Wait what? Wasn’t it that once it passed the LOS the kicking team could recover?

The issue was it was blocked behind the LOS. Did they explain it different?

All punts are blocked behind the line of scrimmage. 
 

thw deal is that even if the pint is blocked, if the ball goes past the LoS it’s the same as any other punt. So if the receiving team touches it it’s a live ball. 
 

it just happened 1 yard past the los instead of 50 yards past the Los.

Ah, I didn’t see the Cowboys player touched the ball after it passed the LOS. So they screwed up by even trying to get it. Ugh.
