  1. Past hour
  2. I tried racking my brain for a comedian who was "cancelled" for being anti-vax or anti-mask. Then I kicked myself for wasting thought on something that Adam Corolla said.
  3. In Trump's America you can gleefully vote for a lying rapist instead of a decent person, and you can see Charlie Kirk as a saint because those grimy spots are permanent on the back of this leopard. It's who the US is. There is no, if they only understood. They do. They vote it. They do so in certainty of their righteous hate and embrace of ignorance while lying to themselves the whole way. If you can be persuaded that transexuals are a violent terrorist movement, you can't be persuaded that your whole sense of reality is a lie. I harp. I'll stop or try to. It's hard not to obsess about the train on the middle of a collapsing bridge.
  4. doggles are always in style
  5. Did @Nicole44 provide that info?
  6. Assuming the Utah DA is pretty competent and not heavily influenced by the regime, s/he wouldn't want to include this in an indictment if it was less than true or accurate, at least substantially. On the other hand, it would seem that the only people that could challenge it would be Robinson and "Lance," and maybe some other participants, who are mostly aligned with Robinson. Robinson isn't going to challenge it in public until he brings a motion to dismiss the indictment, as a general way to discredit it.
  7. Y'all ain't wrong. Those are the two options: (1) broad-spectrum political violence causes those who once liked it to lose their taste for it, or (2) it galvanizes them in amping up the violence and seeking the extermination of their enemies. That's the question raised by the Republican quoted at the end of that article. Some of them get it. The regime has unquestionably opted for option 2. I acknowledge that, no argument, I always thought they would. The question is whether their supporters (or a chunk of them) instead choose option 1. That remains to be seen. If all they asked in their heads was "if we're shooting them, is that a problem?", methinks their answer was often "nope, no problem." But now, maybe they're asking the question "if we're shooting each other, is that a problem?" then maybe some of them are pausing to consider. "Extermination of your enemies" sounds fun, because you get to do the exterminating, and your enemies get to do the dying. I mean, it at least sounds fun to simple people, driven by their rage/anger etc. "Civil war" ultimately sounds less fun, especially when you get the slightest taste of it, because you realize in that game, EVERYONE joins in on the dying.
  8. How many days have been the last hottest day of the year now?
  9. Yep, the party of small government.
  10. I used that term all the time when I was in the army. As in, “it’s very important that we are all in matching outfits for this required fun run. That’s why we need to change our outfits 4 different times at 5am, so that we are all color coordinated while we run in the dark.”
  11. She's not wrong until she is, in her final conclusion. Yep, the arab states have used Palestinians as pawns for decades. And yes, using violence provoked against them as a PR tool is indeed part of their plan. If you're looking for someone around here to put a white hat on the arab states and palestinian leadership, keep looking. But that doesn't change the fact that Israel has done more than taken the bait: they've indulged in an orgy of murder and ethnic cleansing (in their own words, that's what they want and what they are doing). You may have pissed me off and done horrible things to me. And I have every right to defend myself against that. But if I murder your children, drive you from your home, and salt the earth....yeah, now I'm just being fucking evil. Violent response can be just. It can also cross the line and become evil. Just because something started off as just doesn't mean that it didn't later become evil.
  12. I’m terrified of the As. Will the Big Amish have a 5 HR game?
  13. On disc 2 of that Lakeland show there are unlisted bonus tracks from 10/11/73. There’s a killer Dancin’ followed by Dire Wolf. The Dire Wolf is fine. Kudos for filling up space on the disc. But the Dancin’ is huge. It crushes the one from 5/19/77, the first night of the release. (Which is also fine, of course.)
  14. Eh.. I would say no. OU is still trying like hell to be great but playing with a short stack. I think UCLA has kind of given up and is just there for the paycheck.
  15. Ho. Lee. Shit.
  16. I see another possible, and in my mind more likely, direction. They are seeing things not going well and then you have a murder of a right wing podcaster that reflects many of their beliefs, after which they are told by dear leader that all the violence and bad things in their life is from the left. This, in turn, makes these people think that the left must be extinguished as the only solution to this violence.
  17. Mmmm...Astros have As and Angels. No excuse
  18. But that exchange makes him look worse for the admin's purposes than if he dropped a bunch of online speak. Shit like his grandpas rifle only endears him to MAGAts.
  19. Yeah, but only 8 decades. His family connections don't even reach back to their only natty.
  20. Ironic that Chuckles would project someone speaking over someone else. That's one of his main devices.
  21. I am definitely not liking the Guilbeau experiment. Problem is, I don't think that Kobe Black represents a huge upgrade in the speed department on the outside. Littleton to me seems like a perfect fit in the slot. He is rangy and great at coming up and tackling in run support and on underneath routes.
  22. Although.... we have a President saying he doesn't care about political violence as long as it doesn't come from the left, and that if he doesn't like your tv show he'll take it off the air. 100% of people should be horrified, as opposed to "some republicans may be souring on the future of the country...." But, baby steps I guess.
  23. I think they're gonna work out a schedule where she can do this. They did it for Michael Johnson in the 2/4 double. I miss her running against Femke. Those are my two favorite female runners. It's a shame that they don't meet up more often.
