  2. I'm pretty sure the current administration rolled back the Buttigieg era consumer protections, so I'm not sure what they'd be forced to do, if anything.
  3. I ran some probabilities for the final stretch through the ESPN predictor. I don’t love FPI but it’s the easiest place to see the different probabilities per game. I didn’t calculate all permutations. Just the more likely, which as you can see— “more likely” is a relative term. Most likely UT scenario: 1L (UGA), 28% UT undefeated or 1L (A&M) are at 20 and 21% UT 2L (UGA, A&M): 21% Most likely for Ole Miss is undefeated, 55% Most likely for Alabama is undefeated, 46% Most likely for UGA is undefeated, 38 % UGA 1L (UT), 26% UGA 1L (MSU), 10% Georgia 2L (UT, MSU) 7% A&M undefeated, 1L, or 2L are all between 20-21%
  4. What a world that Cal decides to fire its coach in the middle of the season with a 5-4 record. I mean, c'mon, it's Cal.
  5. Im sitting at my desk cracking up at RFK Jr’s reaction to a dude fainting.
  6. You should see my personal parliament of hopes and dreams
  7. Good basic summary. I would also add that Trump has repeatedly unilaterally overwritten Congressional passed laws (tariffs, selectively defunding departments he doesn't like, etc) and the pubs in congress have done absolutely nothing to oppose it to the point that even if they "make a deal" there is ample reason to believe it will just be overwritten the second the government reopens. Basically there is absolutely no reason for the dems to in any way help pass anything at this point. This is what happens when you elect not serious performative people to manage serious things. chaos.
  8. You can’t win an argument with someone who is too stupid to know when they’ve lost
  9. we've got flights to PR the week of Thanksgiving... i'm not expecting a refund from United, but if this thing drags on and flights are legit canceled, won't they at least have to give a credit?
  10. Scott’s body needs to be held enstate in the first base dugout so he can forever haunt it like he did from the seats above.
  11. Not high on many peeps radar but Justin Wilcox is all but done at Cal. Negotiated buyout discussions underway behind the scenes. Might be announced as soon as after the Louisville game this weekend. Definitely no later than after the last game against SMU. The money at Cal wants Tosh Lupoi and supposedly there is reciprocal interest. We'll see.
  12. What is Apollo group tv?
  13. when it comes to suicide and mental illness I've always felt like marty bach in michael clayton explains it about as well as anyone I've ever seen.

  15. They are so sure this is a massive bubble they want to secure their bailout beforehand. Smart. I hate them all so much.
  16. That photo of Trump standing there should win a Pulitzer.
  17. Benches
  18. And it only used enough power to run Las Vegas for 2 hrs and enough water to provide clean drinking water to a small African nation for a month to do it!
  19. I mean, yes, but this is a case of a blind squirrel finding a nut now and then, not futureman being right in general. 😁
  20. so many people still have zero understanding of mental illness. after stuff like this happens people love to post stuff like, “check in on your loved ones” and “reach out to someone if you need help”, but neither of those things are realistic options. you reaching out to a mentally ill person will affect whether or not they harm themselves 0.0%. and from the other side, nobody who is sick enough to want to kill themselves is going to reach out to anyone for help, because when you’re in that state of mind, talking to someone else sounds about as appealing as cutting off your own dick. it’s never going to happen. there’s nothing that anyone can do to stop someone from killing themselves barring you actually being physically present and taking the gun from them, or talking them off the bridge. until the powers that be in this country actually give any fucks about helping out the mentally ill, this is what we’ll be left with: extremely vulnerable sick people from all walks of life, living among the absolutely clueless masses. there is nothing out there in the way of real help and understanding for mentally ill people, and that’s the real tragedy- marshawn kneelands will continue to live on the very edge of life and death, sanity and insanity, and very few people will actually know or care.
  21. A true hero
  22. Typically, when you go full Derka I tend to check out of the thread involved. In this instance, I fully support it. Between the comment you quoted and Hornsby’s most recent intelligent ramblings it is very clear that even in 2025 our society still has so much to learn about mental health.
