Ah yes. The City model. AKA, what are you going to do, take our trophies and celebrations away?

Yes but presumably they are going to sell more jerseys and be more profitable with brand growth entering Champions League for the first time in 20 years

Outsider looking in... this doesn't seem like an improvement. I guess you play a false 9 with Nkuku?

I think this is the first step, clear out the dead weight and bloated salaries.

Jackson won't be a main no. 9, we will add some depth here and Broja coming off an injury should simply be considered depth at this point. Victor keeps popping up but I don't think that happens. I think Vlahovic is more likely, who knows maybe we end up with a disgruntled Lukaku until we sign Toney in January.

Outside of that spot, I'm not mad at all. We need to add depth at outside but with Nkunku, Colwill, Gusto coming in and add a couple more signings we will have a young talented squad. I don't expect us to light the league up next year, but I hope we have more consistency in the line up and in the managerial spot.

Lot's of positive news that Caicedo is close. I fully expect Gallagher, Auba, Lukaku, CHO and Pulisic (ztejas) to be sold. I almost expect us to lose Mount on a free after next season at this rate. Chalobah and Maatsen might be out as well.

It's going to be a very different team out there.

Quite a haul for 1 year left on a contract and a player dictating which team they will be joining.

He's English. Surprised he didn't go for 200M.

holy shit -  Newcastle has the cash. £40m for Tino Livramento? Saints bought him for £5m two years ago. He didn't even play last year due to an ACL injury.

So as of this AM...

Caicedo is completing his medical.

Lavia has told Liverpool he wants to go to Chelsea.

Olise is picking Chelsea over Manchester City.

And Lukaku is still being a bitch.

Romeo Lavia: Chelsea complete £58m deal to sign Southampton midfielder

Well done, Saints.

  • bought him from City 1 year ago for¬†¬£14m.
  • Put a¬†¬£50m evaluation on him earlier this summer and held strong.
  • Laughed at Liverpool's initial bid of¬†¬£37m.
  • Scoffed at Liverpool's second bid of¬†¬£41m.
  • Rejected Liverpool's 3rd bid at¬†¬£45m.

Got to believe this is a record signing for a Championship player.
