Man, I don't know, I think I saw that. Yeah, maybe it was on the last page. Oh, hold on, maybe that information was in....yeah, it's in the post you quoted.

I don't know why ya'll expect us to actually read on surly. it's just hand wringing and crying about Indiana.

(honestly I skimmed the post and saw him coming not that little blurb)

We don't need further bandwidth drain from you on this. Just say "I'm a fucktard" and move on. We all get it.

I did in the bottom there...maybe you skimmed it too.

Just now, Sir Ulrich said:

I am in agreement there but a tier 1/2 RB would have helped take a ton of pressure off of Arch. Specifically Ohio State when Texas got stuffed on multiple 4th downs in plus territory. Also Arch was the the least of our problems against Florida outside of 2 bad throws.

I said in my post that the team obviously had other issues as well, it doesn't change the fact that average play wins us both games I cited. Sark failing to convert on 4th down runs is nothing new. Even with better backs. That shit hasn't changed, do we need to remind you of last playoffs? And "outside of 2 bad throws" that were picks, the guy went 16/29. That's barely over 50%. In a game we had a shot to pull out, all other poor play aside. A QB barely hitting 50% is almost never the "least" of a team's problems.

But the main point I'm making, and I can't believe it's even an argument, is that saying Sark "wasted" Manning last year when Manning sucked shit through a fucking straw for more than half the season is a hell of a take. That's a statement we might be able to say about next year, but not this past year. Now, you want to say Sark had his head up his ass all last year? Sure. Go for it. Right there with you.

You just described the few Tech guys I have the unfortunate pleasure of knowing.

You’re not wrong, I just hate the concept of “All in” vs using different verbiage about how aggressive we’ll be! I for one am not upset with how 3 days into the portal has been so far. I still believe we’ll end up with a pretty good haul starting with shoring up the OL and addressing the other areas on our roster

“Wasted last year with Arch”

“We have to go all in, this is Arch last year”

etc….

The kid finished the year strong but he was definitely a part of the problem to start the season. But some of you refer to him as if he has been the second coming. Is he even a top 10 QB in Texas history? Regardless he hasn’t consistently displayed the type of talent that can’t be beat out by subsequent QB1s. I wish some of you would stop acting like Arch is our one and only chance. The next guy might be able to hit a crosser or a quick slant.

No, I read it. It was banal excuse-making instead of just owning it and being done with it. But now you’re going to reply to this as well and on and on and on.

How much of a potato do you have to be to be academically borderline at Auburn?

Lulz. No we're gonna let academics get in the way of a guy we want to buy for a year or 2 of football service.

Surprised there hasn’t been any movement from Jordan Seaton. Figured he’d be the biggest name to enter this cycle. I guess there’s still time

Showing up to create an account (I'm sure this is some guy's new handle) and whine about Tyler Atkinson in July is some chef's kiss level of trying to be a whiny bitch. That's like BO&W level gashery.

In case y'all forget, we ended up with Tyler Atkinson. Just like we ended up addressing our dire DT needs two portal seasons in a row. We might not get all our toys, but something tells me we'll be getting some this portal season.

I’ll see again in 10 years, till then!

The only player I really feel like we "wasted" during the Sark era was Bijan. And I can't really blame that on Sark or anyone other than Herman for leaving the roster in such awful shape. But every season since 2022, I find myself thinking "what could this team have done with Bijan on the roster?"

I don't feel that way about Manning this season. I wish we had done more to support him and to prepare him for the starter role, but those would have been band aids on the bullet wound that was Arch's play for the first 5 or 6 games this year.

Various folks involved offline on all of this would have had you believe that he’d be the first guy in and signing with Texas during this cycle. There were gratuitous fantasy stories involving landing like 7-8 of these types circulating. They were a core reason I told everyone on this board, in this thread, that I am from Missouri on all of the “all in” silliness. It’s the same shit I heard in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Less than a third of any of it ever comes to fruition.

For some of you this is going to be the only cure for stopping the portal bleeding. I did search a second to try and find a burnt orange version. I think I did well. In both color and shape symbolism...

I refuse to believe this in the age of 504 excuses, virtual classes, personal tutors, and ChatGPT. That's insane. Surely, to fail, a player would have to hack into the system and move their grades downward.

Times Square is about as polar opposite as you can get from Lubbock. Not sure who Tech thinks they are flexing too but I'm sure most of the people who actually saw that shit have no idea where the fuck Tech is and would have no fucking interest in suffering 4 years of juco there.

Cody Campbell wish casting that Tech is a national brand is honestly a little sad.

There's a rumor that Flood kicked the tires on him last month but then veto'd the take when he looked at his 247 profile and didn't see a 6'9" daywalking ginger nightmare with literal tree stumps for feet. Sorry Seaton, you don't fit the profile.

The problem is when I was saying “All in” is a fucking stupid thing to say it genuinely is! You have $9.95s back peddling on that now.

You can call me out on my previous post from back in July I got nothing wrong with that and I can admit when I’m wrong! But nothing I said today was about how are results looked 3 days into the portal. I’m waiting till after the next 12 days before I start judging on how well of a haul it will be.

if you took it another way that’s on you bud, not me!

Arch easily be a top 10 Qb, though lets be honest that is not a major achievement. He was a major portion of the OSU loss, though I do not think Texas wins that game if he plays better. OSU would have opened up the offense, but that is a different discussion. Florida was the game I watched and started feeling better about Arch. Though I also felt worst about Texas as the defense was horrible and the OL was next level bad.

Captains log star date three portal Kombat has been a dud so far. We are day three and Stark is getting stuffed in a locker by Cody Campbell. Brown took one look at Austin and said fuck it. I’m going back to Louisville. Michigan linemen came for the cake. Cam Coleman walked out of meetings per aggy and high tailed it to college station. But on the up and up we should be about 85% solid in special teams.
