I’m sure the odds are stacked in Bubba’s favor. After all his Walmart AR is covered with accessories worth more than the rifle, he’s stockpiled an arsenal of Chinese ammo and ‘knows the terrain’. Those tabbed SF guys have only put ten thousand rounds through their match grade weapons, practically live outside as a career and are specialized in leading an unfamiliar army against you.

I saw several movies at HMA. If you think the seats were uncomfortable for a 2-hour movie, just imagine sitting there for a 3-hour final! Still a cool experience though. -
It's an evolutionary selection event. If Fido doesn't know better, he'll remove himself from the gene pool.

Somewhat rhetorical. But Russia is historically a wheat exporter. This year they're gonna hafta decide between exporting a lot of wheat for foreign $$$, or keeping domestic food (bread) prices low. History suggests there's a >0% chance they'll export more than they "should" and let their people suffer. And fortunately global wheat prices are not bonkers. Good production elsewhere. So maybe we'll get the best of both worlds. Acceptable food prices elsewhere, and Fuck Russia.

The question about Arbuckle is a good one that we don’t really discuss or see discussed. The guy is 29 and has coached one year at WKU and 2 years at Wazzou. How many sophisticated and talented defenses has he had to call plays against? How many experienced DCs with P4 backgrounds has he faced? The guy at Michigan is known for a long career of exotic blitz design. PK is no spring chicken. Durkin killed a guy and all, but he’s not lost as a DC at Auburn. Wommack has been a DC for 8 years, 3 of which were P4 and an HC for 3 seasons. Baker at LSU isn’t one of the highest paid assistants in the country because he sucks. So and so forth. In every one of those situations, one guy will be going through the experience for a first time. -

Agree. But we eat our own. We need to instead support (former) Democrats who for one reason or another disband. And when I say support I don’t mean vote or fund, but acknowledge a shift change and ideology difference and recognize that a defection from the big tent is actually a good thing. It’s good for Democrats who don’t need distraction and internal strife, it’s good for voters to have more options, and it’s good for democracy. When Andrew Yang tried to spin off one, it gets met with the worst kind of derision and mockery and personal attacks to the man. The same man whom many were at least somewhat agreeable to when he was on the (D) team. When Musk talks about creating a third party…. Okay, I’ll concede that point. You can’t decouple the disaster that is Elon Musk from his advocacy of a 3rd party and his scorn for pushing for a 3rd party was mostly warranted.

Also lol'ing at this weirdo projecting his weird sex fantasies on me for the dozenth time in this thread. Not to mention the subtle racist dig at me in the same vein as what Rex was doing before he self immolated. Definitely not completely unhinged.

Yes, it sounds like a great and noble idea (and, of course, in some ways it was, at least in the beginning) until you consider the fact that it's not just their homeland and that the act of creating Israel began with the mass killings and expulsion of people who also consider it their homeland, and certainly had nothing to do with the Holocaust or the pogroms that largely took place in the Western world. These people have never been allowed to return, and those who remain have lived under brutal apartheid ever since. Today, in reality and in practice, Zionism is nothing more than an ethno-religious supremacist, exterminationist ideology. You don't have to take my word for it, you can find plenty of statements from Israeli leaders that outright confirm this and what they want to do. They have taken a lesson from what the Nazis did to European Jews and are applying it in real time.

Fascinating! I feel better now that I know people have been making the same mistake for at least 166 years, to the point where my usage has become its own accepted version of the idiom. And thank you for that site, I’m bookmarking it because I love that kind of thing. Definitely worth a rewatch. I just love that movie. Really scary at parts and laugh out loud funny in others. Best werewolf movie ever. The Dobie Theater talk really takes me back. I lived in Dobie my freshman year and saw tons of movies there. Heavy Metal is one that stands out. -

Here’s more fanciful nonsense where they analyze 5 of their questions going into the fall camp, apparently feeling good about each expected solution. -
Shipley’s is okay from what I remember, the one thing it had going for it over the Cambodia shops was consistency. You knew what you were getting. That said, I can’t understand being an adult over the age of 40 and eating donuts, even semi-regularly. I feel actual pangs of shame and regret feeding the sugar to tots and grandkids, knowing it’s pure junk and unhealthy. I know I know, I’m no fun at parties….
