Well the mighty Yankees finally scored a run against Christian Whovier

That seems good.

Your boy Maton is on my shit list.  Imma gonna keep my fingers crossed here but I don't like this start from him.

I guess there was no way we weren’t getting Maton in during a double header.  Just wish it wasn’t with a 1-run lead.

Damn that pitch from Maton was nasty. Starting behind Torres and broke to the inside of the plate.

Playoff Maton making a rare appearance.

Then you see him throwing those frisbees around and you think- why doesn't this guy dominate?  Why is he a JAG to worse for the vast majority of his career?
Holy shit what a lucky hit that was.  Damn.

damn terrible luck for Maton

JAG Maton would turn that into a 2 run homer, playoff Maton strikes out the next batter no problem. I hope Dusty doesn't get frisky and send Phil out for 2.

Feels like this has happened every game with the Yankees. We start out hot and try and hold on through the middle and late innings. Bats go silent after the 3rd or 4th

Click needs to go get a fucking bat.

Yep, I don't think we can count on getting Brantley back anytime soon. Need a 1B/OF.

HE said he was single handedly trying to fire up the trade market but everyone told him to fuck off and pay attention to the draft and then they'd get back with him.  Said they are going to be very agro at the deadline.

Really appreciate the free outs the Yankees are giving us by continuing to run Gallo up there.

Someone said Boras was on a podcast saying he's a great healer and they think he should be able to start swinging in September?  Did I hear that right?

Mancini makes the most sense. It's a shame that Yordan is incapable of playing 1B because it would really help if he could. I think Soler could be a low cost addition (just like last year), but he doesn't play 1B either.

Mancini has a$10M mutual option for next year with a $250K buyout

Soler has two PO's for $15M and $9M respectively.

Yep.  Lifetime pass for shitting on Jansen and saving G2.

Same but I'll take as many outs as we can get from him today and in October should the situation arise 😉

And he earned one before that for the Darvish game when the Astros were really shitty

Had one of our biggest hits ever. But I hope he keeps fouling out today.

Since Boras isn’t Brantley’s agent, probably not.

The grand slam against the Rangers in 2017 was pretty awesome as well.

Thanks.  I heard that on the radio the other day as I was getting into the car and hadn't seen anything around here about it so yeah, probably fucked that up.

Pitching to Trevino? What is the YES announcer smoking?

Montero for 2 or Neris against 5-7? Montero threw 8 pitches.

I'd send Monte back out to save arms for tonight.

So are we supposed to all bow down to the shock and awe of them offering up the #55 prospect in the game?

Tell Click to shut it down, we can't compete with that kind of offer.

Garcia, Urquidy and Leon for Castillo.  Get er done click.

Would you rather have Castillo or Soto?

We need a stats nerd to crunch the number on the odds a pitcher could make 19 starts for a near .700 win % team with a 5.4 runs per game average yet only have 3 wins.

Soto for 2 years 100 times out of 100

We give up a better and younger starter for Castillo ?

Castillo is going to get shelled in the playoffs

Personally?  Soto.  There is no way that happens.  I don't know that Castillo is super likely but I expect us to be involved in that completely.

If Soto is really going to have Corbin duck taped to him that talent offer shouldn't be all that big (you are essentially paying Soto 100 million for the next 2 years b/c of the Corbin anchor around his neck).
So- my offer would be Garcia and Meyers.  That's fair surplus value for surplus value if Corbin is attached.  I would assume they view that as ridiculously light, but I'd make the call and ask where that got me, before immediately pivoting to Josh Bell and Nelson Cruz.  If Brantley is gone we need 2 bats.  Get them both at the same place.

Ok- so just want to make sure I have you right- it's your contention that Garcia is a better pitcher than Castillo?
