This is setting up for Lando to do the funniest thing possible and fumble this in a way we've never seen before...like it was written by Larry David

Spoiler

...Or he's just going to dust the whole field, have a Max type race a few years ago and we see him like twice after the first three laps

Chances the McLaren's wreck each other is real high.

For the sake of the rest of the season, I kind of hope they do. If not, today probably ends all chances of a non-McLaren driver keeping the chase for the championship interesting.

Credit to Lando, bouncing back from his fuck up last weekend with a flawless Austrian GP, leading every session. Previous seasons (and maybe earlier in this one) he’d have made a mistake when Oscar was piling on the pressure early.

WDC gap is 16 heading to Silverstone, should be a fun one.

I think McLaren is three points from doubling up on second-place Ferrari, 417-210 in the constructors standings.

Antonelli out there driving like a 17 year old.

Feel like that move should have garnered Kimi some driver of the day votes.

Some poetic justice in a young, overly aggressive driver wrecking out Max.

Interesting stat, Red Bull is closer to Williams in points than they are to McLaren.

At minimum, that's the third time a Mercedes' driver has taken out Max by Leeroy Jenkins'ing it on lap 1 in the past 4 years.

It was a terrible move.  That said, Max has a history of dive bombing into corners, albeit with more control, initiating contact so:

JFC, someone please, please, please put a muzzle on Karun, FFS.

I'm diggin' Bernie's makeover.

Helluva nice race for Alonso. Much better outcome than I expected after FP. For once, strategy and the race worked in his favor.

Toto to Max: "and we're going to keep doing it till you sign with us"

Man, someone won't like that one bit. I'm not naming names, but it starts with George.

Mercedes slow-playing Russell's contact because there's a 1% chance that Max will be available really solidifies the pecking order on the grid.

I am trying to decided is Doris Burke the Karun of college football announcers or is Karun the Doris Burke of racing commentators or are both complete dogshit and wish we would never hear from either.

Agree on Bernie,  wish she would have gotten some of that air time Karun filled with his rambling nonsense.

That's a lot when you don't have Lance Stroll on your payroll. Obviously coincidental, but still interesting.

Lance?  Yuiki is doing more damage in the back of the pack than Lance.  There is a bit of karma for Max's dive bombing days and putting the divine wind in the second car.

Alonso giving Bortoleto props after the race was pretty heartwarming.

That was some fun racing.  I have a feeling Bortoleto woulda had him if they hadn't had to maneuver around Lando and Oscar at just the wrong time.

Yeah, one Bernie is worth about eleventy-bazillion Karuns. And once Martin is gone, Bernie should be on every single pit walk, with Ted, Naomi, or Simon, etc. I said a long time ago that the best grid walk would be Bernie & Ted. That went pretty well yesterday.

Probably. Alonso's tires were absolutely gone. A lot of people are saying that was one of Alonso's best drives ...  ever.

Wasn't nearly cringey enough.  My wife loves watching the races, but the only part of any of the pregame she'll ever watch, is a Brundle grid walk.  Because she loves the cringe. :)
