Yes. And I tried to stay out of that thread. Did make shit comments. @Thatguy knows fucking football. I knew it within 5 mins of meeting him at a surly tailgate. And ya need to do podcasts man, seriously. You know your shit.

I am just fucking frustrated. We have a lot of really good pieces in our puzzle damnit. And it’s like this year was squandered in a way it should not have been. I expected growing pains and mistakes and interceptions and that kind of shit. If this were a season of a show: I wouldn’t watch but about 3 episodes of season 5. It’s that fucking bad. We should not have been that fucking bad. It’s on Sark. It didn’t have to be like this.

he is extremely talented but it’s like he has his relationship shit last year and then I hear all sorts of shit via up to his old stuff like he was at Washington and Nansen and so on. Doesn’t he know at 51-52 he cannot have fire water? He cannot hold his fire water? So why play with fire? He doesn’t need this outside extracurricular shit like he’s in his twenties. I know Lane does all kinds of shit too. But he can hold his fire water. Sark cannot and it’s like just like with his stubbornness on play calling he cannot see that. Damn. The recovering alcoholic hurts in me but I figured out after being sober nearly four years and no alcohol that i can never ever ever drink again. And it’s like he thinks he needs that fucking edge or something. And it becomes sloppy. Like some people can drink socially and I know I cannot. He cannot. He knows what happens when he does and it’s just sad and infuriating. But when he nearly wrecks basically a $30 million dollar team because of it—it’s like wtf? No way to fix it. No assurances it can be handled next year or the next year. And it’s bleeding over into our team in a totally unprofessional kind of way. Damn.

But Nicole you understand what Sark is right? He is self-destructive. Alcohol is just a vessel for that. He is hellbound on ruining anything positive in his life, and will remain like that unless he gets help. So be prepared to see him flounder in life because he just can't allow himself to get out of his own way. Stubbing toes is what people like him do.

Which position groups do we need to bolster via the portal for next year to be his best roster? Feels like almost all of them

  1. OL
  2. DB
  3. RB

For starters, anyway.

He needs a fucking sponsor if any of this stuff is true. If he really is drinking again, I don’t see any way he can continue here.

Both my FIL (6 years) and I (3 years) are friends of Bill W. and have collectively deduced that he’s very likely drinking based on change in demeanor and defensive responses to everything. That was before all the shit started to come out on here.

I’d venture pain pills are likely involved again as well.

You’re not wrong. That’s what is scary. I really hope the University was smart enough to put some specific morality language in his latest contract since he has a history of suing his employers.

His contract is no different than Beard's.

It’s hard to watch man. I know what you are saying. It’s like watching someone unlatch their seatbelt on the rollercoaster, it’s like watching a moment without hope, and yet I don’t want him or anyone else to give up on themselves but his way ain’t the way. And we know how the story will end. Still hoping that it will end another way. So in that respect i am as fucking stubborn as he is. I always think the root cause can be fixed.

As a guy who has employed people on the West Coast and in Texas, it is significantly harder to sue successfully here in Texas under his circumstances.

Saying shit like this with zero proof about a person you have never met is so irresponsible. You are a terrible person.

At least we know we have a solid night crew if we have to go there.

Ken Burns and Clair Danes are pleased with your response.

Make it happen man. Or nab the Cohen brothers to direct. This could be epic. Who would play you?

I'm holding out for Josh Brolin, but if I could even get one of those producer credits where you really weren't involved like Dolly Parton, I would be gruntled.

Having Peter Coyote mention me in narration and Josh Brolin read my post as "Night Moves" video played would be epic though.

Got home a bit ago. After making a pit stop in east atx to see my sister. Checking in from behind the band. Even when arky made it close I never felt for a second we wouldn’t dog walk em. And we did. Play like that next week and Tighten up a bit on defense and we’ll take down aggy. But I want Sark to succeed for UT. But if he’s not it I swear to god actually go big fish hunting. On to hate aggy week.

Since it’s pitch black at 5:30 pm…9:00 pm is the new midnight. Apparently.

I sympathize with both of these posts, but it's Saturday night for fifteen more minutes.

The Coen brothers might be a little too sophisticated for us. I'm thinking the Farrelly brothers might be a better fit ...

Can someone draw a through line between the rumors and our performance this year.  Seems we lost again to Georgia and OSU and the offense is inconsistent with a tepid running game.  Same as last year.  Defense is back to not being able to cover anyone.  All problems that have been consistent with Sark’s tenure here.

Just trying  to understand the claim that Sark’s rumored issues are why we lost games this year.

I mean just a couple weeks ago the claim was that he had lost the locker room.  Nothing I see on the field or the sidelines indicates that but I’m not insider.

I hope none of it is true. Both for his sake and the programs sake.

We do not know what is going to happen outside of our game. Sark should be preparing the team like a playoff spot is on the line.

Real talk on the contract.  It would seem really incumbent on the University/System to have some sort of clause that permits termination on resumption of substance abuse or something similar.

If for no other reason than to waive ADA application/accommodations, if that can be waived.

Although kind of embarrassing for both sides, a person actually in recovery would understand and welcome it.
