  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, making fun of Mensa and Strong is wrong. Both were idiots.
  3. Yes, they said there was a card from Dershowitz and another name I forget. The guy who put the book together is....something.
  4. Uh, yeah. This is why we need to crowd source. Also- an interesting point- any coaching regime change is going to be where you probably see the most brutal action in the portal. It's amazing the "talent" drain they've had at QB the last 5 years.
  5. As I read it, the birthday card was part of an entire album of cards and birthday wishes. Did I catch that correctly? Let's see the whole album. And who is the custodian of said book at this time?
  6. That's how I was surprised with a new leased S-Class in my BearSchlong 1.0 simulation.
  7. So I guess her name is Trashcan?
  8. the man can act, but seems too old for the role
  9. OU lost a Heisman winner (among a lot of other guys they wanted to keep) when Riley bolted West.
  10. This is so fucking wonderful.
  11. I think it was PJ O’Rourke who told a story about how when the Saudis were first swimming in oil money they would trade in their Benzes when the ashtrays started overflowing.
  12. You’re right, I see McShay has him at #30 to the Buffalo Bills. Hell, I hope he becomes DeVonta Smith and wins the freaking Heisman and goes much higher than that, it means we had a great season. But McShay also has six Clemson players in the first round, which would be the greatest number by any team, ever. They have some dudes, but that ain’t happening. He also has Ant Hill at something like 19, our only other first rounder. If we have a season like we expect to have, perhaps someone else elevates… Goosby maybe. Ok, back to recruiting lol.
  13. Nahlin has been raving about him for a year. I don't see it. He seems like he should be a tertiary weapon at best for a good offense. If he is a dude that goes on the first 2 days in this years draft (to be clear I'm betting against) this offense is going to fuck.
  14. Any pass completed less than 40% of the time while the average yards per attempt is less than 20 should never be called as a play ever again. I don't give a fuck if John Gruden and Colt McCoy are from prior generations and really get off on it still.
  15. OU lost Nic Anderson. I'm sure they would have wanted to keep him. He went to LSU. A&M surely didn't want Evan Stewart to leave. LT Overton started most games for Alabama. I'm sure there are more from that class alone.
  16. The personal insults start when the barking seals exit the CR and shit on everything they touch. They see only one thing. Your remarkably stupid supposition that one does not care about a subject just because one does not participate in a Surly thread about it received well earned scorn. The fact that you think that was a real gotcha is sad.
  17. The man knows his audience. He's a master of propaganda, I have to give it to him. The way he just pompously asserts that Texas fans would want to have a bunch of the guys on the ATM roster wearing burnt orange is a perfect move for an aggie audience. The problem for him and the aggies this year is that he likely actually believes that. Now, who would you actually trade for versus the current UT two-deep on a position by position basis? QB - Lee over any QB at Texas right now? No. RB - Moss over Baxter or Wisner? No. Owens over anyone in the top 6? No. I don't need to see the younger guys play yet to know that they're better than a slow guy who can't break arm tackles. Owens has clips on Twitter right now where you can see The Elk's training regimen has taken hold. He's shirtless and is showing off a layer of fat. Is that going to help him move his career YPC to something north of 4.0? Doubt it. WR - Concepcion, Craver, or some spare named Ashton Bethel-Roman? Terry "The Athlete" Bussey? Who on the Texas WR 2 deep do you want to bench for any of those guys? Concepcion's numbers were terrible last year and the guy wasn't injured. TE - Swedish guy, Some dude who was mediocre at Nebraska, Niblack? GTFO. OT - Zuhn, Fatheree, Crownover? I'd take Zuhn over whoever is backing Goosby. The other two guys are replacement value at best. Give me Goosby, Baker, Brooks, Cojoe or Chatman over those 2. OG - Kansas Hyphen Shittalking Guy, Bisontits? - I'll keep Campbell, Robertson, and Omeozulu over Bisontits. KU guy starting opposite of Campbell would work. C - Nabou off of an injury? Hutson has better tape as a starter at OG. Nope. DT - Regis, Hicks, some guy named "Onyedim" or Daelyn Evans? Give me all of the Texas 3 deep over each of them save Regis. I don't know if Regis starts for Texas, but he's in the rotation. Hicks has been an utter disappointment so far. DE/Edge - Cashius Howell, TJ Searcy, Dayon Hayes? Howell is objectively a playmaker. The other two transfers are also-ran bums. ATM celebrated getting Searcy and everyone else looked around like "did anyone else want that guy? I didn't want that guy. (shrugs)". The problem with taking Howell is you're then benching Simmons, Burke, Vasek, Moore, Spence, or Hill to give him snaps. You'd take him anyway. The other guys wouldn't make the UT roster. LB - Scooby Wiliams, Taurean York? Benching Hill, Lefau, Smith, Spence, or Moore for those guys? No. The amount of touting going on for York within the media and the aggie fanbase is fascinating. It's similar to Stutsman the last few years at OU. Is no one watching the games or film? If you want tackles made 9 yards down the field on a regular basis, York is your undersized, slow LB from your fantasies. Nope. NB - Chappell or the JAGs behind him? Over McDonald, Guilbeau or Mack? No. CB - Ricks and Lee? Lee is good. Ricks blows. Lee as the 2nd starting CB at Texas this year would work. Safety - Bryce Anderson and Dalton Brooks? Anderson has regressed at ATM. He's a shell of his freshman self. Brooks is slow and often out of position but he'll hit you. Those guys over Taaffe, Williams, or the 4 and 5 star backups? Nope. PK/P - Bond and White are good. The guys Texas has brought in look comparable. So Liucci thinks Texas would take a recovering Moss over Wisner or a recovering Baxter. Not me. Zuhn, KU Hyphen, Regis, Howell, and Lee. 5 guys I'd insert into the Texas 44 man 2 deep. Just an outstanding roster over there at ATM.
  18. Maybe don't do that next time.
  19. I'm going to guess 204.
  20. Yeah, I don't know the first thing about any of that stuff. I just brought up the only recent example I know of.
  21. Was talking about this with a buddy the other day, and I kind of feel like Texas is the only school that has not had a single loss to the transfer portal of a guy that they were seriously intent on keeping or had plans for in the context of their team the next year. I don't care that Xavier Alford went on to be an all conference player somewhere else. Conversely, if Arch transferred and was a total and complete bust I don't care about that either. Alford doesn't count and we didn't work really hard to keep him. Kudos to becoming a better player with more opportunity somewhere else. Arch would absolutely count b/c we would obviously want to keep him- it doesn't matter if he went somewhere else and busted. Make sense? Texas- can't think of a single player we lost that we had plans for an wanted to keep Alabama- Downs, Bond, who else Georgia- AD Mitchell, Carson Beck (I think- stockton seems like he sucks I don't think they wanted him over Beck but- maybe???) Ohio State- Hero Kanu (he was absolutely planned for in their two deep going into this year- right)- I know they were pissed when they lost him. Quinn Ewers? Did tOSU want to keep him at the time? Try hard? aggy- too many to list, probably, but then again most of them sucked. Walter Nolen? Who else have the lost that's good. Oklahoma- Dillon Gabriel? I guess maybe he doesn't count as they didn't try to retain him b/c ----> Jackson Arnold? I guess he doesn't count either as they didn't try to retain him (probably). Ooof their development of players has sucked- you hate to see it. Who you got as OU's biggest transfer loss they wanted to keep? LSU- Michigan Domers USC-w Oregon Cal- Endies? Pick any school you like. If this trend continues of us never losing anyone we try to retain (it can't continue forever- right) and picking up guys from other schools that represent the best of their exPorts I like where our roster management will be, basically, forever. I don't think we've lost any like I said. Maybe I'm forgetting someone. I know we had a couple close calls. Also- I wonder how many guys we ended up getting that were other schools major losses?
