Wichita's airport is named for Eisenhower so take that one off the list. Maybe Sioux City (airport code SUX). It could be Trump SUX Airport.23 points

Listen to me you low energy, pathetic, Herman jock sniffing, doomer fucks. The thread for you is the corching search thread. This thread is for the legendary big dick energy crew who found the planes, identified the drapes, and believe that Urban Meyer is coming to Texas. Night crew, show em what's up. Oh and you are the most wrong @futureman21 points
-
Urban is coming to Texas. It'll be announced the day after tOSU's season is *completely* finished. He'll be in Austin, standing at attention, bagmen in tow, with that cheeky fucking grin on his face just knowing that he's about to turn college football on its head. And we shall rejoice and drink hard liquor and be merry and a percentage of our population will undoubtedly be taken into custody.21 points

I talked to a buddy today and he continued to hammer home the Kelly, Mullen, or Kubiag premise. Dismissed Urban Meyer when I brought him up. In short, the fix is in. I remain certain that Urban Meyer will be UT's next head coach.20 points

How do all you fuckers not have David Dennison on ignore? He’s the epitome of useless CR troll that is completely out of his depth in any other place on the planet. Reading and responding to his posts is the ultimate LDE move. Put that fucker on ignore, tell Newy25 to go fuck himself by downing a few McRibs and let your schlong hang long.19 points

The only thing "happening here" that is worse than the debacle unfolding at Auburn, where they might actually be on the verge of hiring Kevin Fucking Steele, is you continuing to exhibit your self-loathing. I don't know how you find the time to post in between cutting yourself and sobbing during breaks.19 points

Going to fact check this but I am 99% accurate that this is how events have played out. that timeline looks damn accurate -Ketch spits out Eltifes name (only thing that Twinkie twat has ever spat out before), tries to backtrack but damage is done. -Power that be decide to stop the info drip. Cut them Off completely and tell everyone including the money that Urban isn’t coming. They can do this as they know the money will be there still if UM “reconsiders”. This gets them off their back and the 995ers can look like bumbling idiots as they do legitimately search for backup options in case UM does fall through and also as a cover. Also allows them to say “he changed his mind” to the 995ers when it does happen without them getting butt hurt (hence the rubber mallet not hammer from IT) -Names like Mullen, Kelly and Kubiak make sense to provide cover as well. Mullen and Kelly looking for raises so the discussion benefits both parties regardless and Kubiak has the relationship with Pierce that makes him an obvious candidate and a big enough name -the only question is why delay. Think it does come down to assembling a staff for UM. OSU still playing plus others that have bowl games and even some NFL names. Also allows UM to finish his fox contract out(still not extension there btw) and work in relative silence I was going full day crew for awhile there but let’s fucking go. Urban Meyer will be the Head football coach at the University of Texas. I’m fucking convinced, this is happening17 points

@David Dennison Herman is done. Lets do a ban bet. Herman stays and Im banned for good. Herman is gone you're banned for good.17 points

I hate that things have to be so binary. It seems like there could be a way to do this where both of you are banned.16 points

This is correct. Weeks ago. I don't mind you guys and most of the others discussing SW as posters, and this thread goes all over, but fuck all of you SW nerds if you think the rest of us want any kind of shitty fucking revisit of the flaming piece of dogshit that The Last Jedi was. That was a movie made by people that hated their audience. I laughed out loud in a packed theater on opening night when fucking Mary Poppins Leia made an appearance, roughly around the time angry, belligerent bitchass Luke Skywalker fucking milked an alien sea cow and drank it. What a fucking joke of a movie in a collection of mostly terrible movies. That movie and all 3 prequels are a fucking embarrassment. Any single one of them would be considered Battlefield Earth-level bad if they didn't have the SW brand attached to them. I hated TLJ so much that I checked out on the final one released last year. Never watched it, heard it was also mediocre trash, and never thought much about it again. There is a movie board for you fucking dorks that have a pathological need to discuss shitty fucking Star Wars movies made by people and entities that take you for granted and snicker behind your backs that you pay to watch their tripe.16 points

WTF is wrong with you people. UM to Texas is done. stop already with that other weak ass shit, take it the weak ass shit threads designed for the weak at heart aka SDE fuckers16 points

It shouldn't be that hard for someone to tell South Carolina to get fucked and let Army play in that game.16 points

After all the bitching Nebraska did about “let us play” they should man up and play Army in a bowl game. Fucking cowards.15 points

In your prolonged absence, we actually discussed this with similar thinking to your own. There has been one move made to pump a school for more money because Texas is looking - Sexton for Dan Mullen. Even that might not completely be the case because even Mullen stopped getting mentioned by reporters shortly after he was originally floated. One of the more unusual things about this search so far, for UT's history of weak behavior on the subject, is the general lack of leaks from really anywhere. If you look back at everything, I'm fairly certain that the faucet got turned off immediately after this sequence of events: 1) Eltife's guy gets on a plane, delisted, and visits UM. 2) Burton releases specific information about the trip and the fact that that nothing's finished but progress was made. Burton did not claim that Eltife was on the plane or that he met with Meyer. 3) Geoff Ketchum almost immediately posts his own fiction around the same subject. He gets key details completely incorrect and makes an ass out of Eltife and others with the false information. He then retracts those parts of the article he wrote and publicly pleas on Twitter, in the most pussified, indirect way, to be understood and forgiven by whoever he burned with his release. 4) Shortly thereafter, the word trickles out that UM has indicated he's not interested. 5) Virtually nothing useful has made its way out from there. We've heard about Kubiag, Kelly, and Mullen since. All of those were known outreach, if not publicly known, before the Ketchum Butterfuck of 2020. I don't think anything has made its way out since Ketchum clusterfucking things like the fat fucking retard that he is. Seriously, someone should fact check my timeline, but it seems like this is what occurred. If that's true, we need to figure out a way to make this the last time Geoff Ketchum gets to fuck up something for UT fans. I'm talking crowdsourcing a campaign at Rivals and Yahoo! and ensuring that his subscriber base feels under attack for supporting him in some way.14 points

What's the advantage there? Ash is far and away a worse head coach and administrator than Tom Herman. It's not even close. Actually, no. When I've come on here and posted thoughts from others, they've consistently held the position that Herman is gone. These are the same people that knew shit like Kubiag being interviewed before the services mentioned them considering him and that CDC was going to release a limp dick vote of confidence for Herman ahead of that being public. There are things known, and things unknown, and in between are the dorks ... like you who can't understand the difference. The administration has had Herman fired in role for months and every action taken by them supports that. It's not that hard to understand. Whoever they're focused on, they expect to hire shortly after his last game is finished, and in doing so, they'll also promptly fire Herman. The university gets to look less like assholes such as Auburn and South Carolina, keep the majority of its recruiting class, and keep most of its roster without leaving the players in limbo worrying about who their next coach will be which would otherwise lead to increased attrition. They chose not to fire Herman after the OU game, when they should have. From there, firing the guy just to fire him has diminishing returns. I wanted him gone again after ISU, but I understand the logic of keeping things intact until the solution is inked.14 points

I don't think I'm always serious or even most of the time. I do make sure when I am actually passing stuff on to be clear about that and that it's like something I'm divining myself. I guess here I didn't make it that clear because I was fucking around. My first paragraph in the quoted post is serious. The second paragraph with one sentence is just me wishing good karma into the thread and world. I don't know who knows shit at this point. Usually very informed folks are scratching their heads. The one thing everyone who knows anything has been clear on is that Fuckface is gone. After that it all looks like conjecture.13 points

Alright limp dick day crew. Giiit! There are really only 2 options left at this point: Herman or Meyer. And anyone that thinks that tepid ass coaching our football team going forward into the 2021 season was anything but the kiss of death can GTFO. I dont know shit about CDC or if he's in over his head or had his duties removed during this coaching search by hatrzell at Etfie. But he has shown nothing other than being a very competent AD at TCU and so far at by God Texas. Everyone knows how bad they fucked up the Saban shit when big dicks started Cumming everywhere trying to show what they knew. As soon as even a little pre cum dripped out they circled the fucking wagons. Shit shit down and cut everyone off. Urban is loyal to OSU. He said dont say a fucking word until their season is over. Over the past month urban, Hartzell, the BOR, CDC etc have all had more than enough opportunities to flat out say Urban Meyer is not coming to Texas next year. We have a coach and Herman will be here next year to improve with a full off season program and a full schedule. NOT ONE INTERSETED PARTY HAS SAID THAT. NOT ONE. Its going to be urban fucking everyone in the ass next year on the 40. Fucking deal with it!11 points

What’s amazing is how clearly he lays out his nakedly transactional theory of everything: I endorsed you and thus you owe me favors in your court. He is literally broadcasting his spoils system view of government with a loudspeaker but his asshole supporters want us to believe Biden is the most corrupt EVAR.9 points

oh fucking bullshit Urban JUST NOW started kicking the tires on an NFL career? And he JUST NOW decided "you know, a guy who hasn't coached in twenty years is just the person to ask about it"...? He has no one else he can ask, and he's only just now (a year into his SECOND retirement from coaching) calling up people to ask about the NFL? fucking retarded bullshit9 points

Bobby Burton 12 minutes ago I spent much of Sunday trying to ascertain if the results of Saturday's various conference championship games altered the timeline any whatsoever for the Horns' administration to move forward in its search for a new football coach, despite the public vote of confidence athletic director Chris Del Conte voiced for Tom Herman more than a week ago. It has not. The previous timeline I was given was after the bowl games, when all coaches would be available to talk. Based on one conversation with a high-ranking official with knowledge of the situation, the timeline remains the same. We're looking at the post-bowl, post-playoffs timeframe into the New Year. Could that change? It's possible. But I was told it is also unlikely. The Horns are wanting to consider multiple coaches, including one who has specifically told Texas emissaries that he would be unwilling to talk until after his team's post-season. Furthermore, the weekend's results only "stiffened the resolve" of at least one of the three major players, a group that includes Chris Del Conte, Jay Hartzell and Kevin Eltife, to make a coaching change. In other words, the Aggies' near-miss of the CFB playoffs with their fourth-year senior starter at QB combined with a sixth straight conference championship for the Sooners, the latest with a freshman QB, is hitting home. Tom Herman hasn't met the expectations or guideposts set by his own peers. It is time for a change. ** With the return of Josh Thompson, D'Shawn Jamison and Jalen Green, Texas appeared set at cornerback. Yet the Horns went out and signed grad transfer Darion Dunn of McNeese State at the position. Chalk me up as someone who thinks Dunn will push the other three for a starting role next year. It's not like Thompson, Jamison or Green performed exceptionally well last year; all of them had issues with pass interference penalties and they did not capitalize on enough turnover opportunities. Despite returning senior or fifth-year starters, I definitely think cornerback play could be upgraded.9 points

So is it Star Wars and shittiest Florida town day in here? I know that talk about Campbell and Kelly definitely doesn't go here, not sure how that was unclear. And for real, spoiler your mandolorian stuff @BachelorTrek. I'm 2 weeks behind. Mandolorian is the best Star Wars since the originals, especially the 2nd season to this point. Tampa / St Pete area is probably the best place to live for normal folks. For us Surly 1%ers that are all powerful lawyers or have other high paying day jobs that allow us to be on a Longhorn website all day while our supermodel wife sits at the house, West Palm is probably the place to be.8 points

I sometimes wonder if I’m crazy or whatever since I am not hanging out with people or planning on visiting family for Christmas. Like am I overreacting? I definitely have to tell myself that I am doing my part even if many others aren’t. That’s all I can do.8 points

Urban Meyer is tied to the CFP like Michael Scott was related to Jan’s baby. If you honestly think he’s waiting to see if his son in law is available or a supporting staff coach then, well ok. He’s likely just evaluating all of his options including not coaching.8 points

the only legit gripe anyone has-- and I would still sneer at A&M if this were the case, because it's fucking A&M, but it's not the case anyway-- was if five legit programs did everything they were supposed to do and that included big-time wins and one had to be left out. A&M lost to Alabama by 28 points. Their best win was a narrow home win over an unimpressive Florida team that lost to a terrible LSU team. You can make a case that A&M deserved a playoff bid, but it's impossible to make a case that their omission was noteworthy, let alone some kind of travesty. This is what happens to teams that don't take care of business, every year, when it comes to picking a playoff field. Better programs with better resumes than A&M this year have been left out.8 points
