Quincy draws lane 8 for tonight’s final

Kid is already a national treasure.

He’s lane 2, different Quincy in lane 8.  It’s been amazing following this kid during the season.

There’s also been talk of getting the Olympic trials out of Eugene and into a larger city with easier access and more hotels. Austin gets mentionable a lot

I am hoping Athing Mu gets a spot on the 4x400 team.  Broke my heart to see her go down.  Nothing nefarious about her fall.  I was hoping that there was so she could still have a shot at the Games.

Regarding the men's 4x400, I always assumed that the top 6 400 meter finishers at the trials made up the relay pool.  It could be coaches choice I guess.   It would be cool to see QW get to run a leg in the prelims.

That was heartbreaking, it was an unbelievable run.  Alternate on something, to say the least.

I was just glad to have two kids go sub 48 this year for my own team.  QW is a freak.  I am coaching a junior olympian club team right now and a couple of them even wear Bullis gear.

Loved watching Syd break the WR again.  Remember being there two years ago, front row on the back stretch when she won the World Champ and broke the record previously.  Absolutely can't wait to see her and Femke dual it out - my two favorite women t&f athletes.

Really hope Mu gets a shot for the 4x4.

Rai looking great - love watching him run.

And then the 4x1... always crazy.  Can't wait.

That's incredible... running sub 45's at that age.

He's done it again. Clocked a 44.20 yesterday to lower his world record by nearly four-tenths.

Just an unbelievable talent. Check the interview. Kid is mature beyond his years in performance and personality.

Good lord Mondo.

I watched the whole production - it was fun. Warholm having to wear a Swedish jersey today is lol.  That was the bet, loser has to wear the other country's jersey.  T&F needs more stuff like this and less bullshit like Syd not being allowed to qualify for the finals in the diamond league 400 and 200 next week because she hasn't run "enough" diamond league races this season.  Mondo offered to run a 400 against her head to head as a fallback plan.

Duncanville's Brayden Williams was the heavy favorite to win the 6A 100m final today having ran a wind-assisted 9.82 two weeks ago in Regionals.  He ran 10.01 today and got smoked by Tate Taylor from Northside Harlan (9.92) with a new state record.

Taylor is only a junior. Ja'Shaun Lloyd of Corsicana broke the 110h record that had stood since 1990. Ran a 13.2 into a slight headwind.

Dillon Mitchell got 4th in the 100m with 10.17.  He's a freshman.  One to keep an eye on.

I went to watch the son of one of my buddies run the 800. Dude is a phenom.  Won 5A last year as a freshman.  Won 6A this year as a sophomore.

This is his run as a freshman, which is my favorite. Lady’s voice jumps an octave when he starts his kick.

Took second in the quarter a short time later running 46.3.

Someone mentioned the freshman who finished 4th at 10.17, but don't forget that another freshman finished 5th and broker 10.2 as well.

Does anyone know what happened to the runner out of Boerne (believe it was Champion) who won the 3200 by a ridiculous margin running 10:11 and then she ran in the Olympic trials, but I saw she didn't run this spring?
