  1. Past hour
  2. Carl Reese, IIRC.
  3. Wait a minute...you think a 20 year old entered the portal because he knew the d coordinator was leaving and just didn't tell anyone?
  4. Honestly--and I mean no disrespect by this--but the fact that you've worked your whole career remotely answers so many questions about you and your posts.
  5. True. But if it’s before me, I call it a win.
  6. go watch highlights of Brian Orakpo in 2008 and report back.
  7. May be the other way around. Maybe he knew PK was headed out the door, putting him on a level playing field with Smith and Barnes with regard to learning a new system. Will be interesting to see if this changes our defensive portal strategy. Could be a name to watch if Texas needs a backup option for Baugh/Lacey: Was a stud behind Jonah Coleman at UW and shredded Oregon. 220 pound back with vision. Husky fans are really bummed, I think he'd have been a 1,000 yard guy next year.
  8. awesome (pardon the rep, felt appropriate)
  9. It's pretty straightforward to monetize some aspects of benefits of WAH vs. in office setting, but some the other aspects you outlined are certainly harder to put to value to. And the value assessment will vary based on a significant number of very individual and/or personal factors.
  10. Sark out here firing the wrong coordinator. . im torn on this, I hope it workouts for us. That grass ain’t always greener on the other other side
  11. aggy wins first set in a close one 29-27
  12. Aggies take set 1
  13. If Tom Brady hasn't taken a snap for two years and Tony Romo has led his unit to to four straight top 13 defensive FEI seasons, probably not unless Romo makes me think he's gonna walk and I need to be making calls to potential replacements. I'm not saying it was a bad move - I think it's the best hire Sark could have made. I just think folks should be real about where it's coming from and the challenges associated with it. Muschamp was an analyst. Smart and Schumann know a thing or two about defense. This isn't gonna have a material impact on Georgia's defense.
  14. 11.5!
  15. that was a hit
  16. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and the ESPN App. Line is ARST -1.5
  17. How is this DC move going to impact Simmons? Good or bad?
  18. Yea Babcock a beast
  19. While the comparison of the scenarios has to be a adjusted for potential variables (if I'm avoiding 3 hours a day of commute time, that is a real difference-maker, for example), the above has a lot of truth. As do the points about mentoring and the like. And yes, I also had first-hand experience with people for whom "WFH" meant "do the absolute minimum, and actually, I'm gonna be outside gardening, walking my dog, etc., during working hours." All of that said, the real driver is "what kind of job is it?" There are absolutely a shitload of good white collar jobs that can be done entirely or almost entirely WFH. There are a lot of PROFESSIONS that benefit greatly from being in-office/in person. I had plenty of depositions, hearings, mediations, and even trials by zoom during the COVID times. I can assure you, ALL of those things work much better in person. And yeah, having associates here, in the office, where they are part of spontaneous conversations, work sessions, task assignments, etc., develops them so much better. So, it depends on the job.
  20. My denist is aggy. Good dude. His wife (no pics), also aggy, is our vet. Anyway, on my first visit, he said he didn't usually work on Longhorn teeth. I told him it was more difficult because . . . more teeth. Today, I didn't mention beating them like a drum. I just feigned interest in their playoff prospects. Told him Miami was a lock and tOSU was totally beatable if things tipped their way. They're totally losing to Miami.
