  1. Past hour
  2. You illiterate twat, I didn't walk into shit. For starters, lets get to the illiterate part; this thread is literally about Quinn Ewers. My derailing conversation was about evaluating Chris Simms, objectively, which it's pretty obvious a lot of people can't do even when they say they're evaluating him objectively. You literally said Simms had the career of an "average 3 star." You think cherry picking Major Applewhite, or any 3 star who's gone on to be a STAR QB even, is some kind of gotcha? YOU HAVE TO PICK THE AVERAGE GUY. I gave you a list of 100 players from a single class that were 3 stars, find me the ONE that has a career equal to simms, much less the average of them together. Major Applewhite is completely irrelevant. Hell I'm pretty sure Colt McCoy was a 2 star, if not that he was certainly a 3 star. Josh Allen wasn't rated. Sam Bradford was a 3 star. Pat Mahomes, 3 star. Exceptions PROVE the rule, you doofus.
  3. I think the key to winning will be having more points than Ohio state at the conclusion of the 4th quarter.
  4. To play devil's advocate, he's had a fall camp to refine his game and Day, I'm sure, is a good QB coach pointing that stuff out to him. We also know that the QB is aware he isn't going to get hit in practice or the Spring game. Could read that as both a positive and negative from an interpretive standpoint. But essentially, he will speed his clock up in game and he well knows the caliber of pass rushers he will face. No doubt Day has emphasized getting the ball out quickly for this game and he might not be as motionless in the pocket holding onto the ball like in his spring game where he absolutely would have taken hits or was late getting the throw off. He is capable of manipulating the pocket and extending plays based on his HUDL tape. Question is, how well can he do so against Texas? Also, I wouldn't be suprised if they have especially worked on high pointing the ball with J Smith and whatever else they feel like will maximize connecting with him. Without a doubt they will try not to have a repeat shut-out of him like last time and I'd be amazed if we can do so well as before.
  5. Prey, run, hide, pray seems appropriate, imo.
  6. That, too. A whole lot of that, I'm assuming, considering what I've heard about internalized transphobia from trans friends that didn't grow up evangelical.
  7. Probably should have had a better wish than Texas Tech...
  8. Good stuff there. #1 in SG putting this year. He's also the only US Ryder Cup player who's shot under 69 in his last 10 rounds (Scottie shot under 70 his last 21 rounds).
  9. When I see people put Joe Manchin on blast it always makes me think of this quote, which I think describes him better.
  10. Bill Millers getting it done - Texas Barbecue giant’s $60M headquarters is almost ready Plans for the new plant were first revealed in October 2020 when the restaurant chain filed a report with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The filing outlined the blueprint to a 335,000 square foot, two-story headquarters slated for 5330 State Highway 151, not far from the San Antonio Food Bank. The facility will also include house and servicing equipment and a truck docking space, MySA previously reported. The emergence of the new, multi-level cooking operation, marks a new chapter for the company, signaling an outgrowth of its location at 430 S. Santa Rosa Avenue, its home base since since 1971. In a social media post teasing the new site last summer, Bill Miller Bar-B-Q dropped hints about what folks can expect to see, noting the foundation had been laid, structural beams were in place and fire pits, which will smoke some tasty meats two floors up, were already being built.
  11. F'n A. Well done.
  12. I've got a Tablo. Yes, it can connect with wifi or wired. Think of it as a device that takes an antenna signal and redistributes it on a (wired or wireless) network. You download the Tablo app to your TV/iPad/phone and use it to watch whatever is coming in over your antenna. The pros are that it comes with a nice guide, and has a built-in DVR that works surprisingly well. The con is that navigating the app is slow. I wouldn't say it's buggy per se in my experience, but it's pretty sluggish. As far as signal reception goes, I think it's probably at least as good as plugging your antenna straight into the TV. It has a built in amplifier that you can turn on or off (doesn't seem to make much of a difference for me).
  13. I know it’s fake, but it still makes me angry being reminded this dumb fuck with brain worms is in charge of anything.
  14. Ah shit, I forgot to read the fine print! Will try to earn my keep
  15. Spoiler: this guys picks against Texas. The good news is that he sucks at gambling.
  16. In his post he clearly said in “the CFB playoff”, which is true
  17. Waterfront was a hell of a lot cheesier than Bloodlines IMO. Enjoyed both though.
  18. This is a safe space.
  19. Back shoulder fades and sideways Wingo shit in the RZ this game are terrifying, given what happened against aggie last season
  20. So that's a yes to the glory hole idea?
  21. @SydneyCarton I agree. Enjoyed cigars a couple times a year when younger but damn, the two day mouth/throat taste. Listerine, Bourbon, vodka nothing can kill that shit taste. Plus your clothes need to left outside or your house will smell like shit too. Got a few nice tobacco pipes now and use one about once every 6 months to a year. Nice smell, no nuclear mouth issue. Damn you also mentioned the Heights - loved my bungalow there. It took me longer to get a parking spot in my downtown garage than it did to get there. Worst decision ever was selling it but I was young and moving. Needed cash for next house. Bastard is worth 3x what I sold it for now. Great original places to eat so close too! X-wife, known as Satan, taught at the school in the middle of the Heights. She could walk to work! Great area. Like you, don't see many cigar smokers there. Give it 8 months and you'll have a cool bar instead.
  22. Montgomery, Hinzman, and Tshabola were starters for all CFP games last year (I think). Siereveld started 2 CFP games and 4 regular season games. RT Phillip Daniels is the new guy transfer from Minnesota, with 3 starts last season.
  23. You fucking walked right into this one didn't you. This entire fucking thread is about Applewhite vs Simms. Simms vs a fucking THREE STAR RECRUIT on his own damn team. Who many, many people see as outplayed him and outperformed him during their respective times at the school.
