Gerry said yesterday Kreul to Texas is basically a done deal. Calculator. -
Yes consider the source, but Ian Boyd claims that Nagy reports directly to the new AD. I think Nagy outlasting Venables is a very safe bet.

?? Dibeetus? Cancer? Taking the rest of the foot? Arachnoid cyst?

Man, F1 is a really tough watch sometimes. "Not going to be very much passing this week. It's a super narrow street course that the cars are just way too fucking big for." Okay, makes sense. What about a purpose-built, historical race track with elevation changes and lots of high speed corners? "Nope. No passing there either."

Thank god. -
I have a lot of thoughts on all of that. I’ll just say that I see some positives in that approach, but I also see a lot of negatives. I think they’ll fail.

I'm trying to think of something good to say about this team. I really am. But it's tough to do. You really think our staff would throw 45 shutouts? Probably what it would take.

For those keeping track, we had a late season sweep by the A’s in both World Series winning years.

Even in summer, that drive through monarch pass was a little white knuckle. Can’t even imagine the winter But the views along Blue Mesa Reservoir was gorgeous -
It’s Miller’s first season. We don’t know what went on behind the scenes with the schedule. Maybe there were some games we had on the schedule that went away after RT got fired or maybe Miller couldn’t get certain teams to commit to a H/H….or maybe he was trying to get a name team as a home game and they insisted Texas play at their place first. Bottom line is there could be reasons we don’t know why there isn’t a “marquee” name other than UVA on the home schedule. Maybe that question will get asked by a reporter when basketball season starts. We don’t know that this will be a theme with Miller because it’s year 1. There are other behind the scenes things that influence scheduling that nobody on this website knows about unless @closetojumping has insight.

Trot this exact lineup & SP combo out 162 games a year and I think we'd finish 45-117 or thereabouts.

So assuming Americans continue to purchase at the same level despite the new tariff, that adds less than 100 billion towards a 2 trillion projected federal shortfall

Yeah, the stupid and cruel has always been there and always will be. Gaussian distribution out front . . . . It demonstrates the importance of leadership. -

The GF's uncle passed away a few years ago. He was a New Yorker and a country-club guy. We were at lunch and the GF asked him if he ever had dealings with Trump. He says he's only been around him on the golf course, and he's widely-known to be a cheating POS. Said a buddy of his played a round with him. They watch Trump hit it into the woods. Everybody is looking for his ball. The buddy spots a ball with the Trump logo, and as he's bending down to pick it up, Dotard's in the fairway yelling "FOUND IT".

So if I put a couple of those bullets together, he is saying that the nfl model is to have a board where you are constantly making contact with the players you are recruiting?

We did the Concord museum today which was cool, but a little boring. But then drove over to the North Bridge where the "shot heard round the world" was fired, and that was cool. Very cool. First aggression of the colonies against their British occupation. And here we are today. Not sure they would be all that stoked on where we are today, but it was the right call then (/no CR but a little CR)

Well, politicians everywhere lie their asses off to a greater or lesser degree. You'd never get a representative government to criminalize lies by politicians, ie by themselves. Every country in the world shares this foundational weakness. There are other weaknesses relating to politician behavior and regulation that are a much bigger deal. The greater "foundational weakness" is an electorate that accepts lies great and small without ever holding that particular politician to account for them.
