  2. Position battle breakdown. A little whistling past the graveyard going on with this one.
  3. Surly encourages bad behavior.
  4. There's Something About Mary, Kingpin and the Austin Powers movies in the 90's. Let's be honest here. I loved Adam Sandler on SNL. He was one of my favorites for the group immediately following what was (for me anyways) the greatest SNL group of all time (Hartman, Lovitz, Carvey, Miller, Nealon, Hooks, etc). I think the writing was better and the show had really found its legs. (But, yes, it's hard to argue they were better than Chevy, Murray, Belushi, etc.) Mike Myers came in and then Sandler/Spade and that led into Will Ferrell and so on. Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore were awesome for somebody who was in college at the time like I was. But we're not exactly talking about comedies that transcend comedy. Neither belongs on a list of all-time great comedy movies but they were right place, right time for a big chunk of us who were in Sandler's wheelhouse demographic when they came out. I doubt there aren't many people born outside say 1968-1978 who are remotely familiar with "Like I got no fucking fingers" or "You button-hooked me" or "Tollbooth Willy" or "At A Medium Pace" or any of the other stuff from Sandman's first comedy album. I just don't know if HG or Billy Madison stand the test of time. They're great for that group of us who loved them when we were 20 or so. For me, Happy Gilmore was an enjoyable, somewhat nostalgic two hours. It doesn't mean it was a very good movie.
  5. The anti trans movement has spearheaded bullshit mumbo jumbo medical research studies. Aryan’s portrayal of the bullshit Cass Review was a harbinger. RFK is now full steam shoving bogus science down citizen throats to discredit vaccines. Expect similar anti-science efforts for the most common, and therefore expensive to insurance companies, medical treatments.
  6. The odds of those three meatheads being Austin residents are low. Troglodytes from the surrounding areas tend to crowd out locals at the watering spots on the weekends, and also tend to be the ones committing a lot of the violence and other crimes.

  8. But I thought we were MAHA?!?
  9. Acid rain for all, hooray! Let the coal roll! https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/trumps-epa-repeal-core-greenhouse-gas-rules-major-deregulatory-move-2025-07-29/ WASHINGTON, July 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will rescind the long-standing finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health, as well as tailpipe emission standards for vehicles, removing the legal foundation of greenhouse gas regulations across industries, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced on Tuesday. Republican President Donald Trump's pick Zeldin announced the agency's plan to rescind the "endangerment finding" at an event at a truck factory in Indiana, alongside Energy Secretary Chris Wright, and called it the largest deregulatory action in U.S. history.
  10. I don't want to do it online, I need the sticker by Thursday. Does HEB provide the sticker at the point of sale or is it mailed?
  11. Humm. This is especially odd because normally no one ever gets out of the spa (or not spa).
  12. Jerry Callo

    Austin FC

The nice thing about it is that out of the remaining 12 matches, only Seattle and LAFC are ahead of us in the table and both of those games are at Q2. We are sitting at 7th right now with at least a game in hand against everyone buy LAFC.
  13. we did not have playoff-caliber special teams bert, blocks, bananas in tailpipes, you name it, we tried to lose games any way possible we must restore the program's legacy of clutch kickers it would be nice to have a ray guy for a change and thank you for the clock management shoutout someone has to keep track of the timeouts and when we have a surplus USE ONE saving them for the last 30 seconds or last set of downs often sees them unused
  14. Nice day on the 10 year down .09
  15. just got back. What a fantastic film. Did I laugh? Yeah. Did I hold back a tear or two? Maybe. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? Well done.
  16. Just finished Brendan getting the Chainsaw Treatment from Jaime. Yikes. What a show. Remington Steele is one hell of a pot-bellied psychotic womanizing Irish gangster (i could make a kennedy joke but i won't). Dame Helen kind of dominates every scene, doesn't she? The lawyer is the rat, obviously, but Maeve is so ruthless and bloody minded she might get away with it (no spoilers). There is still some Bane in Tom, waiting for him do don a breathing apparatus. The Eddie/Gina hookup is a little too broad, but working with it. Jan seems like she is going to be unlucky, but she should have watched the Sopranos or Analyze This. The last few episodes should be good. C'mon, 8/29.
  17. Sidenote, does anyone die in this city & not go through Greenwood? There's an old joke about liquor stores, funeral homes, & one other industry that will never fail. Can't remember the third one.
  18. Do this online - it’s easy.
  19. 2002 season. blOU was #1 for a while, then got upset by A&M and Okie Lite to hand us a chance to win the Big 12 South. Of course, we bungled said chance after Kliff Kingsbury tore Bull Reese and our beleaguered defense apart in Lubbock. A&M fans were frothing at the mouth about how great Reggie McNeal was after the A&M game, only for blOU to get revenge next year to the tune of 77-0.
