No shit.

He is a trash poster.

For the record I hate racists and racism and Quinnn being a redneck from Southlake has nothing to do with this.

People from Southlake can be rednecks? Hmm, i've learned something new today.

Why? All those reasons listed are why this team was held back by our QB. I’m happy we had semi final appearances the last two years but this years team was good enough to win a title with a top 3 defense in program history. Back to back years we’ve set program records for draft picks with the most important position limiting this team. You could see it in how Sark had to call plays because of those limitations. You will see it this year when the offense looks completely different because of a QB who can push the ball downfield and has athleticism to avoid the rush and limit self sacks with better pocket awareness. But some growing pains are expected for a first year starter, the issue with Quinn is he regressed so much from year 2 to year 3.

The number one limitation on this team was its ability to run the football. Period. In every game that we lost we couldn't run the ball. 29 yards vs Georgia regular season. 31 yards vs Georgia in the SEC championship. 53 yards vs Arizona State. 58 yards vs Ohio State. And that is why posters don't take people like you and Derka seriously. People see Quinn's flaws, but to say he was what held us back this year is disingenuous.

Fuck you man.

It was Sark that said Quinn helped turn this program around you self centered prick.

I don’t remember anyone saying Quinn personally “led” us to the playoffs.

However you and  your shadow operative , boaw, claim he held this team back.

Well which is it son?

He can’t be the reason this team was “held back” and not be the guy that helped get us there in the first place.

hard to establish the run game when nobody on the defense is worried about the qb who can’t move the chains with his arm, can’t scramble, and self sacks more than almost any other qb in football. that tends to make things tougher on your patchwork rb room that was actually performing admirably all things considered.

Seems only a couple of posters here agree with you so you and your buddies are in the minority.

Coach Sark would not agree either.

If you cannot run the football immobile quarterbacks are going to struggle. That's simple football logic. Using the draft position to prove your point is moronic. That's why I won't spend a bunch of time arguing about where people are drafted. There are three types of draft picks. Guys who the NFL think have what it takes(High draft picks). Guys who the NFL think are incapable because of size/ability(low draft picks). Guys who the NFL thinks has the typical size/skill but haven't refined it yet(project players). The NFL's opinion is Quinn is of the second group. Incapable. Not strong enough arm. Not good enough in the pocket. Etc. That is a wait and see if they are correct for me and a lot of other posters here. There are many instances of him standing tall and throwing 20 yard outs that most QBs cannot throw. Just as there are many instances of wounded ducks. Outsid of mobility, he has the tools to be solid in the league it really just depends on running game and protection. So 85 pages of back and forth when no one has touched the field is just dumb. But carry on.

Another reason why people don't take your football takes seriously Derka. Anyone here who even understands football a little bit watched defense after defense trot out at least two deep safeties for the majority of the time Sark has been calling offense at the University of Texas. In fact, quite a few of them tried to run the 3 high flyover that has been so successful in the past vs Sark offenses. Even when we trotted out 12 personnel.  Did a couple teams get aggressive in the box? Sure. Georgia did in our second meeting as a changeup and Quinn threw for 358.

You can't just spout out easily refutable untruths Derka, like "the rb room was performing admirably" when every single loss we had we didn't crack 60 yards. A solid running team can run on any box because there are always angles and blocking schemes you can use to counter them. If you come out of every big game with a yard or two per carry you are NOT a good running team. Full stop.

this was my point about the OL.  Quinn was fine(mostly very good not great, some not so good).  The inability to establish the running game knowing you had a limited running QB, who got even more limited after his injury is on Sark.

It is also on Sark that he decided not to go to his more mobile QB to help with the running game.  There has to be a reason for that but I can't imaging what it was, such a mystery.

It all starts with the OL.  we are much better but not where we need to be and we still had a shot.

I think everyone understands that the D was championship level throughout the season and that the O was not quite championship level. Kicking I will leave at "ugh".

I dont think either OT was 100% to end the year. Cam was looking especially rough the last 2 games. I still question if he should have been out there. Crazy thing is I think Texas will be more athletic on the OL this year. Might be better run blocking group, the prior OLs were more built for pass pro

Sorry objective analysis and breakdown of Quinn’s game hurts your feel feels. And if that isn’t enough there is also the objective data that he was worse in 24 than 23. Sorry about objective information.

So this is Derka's sock account.  You try to strengthen your argument by using terms you clearly do not understand incorrectly, even after this was pointed out to you.  A consensus of opinions is not objective data.  Otherwise Sanders was the #1/ or #2 QB taken in the draft.    Also telling someone to take Xanax is a shot at their mental health, and yet you complain about being teased for your struggles.

It is really strange that you cannot handle disagreement and that you resort to fallacies and bombastic misrepresentations to try to self-sooth (including using a second account) or the use of repetition of words you must have recently learned.  I called you out because you were being kind of an ass on here, and for days you have claimed to have the receipts but you have failed to produce any evidence to support your claims.   You latched on to a draft order as an indicator of a different league of how important a player was to a college team and university, because you failed in every other measure to demonstrate otherwise.

Speaking of which, In one brief study, looking at those players based solely on position who were drafted from 2000-2019, and defining success measured by second year contracts, Centers are at 92%, Tackles at 59% and Guards at 50%.  All other positions are worse than a coin flip.   So using this as a metric for evaluating the collegic impact and performance is anything but objective.   It doesn't even bode well for the experts (save for the evaluation of centers).   If you put in a little bit of effort, you would have discovered this for yourself.  You would have also noticed how the consensus failed to predict Sanders draft, and how several podcast/youtube hosts went into CYA mode to point blame back at Sanders for being drafted below the podcasters expectations.  This should have given you pause as to the value of these folks opinions, especially when trying to contrast it with real figures and performance.

I think your last sentence is the point he’s making.

yes Colt is a much better college QB than Will Howard also.  a Colt McCoy level QB wasn't on our team the last 2 years. That is on Sark.

We also win the NC with a better OL.

Agreed. But to BO&Ws point, that’s what he has been saying all along. This oline, and team, was good enough to win a title if we had someone better at QB.

Y’all agree so I’m not sure what the disconnect is.
