Pretty perfect game to take a three year old to. Was over before he got too bored and got to see a couple homers. Thanks @UTPhil2006 for the suggestion about the first game certificate, had plenty of

I’m just glad I survived another season of being the official thread starter. Thank you all for your continued support in this emotional time.   In more ways than one with tonight’s result:

this team has lost its way

I'm thinking the Hader signing might not have been a good move.

He’s throwing bp

Not like we exactly want him to pitch again this series, but deciding to bring him in when you’re losing… and it backfiring…means he’s probably shot for this series with how his pitch count is trending

Good pitching tonight until Hader dragged his gas can onto the mound

maybe one swing and miss fuckstick?

Oh darn……

Hader, Abreu, Montero, Graveman, and McCullers will earn almost $80M this season.  Cool for them.

Sucks only one of them is hurt

Bielak gives up an XBH here and Hader gonna be in arrighetti level of ERA

right now pegged to 7…. For your closer. 2+ weeks in.

Did Blum just say this was high leverage for Bielak?  We were at 2% win expectancy.

Don't worry people we have Hunter Brown going tomorrow

Close the book at 9.39

At least Abreu can stay in the game now and bat against Chavez who he has a .286 average against with 2 homers!

Nervous The Office GIF

Would someone, please, act like they have played for this team before? With a bat? Throwing a baseball? Who the fuck are these guys?

shoulda kept Maton and Neris.   Save a ton of $ and sign a couple of decent hitters.  Diversify the risk.

Has Abreu pulled a ball this decade?

I hope Joe’s first words to Abreu’s in the locker room after the game are “I’m sorry about your oblique. Get some rest. We’ll see you in June”

(with no intentions of actually seeing him in June”

We got our high dollar 2023 off-season signing with an ERA (9.39) in the range of the OPS we want our high dollar 2022 offseason signing to have. And we got our high dollar 2022 offseason signing with an OPS (.250) in the range of the ERA we want our high dollar 2023 offseason signing to have

shit’s all fucked up

Regardless of what happened late, scoring one run wasn't going to get it done.

Jim Crane free agent signings the past TWO off-seasons:

1. CL Josh Hader - 5yr/$95M
2. 1B Jose Abreu - 3yr/$59M
3. RP Rafael Montero - 3yr/$35M
4. LF Michael Brantley - 1 yr/$12M

That record makes Jerry Jones blush. Would have preferred Crane to have sold the team like he was rumored to be doing instead of making these horrible deals.

It feels like there isn't anyone smart running this organization any more.

if it really is Bagwell, Biggio, Reggie and Crane then it does feel like the window is bolted shut.

era down to 4.50 and will keep going in a positive direction

Still not worried. But Hader man, he should get it together.
We talk pitching, Loperfido and schedule.
