What is your biggest business regret?
Bozo_Casanova replied to Vegas64's topic in Business and Markets
I remember we talked about this around 2012 when I was flying my SaaS startup into the side of Bootstrap Mountain. When you described it I said something about how much more fun your company was than Ming and said something to the effect that it was destroying your life. -
Y'all would be fortunate to get him if Campbell takes another job.

I dunno what, if any, influence bitching about Strong or Herman had, but the ultimate outcome was getting rid of them both. I'm okay with that reality.

It's a pizza & pasta joint in Round Rock/Pflugerville or some shit. Derk had a funny thread on Shag involving that & porn star Ivy Snow.

Texas Football 2025 - Playing With Our Food
Hookem2147 replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I know a guy who interned at PFF a while back, and maybe the process has changed since he was there, but he said there is a lot left up to individual interpretation when they are grading stuff and you aren't getting the same person grading your game each week, so you are getting a lot of individual opinions. They use a lot of fancy jargon and say a lot of cool stuff in that article you linked explaining how they do stuff, but I am highly skeptical they are reviewing and grading games multiple times based on All-22 film (as they claim), considering how quickly they push out grades. I also still don't really understand the process of converting their plus/minus grades onto a 0-100 scale, where 60 is apparently an average grade and 80 is considered outstanding. It's a useful data point that usually backs up what we see with our eyes, but it ain't gospel. It's wild how many different stats, rankings and metrics you see thrown around nowadays. You can pretty much find something to fit any narrative you want. You think Texas special teams sucks? SP+ has Texas at 135th nationally. You think special teams have been okay? FEI has Texas at 20th. -
What's it like to be so fucking stupid that you think the Lions are just going to walk the dog and go 15-2 again? That the Packers winning in week 1 and Parsons having...checks notes... 1 sack and 3 pressures in week 1 means he'll take them all the way to the promised land??? We've seen this shit before.

I know you said you won't go through box scores, so you'll just have to trust me then that we have not been good against teams in the top 50 of rushing defense for the Sark/Flood tenure

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant about a mess tonally. At first, it was serious but buoyant, but after it started to got dark (and kept getting darker), it seemingly couldn't recalibrate properly. It was like Snatch, just the dials weren't properly set.

Just ventured over to texags to see their thoughts on this. Not surprised by a majority of the responses 😅 The aggies subreddit is the exact opposite of texags.....

If Delta starts an AUS to SJC Nerd Bird route, I'll switch 100% of my travel to them. I've had really good experiences the couple times I've flown on them recently to Seattle. Currently I do SWA for the SJC trips and United partners to and through Europe, but that's mainly because of my legacy United status and the fact there are a lot of route options with no more than 1 stop to get to/from most cities in Europe (FRA direct, or connect through EWR, IAH, ORD, IAD, or even DEN if I'm desperate enough). But if there is SJC flight, that would be Bay Area, Seattle, and easy flights to Europe.
