His first three years at Tech were better than Briles’ first three at Baylor and Briles was a genius .

Listen to the whole album. It’s a good starting point for anyone. Late 60’s Dead rules and has a flavor all its own. It’s foundational. They didn’t have as large of a repertoire as they did in later years and the improvisational aspect was new and constituted more of the show. The songs are great but it’s the departures from the songs that make the Dead the Dead. If you don’t get that then you really don’t get the Dead. It’s an approach. In a bookend I came here to post some tasty improvisational highlights during GD60. Keeping things real. I feel confident that the Grateful Dead ethos will be kept alive long after they’re gone.

Markets still falling like whoa
Captainant replied to Llano Estacado's topic in Business and Markets
God I love picking winners and losers. Fact is, most chips aren't made in the US. Most of the silicon in my PC except the 5070ti was diffused in Malaysia or Korea or China and then assembled in another country and then landed in the US. The new unilateral tax from the emperor means COGS skyrocketing across the supply chain. -

This hits close to home, literally. Winter is no joke, though. -
I caught that but agree they glossed over that part. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything in all these years on what started the fire.

True with Porcelain fused to Metal which isn't used anymore - Not true with Zirconia or Gold. But I would be cautious for other reasons. You can get an implant if your tooth splits in half for $3200 all in. A root canal may cost $1600 and a crown may cost $1400. Invest in a nightguard to protect your teeth from grinding at night and to prevent your jaw from popping (problems with your TMJ). If a tooth breaks because of wear, get an implant and be done with it. Medicaid is a completely off topic discussion but I have a totally different view. Very few general dentists accept Medicaid because reimbursement is terrible, it opens doctors up to government lawsuits, and most importantly, doctors have to jump through hoops to get paid. Medicaid rejects all initial crown claims. All appeals have to be done through certified mail (so a trip to the post office plus costs). Approved claims still come with long payment times and with some that don't get paid for various reasons for example if the patient doesn't come back, if the teeth shift after patient misses multiple appointments, the need for a root canal develops, the patient breaks the tooth after missed appointments... Obviously some fraud definitely occurs but keep in mind that there are people within government searching for ways to not pay bills. And most of the fraud I see from dentists is over-diagnosing but interestingly that is probably the least likely way to get in trouble with the government. Most of the trouble comes from billing issues like coding too many extractions as surgical or billing for work not done. There are government actuaries/statisticians who catch that stuff. And no on the poor people thing. Rich people are a pain in the ass and complain over little bullshit. Middle class and poor complain about money and cause the front desk lots of headaches regarding financing and insurance. Poor miss appointments, fight bills, don't follow patient instructions, and try cheating the system. In summary, no specific income level is immune from being a pain in the ass. Think about going to a restaurant - the rich send their food back and act like arrogant assholes, middle class and poor complain about the bill, the poor don't tip. Who is worse and who is better? It depends on what type of PIA the service provider is better able to handle.

Good on both of them. I like that she no longer wears makeup. I think they’re both pretty cool people enjoying life.
