I don't like the idea of a candidate who treats people badly, but I'm also wary of stories aimed at undermining candidates given the nature of the information warfare that is already underway.  It looks like there's a fair amount of smoke with Klobuchar.  I'm doing a bunch of traveling right now and began the trip with an unused comb.  The thing that would make that exchange nasty/crazy to me would be if the comb was a used comb.

Or if she had just wiped the comb clean on a can of Dapper Dan.

Which begs the question, if there were more Muslims in Israel than Jews, would it still be a Jewish state?

always a hot topic that will never happen because it presumes including Gaza which is long gone out of the equation. The West Bank is slowing being choked, the Arab birth rate is down while the orthodox Jewish is rising. So this is a non issue by people and politicians who have a poor grasp of reality.

"Do you see now?" the senator asked.

The aide trembled, picking up the paper clips.

"You are privy to a great becoming and you recognize nothing."

"I'm sorry, Senator."

"You are made to do one thing correctly. Before me you rightly tremble."

I think there is a double standard.  If Joe Biden had stuck his dick in Chuck Schumer's Cobb Salad while Chuck wasn't looking, I'd think it was kind of funny.
But this comb shit?  Fucking loon.

Shit- if it’s gonna be that kind of party...

This is what centrists/establishment Dems look like, the kind most of us trying to push the party more to the left don't like.

Eh, this was some guerilla activist shit and Feinstein didn’t play.

This is what propaganda looks like.

I can almost get your thinking but these weren't adults Hugo, these were kids. She could have absolutely not come off condescending and placated them by saying she would consider it and she appreciates their enthusiasm. She could have just about done anything else and it would have been better.

It’s a selectively edited video by a group that supported her primary opponent.

She could have done better I suppose but whatever.

Unless this is one of those deep fakes where everything is fabricated, those were still the actual words and tone she used to talk to kids. It is a bad look and I know of a few of my wife's hometown and college friends in Cali have hated Feinstein for a long time, this isn't surprising.

She would make a great babysitter tho...

yeah that was an ambush and they were using kids.  and she was facing the children and explaining how she won with a million vote plurality and has been doing this for 30 years.  I get that politicians like her may not be used to being on video at all times but it's not fucking rocket science how to handle that.

Total outsider just observing here.

Who’s pushing the Klobuchar bitch angle?  I get that it’s a non flattering aspect of her personality, but the way it’s all coming out now is very coordinated. Is it Kamala or Gillibrand backers trying to snuff her out before she gets going?

I don't think there's much going on here in that regard. Klobuchar isn't drawing much water, and once a few pissed off employees start gossiping, there is blood in the water.

Treat enough people like shit and, eventually, they'll start talking.

Dems are just awful.

Her opposition to Medicare For All and the Green New Deal already made Klobuchar a nonstarter.

I think the real question is who will be the 2024 democratic nominee, am I right?

Agreed.  She's the only Dem with a semi-juicy "scandal" that's perfect for 30-second soundbites.  That shit is perfect for twitter memes.

I guess she appeals to "centrists" but not having any bold ideas will be a problem for her.

This thread is a fascinating look at proof that liberals hate the Left more than the Right.

I find it fascinating that there is an actual political spectrum within the Democratic party that allows for arguments between leftists, liberals and centrists. We have two political parties in this country and one of them has locked out all political discourse. If there was a similar purge in the DNC where DINO's were expelled this country would be proper fucked. Considering the GOP has gone all in on know-nothingism I would not be surprised to see more moderates floating into Dem party.

moderates will re-elect trump before voting for a leftist.  a centrist is your only real hope.  and that’s what makes this thread so great.

Maybe.

Probably not, though.

I think Beto could appeal to moderates while exciting the left. He did it in Texas. Ready for him to jump in.

I don't think the Democrats are going to be putting much effort into wooing Trump voters in Texas this cycle.

I could be wrong.

Maybe 2028. Certainly after a Democrat proves capable of winning a statewide election. We're getting closer.

He will be vilified by many on the extreme left or "progressives" in primary season for not being progressive enough despite a fairly progressive voting record.  It's all a matter of which candidate can not only win their portion of the party but survive the attacks from the other side.  We're already seeing a lot of pandering to the extreme left right now.  Can the candidate pivot to a more moderate or centrist populist candidate once in a general is the key question.

That's my point. I think Beto will be able to excite the left,  young people especially, without taking extreme left positions. I don't know. We'll see. Regardless of how centrist the candidate is, the republicans will label them an extreme-left socialist. Klobuchar, or should I say Comrade Klobuchar, included.

Gonna have to agree with Celery here.  Only a cunt talks down to little kids that way.  Those kids are old enough to know what they are saying and doing.  Fuck her.
