current players, too? To keep the locker together? The2022 Ags didn’t. Veterans were getting fractions of what the new blue chip freshmen were getting. They (justifiably) felt taken advantage of. Get into a tight game with App State, an assistant entreats the starters and key backups to dig deeper, and they think, “Why don’t you ask the freshman over there to win the game? He’s the one getting all the money”. This season will show how TT handled it.
  6. what the hell is up with having refs give a touchdown signal in a stupid drill like that? Do we do that? fuck that seems so aggy, like counting the spring game as a win.
  7. GOP voters know that statewide voting is a fuckin lock in Tx. If they cared about quality of candidate they wouldn’t have allowed Abbott to steam roll the voucher challengers in house primaries.

    PGA Tour 2025

This year’s format is much better than giving Scottie an average of 6 shots on the field. What’s the point. I think my real problem is the venues for this generally suck. Nobody wants to play in Memphis in August, but they have to appease the sponsor, and then East Lake is boring as fuck. Now only the BMW goes to some fun places - tourney in Denver area was awesome last year, for example. But you have big markets (NYC, Boston, Chicago, west coast) totally ignored most years in a great time of year to play golf in those areas.
  9. 9 figures worth of federal funding for i35 cap and stitch through downtown just went buh bye. While it certainly hits blue Austin it impacts the entire state.
  10. Fair, no offense take nor ill will perceived. One of us was wrong.
  11. The adults are back, etc…
  12. Hey! The green chile thread…how us old, fat asses mark the time these days! My buddy in Albuquerque told me that he had a new favorite green chile cheeseburger in the state, his old favorite being at the Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid, I knew I had to take him seriously. He said it’s at a restaurant in downtown Capitan, NM called Oso Grill. I’m never down that way anymore, so I’m counting on one of you dudes to check it out and give a report: Fried green chile strips as app: CFS looks bad ass too: Right across the street from the Smokey the Bear park (my kids used to love that place).
  13. Might get him on the podium at a Surly tailgate.
  14. I think it was Lakeview - about two blocks from The Diversey Station. Not that there is anything wrong with Boystown. (Chicago Boystown is very different from the Boystown in Acuna, circa 1987.) There was one particular co-ed in a yellow bikini that I hope visits me in my dreams. I might die in my sleep. None of my friends other than me was interested in jumping in that water. I eventually got out and was kind of bummed that they wanted to move down to the pub, but I think we were creeping out the young ladies. Me last weekend:
  15. Fuck Jerry and Micah and their contrived drama, how is Jaydon?
  16. Stop being so sensitive. You’re acting like there’s some comparison to made between Austin and Lubbock. I guess you really don’t want to be told about Texas Tech on a thread about Texas Tech. Go figure.
  17. Out side of But I'm a Cheerleader (haven't seen) I like everything on you list too for 1999. Mystery Men, Stuart Little, Ghost Dog: Way of the Samuri, The Minute Man, Big Daddy, Any Given Sunday, Analyze This, Ratcatcher, Romance (brutal), and Eyes Wide Shut (arguably good/bad but interesting either way) Yeah 1999 is damn strong. I like Bicentennial Man, maybe more than I should but I absolutely love Robin Williams in more serious roles like Insomnia, The Night Listener, Awakenings, Being Human, Good Will Hunting and my personal favorite The Fisher King. Then 1994 brings me right back with Legends of the Fall, Clerks, Air Heads, Heavenly Creatures, Clear and Present Danger, Speed, Hoop Dreams (holy shit I forgot about that), Quiz Show, Crumb, The Lion King, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Ed Wood, The Client and Little Women.
  18. I watched part of Warren’s video that auto played on his 24/7 page, and I was expecting seeing a burner-type who simply outran dudes, but he makes some contested catches, ran detailed routes and appears to be a legit football player. Agree with Hornius he’d benefit greatly from better QB play. Not much production yet, but you see the moldable clay.
  19. arighetti / garcia combo starts ....
  20. I bought the book a few years ago and have incorporated many of the KOT exercises into my routines. At one point a couple of years ago I was pretty excited about the mobility progress I was making, but honestly in retrospect I think a lot of it was just weight coming off and being in a level of shape that I hadn't been in 20+ years. I still do a lot of the exercises regularly but it is definitely not some kind of miracle routine/cure. Anatomy is anatomy and there are just some things my knees can't handle, with or without the KOT movements. Not because of the program, but just because of anatomy and general wear and tear my knees have gotten worse and I can't do a lot of the stuff I could two years ago. I had to have a scope done on the left one a few months ago and to be honest I have more pain in general in the right kneecap than I do in the one that has been cut on (twice). Still trying to get that mobility back, but I'm back to squatting with a box or bench behind me and a full sit before I stand up with the weight. Hopefully as I build more strength I can get back to a full depth squat without the crutch. TL;DR the KOT stuff, imo, is mostly engagement farming but I do believe many of exercises have merit. It's just not a miracle cure. I deleted IG but check out Jeffrey Wolf. He is a guy who I think was involved with Ben and KOT and came to the realization that it was a marketing gimmick. He preaches a lot of science-based movement from what I recall.
  21. I'm bummed that I plan on being out of town next weekend. The Revs host LAFC next week. But they play on the fake stuff, I'm not sure how that affects Son playing.
  22. Anyone got a photo of the buffalo posing over Asher?
