I was up close for FJM last night and that shit was LOUD. Had a great time. “Nothing Good Ever Happens at the Goddamn Thirsty Crow” and “Holy Shit” were at the top of my list, so I left happy.

Looking to go to Royel Otis at Bomb Factory on Friday. Will be a day of ticket purchase if I do.

The happiest crowd I've ever seen was for Royel Otis, and I felt like the oldest person there while everybody was having a great time.  Fun show.

You surely know this, but many might not.  The support acts are at the mercy of the headliners, and in this case, Viagra Boys are not only stealing the PA but the stage time.  Such is life, just battle through and take names.  Don't expect Die Spitz to return any favors to Viagra Boys if fortunes flip.

Seeing them in two weeks.  I'll be mad if they fuck over Die Spitz--that's who I'm going for.  Buddy gave me a ticket in exchange for a ticket to see TVOTR tonight at the Lincoln Theater.  It was epic, a genuine DC moment.  Perfect show in a semi ornate, smallish venue with so much energy.

NIN is now tied for 2nd with Isbell for the most times I’ve seen a band live. Mastodon still holds the top spot.

found this website yesterday, nintourhistory.com. you can add your dates and it compiles a bunch of stats...how many times you've seen each song, who the band members were, etc. i've seen 108 unique songs and 422 total. wish and hlah were the only 2 songs played at all 19 shows. hurt and gave up at 18/19. fun to play around with.

We were upstairs at the Bomb Factory show last night and I made the same comment to my wife. We go to a lot of shows and I couldn't remember many -- if any -- being that loud. We slid back to the upstairs middle to hang with some other friends during the encore and it seemed balanced a little better.

Great show, though.

a PJ fan made an app that does the same,  pretty fun to nerd out on.  i wish more bands did it.

Was it The Ritz that NiN played in Austin at some point in the 90's?  A buddy went and said it was just about the best show he ever saw.

Not The Ritz.  I was pretty much a fixture there in the 90's.  My roommates worked there.

BALTHVS was great last night although I really didn't understand starting that show at The Scoot Inn at 6:45.  That is early when the sun is still out.  Always love seeing them play but the sound guy... offf... speakers left of the stage did not sound good.

Had not heard of Viagra boys and gave it a listen.  Fun stuff.  Dallas show at HoB is sold out, but I may get a resale ticket.

Worth it.  They put on a great show.  Research Chemicals was particularly great.

Considering Stubbs Day 2 on Sunday.  My kids want to go and Monday is no school so will probably cave.

Saw Magnolia & Johnson Electric Company at 29th street last night. WIll Johnson of Centr0-Matic (and current member of the 400 Unit) played with the surviving members of Magnolia Electric Company. They played for nearly three hours. They closed the set with Farewell Transmission and it was pretty fucking electric. Very happy I went. Just a great experience.

The 90s was fucking wild. I have only seen NIN twice way back in 94/95, and both shows were at Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, and they were only four months apart. And according to this website, they played the exact same set in the exact same order. I mean, why?

I was there too but couldn’t stay until the end. They sounded great.
