Watching Baseball Hall of Fame induction 2025…..pretty cool.

His motorcycle thing is really interesting. He was talking about it on Stern several years ago. IIRC, he's got a shop he keeps on Long Island, and they go from there on a Sunday ride, every week during the warmer months. Everybody is welcome, unless you've got straight pipes, because he doesn't want noise complaints. Get up Sunday morning, head to Billy's shop, and go for a group ride. Pretty fucking cool, BTW, his daughter, Alexa; she seems lovely, but holy hell she got Dad's looks, not Mom's. That must be hard on her. Mom's one of the great beauties of all time.

You can buy an external antenna on Amazon for the spypoint. It's a standard fitting, so there are a ton of options. Just have to have a tree to put it in or set a 4x4 in the ground if there aren't any trees to mount the antenna in.

But do we have anyone on staff who spent 7 years working for the Senior Bowl? Advantage gooner.
-
And if there were a draft, that approach might make a little more sense. I will be shocked if this little experiment doesn’t set them back at least a decade.
-
No it's not. I asked a floor person and they shrugged their shoulders

Markets still falling like whoa
Captainant replied to Llano Estacado's topic in Business and Markets
The trade agreement is a reciprocal 15% tariff, which is considerably higher than was in place prior to the current tariff regime. Not sure why a significantly and artificially higher COGS is going to trigger a rise, aside from LGU economics -
I love this movie. I watched it again tonight after your post reminded me of it. And it’s free on the Roku Channel app. Just have to download the free app.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Scholz replied to texifornia's topic in 🤫$9.95🤫
He’s actually the perfect example of aggy’s terrible player development. He regressed there both in football as well as track. He’s blossomed in both at KU. He’s pre-season All Big XII and likely to be a day 3 draftee next spring as a top center. He also just competed in the nationals in Eugene in shot put. -
My first backpacking trip ever was in Sequoia NP. Yeah, the transition from the valley to the mountains is quick and unexpected.
-
It sounds like they’ve separated recruiting and coaching to the extent possible. Like, here’s your team , coach them.
-
Ken’s Tacos ftw.
-
And does he think we don’t have an army of analysts who are also prioritizing our rankings rather than the recruiting services? Only difference is that our head coach actually gets to participate in (have control over) talent acquisition.

Bet Jack will be off at this rate.

That's a completely different goalpost, and makes a much better argument.

They won't do it, mainly because week 1 is defending national champs so they will give them the nod. Texas will likely be 2-3 on most. -

Personnel. We didn't really have maulers up front like they had at Bama. Conner, and Majors were more effective at mirroring defenders than they were at driving DL backwards. Hutson tries to play more physically, even if he isn't always effective at it. Neto is super physical, but he doesn't always know who to block and at what angle. Campbell hopefully goes nuts this year. Either way, more physical guards and center this year. We'll see if it translates. -
People underestimated pretty much everything sans kickoff returns about Golden last year. And to the Whittington work ethic and leadership, OTF has said that Moore is the first one at practice and the last to leave. All I'm saying is, let's see. Jackson seems pretty good at WR development.

Wow, that’s a fun list to look at. I bet it’s the same for 90+% of every year as well where some random vs the favorites comes out and wins. -
They're not doing anything groundbreaking wrt recruiting. Literally every program that can't recruit at a high level tries to make up for it with evaluations. It's been that way forever. The only difference is the guy they put in charge has the title of "general manager" rather than "head coach."

I’m with you. I’d at least listen and try to rape the Dodgers, Mets, Phillies, etc. If they want to send a package because Framber is their missing piece then do it. What is our upside if he stays? What’s a successful season for keeping him? Missing playoffs and getting nothing? Or even win one round? These same people that say don’t trade will be bitching that we have no pitching and no farm system next year. If you knew 100% Yordan, Paredes, Pena and Meyers were coming back then that’s a whole different conversation. Wishing something and reality are two different things and we have 4 days to decide. Who says we can’t make playoffs without Framber? Still could. We could also trade him, get prospects and sign him back. Tigers just did it last year. Maybe he leaves, misses Julia getting him peanuts, and wants to come back. To dismiss any trade of him is shortsighted and frankly a derelict of duty if you’re Dana. Maybe he stays and we get healthy and we win a few. And maybe we don’t. Which side you want to be on? There probably isn’t a definitive right answer. I’ve given Dana plenty shit but in this case I won’t either way. But he will catch hell either way.

Personally, I don’t expect a repeat of the numbers from the defense. We don’t really need that anyway. Part of that is the under appreciated element of the hammered dogshit personnel that we went up against. It’ll be improved - The Ohio State over Michigan. OU certainly can’t be worse. A&M should be improved. UF won’t run out an Ivy League QB. MSU likely won’t run out a QB for his first start. Georgia will be a bit wait and see. Per Phil Steeles experience chart, we get the top 6 in the SEC, which leaves Arkansas and Georgia outside that 6. The draft results tell you one of two things regarding the offensive talent of our opponents, maybe both - it was weak or not draft eligible. There’s a strong likelihood our opponents are far better equipped to create matchups that better suit them as compared to last year. Better Olines, better QBs and probably better skill guys. The hope would be an uptick in our pass rush covers for the back end when it’s off. And don’t take that to mean I’m saying we won’t be damn good on the back end. -
I legit thought when Reed told Ben “anywhere!” When escaping the Black hole, that’s where they’d end up
