Should've won this year's game too.  We had an 82% postgame win expectancy.

I would agree with this if Manning wasnt missing wide open receivers. Our defense balled out but holy shit that offense was so bad.

Just make sure to wear waterproof clothing. And, uh, watch your drink; okay?

Can that poster be 6th Street?

He needs to be diving head first. That damn sliding gets guys fucked up. He just needs to do it long before anyone gets near enough to take a cheap shot. Because they’ll be coming.

He needs to be diving head first because the fucking spot the second he begins the slide is horseshit.

Not to mention missing a few field goals
Yes, we got sideshowed good in that one. I think Georgia boosters sent 4-5 high end sex contractors to his hotel room the night before.

Yep, Arch playing terribly and Guilbeau screwing his fellow defensive teammates like he usually is good for once or twice a game did them in.

Shoudve won that game. Stupid screen play before halftime cooked us.

offense netted 7 pts vs OSU in that game. Tough to win games like that

If you're referring to the TD, I don't really think it's fair to blame Guilbeau. That was an absurd catch.

No. We were just better than Bama.

Milroe was just getting started and we were better in all phases.

We weren't favored to win, though, which was the question.

Guilbeau was trailing by 3-4 yards. He was beat. Ball being underthrown is the only reason Tate had to make a contested catch.

Yep. He got straight beat in 1:1. Go to 9:33. You’re right, though. It was an amazing catch on an under-thrown ball.

Hopefully we see a lot more Kade Phillips in this game. Either way, Georgia has the tools to test our defense at every level.

Gonna take 27+ to win this game. Even if we’re up early, we’ve seen them come back time and time again. I don’t think we get it done this time, but I’d love to be proven wrong. Need the dawgs on offense to show up to have a chance.

I got Georgia 30-20

I get that Gilbeau is probably the least liked starter on defense but sometimes the offense just wins. Gilbeau isn’t the only DB that has been beat on a route this year. The QB still has to make the throw and the WR has to catch it. Part of playing DB is being in a position to make those two things as difficult as possible. Gilbeau recovered and Tate made a hell of a catch. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.

That really wasn't one.  It was still a great catch.

Our defensive coverage has improved over the years when he became less involved. He somehow beat Jahdae Barron for the starting nickel spot in 2022 only to eventually lose the spot to injury and Barron outplaying him. Barron locked down the role the following year and Guilbeau got another shot at it when Barron moved to corner, he was better but still underwhelming. We rotated many bodies at that position over the season too.

This year, we decide to trust him again and he has, predictably, been subpar yet again. Hence the opening of that position over the bye week and Kade Phillips(promising)/Kobe Black(terrible) eating into his snaps every week

I had a dream that Parker Livingstone caught a long bomb down the right sideline.  It was one of those throws like the first play of Vandy that led the receiver so well that it looked overthrown before it dropped neatly into his hands.  And then he was gone.

I’m going to consider it a true vision and an omen of how this game will go.

Yes, sometimes the offense does just win. However, two things with your post I disagree with.

1. Guilbeau consistently gets beat/blows coverage from week to week. It happened again against Vanderbilt on Stowers long TD. He's a usual suspect.

2. He did not recover on the Tate TD against OSU. Sayin under threw a wide open TD, so Guilbeau ended up being involved. Tate had him beat around the 35-yard line. He then recognizes around the 15-12 yard-lines that the ball is under thrown and then makes a great catch for a TD. However, Guilbeau was dead in the water without the under throw.

Big games evoke big feelings.

I think we all could sense the anticipation with Ohio State.

With Oklahoma.

And now with Georgia.

There’s a reason for that.

We all know a college football season typically is decided by only a few games each year. This is clearly one of them.

**

As a program, Georgia has what Texas wants. They have elite players, they have a championship coach, but most importantly, they have a championship pedigree.

Essentially, any time Georgia loses, it’s an upset.

That’s exactly where Texas fans want to be.

The irony is, to get there, the Longhorns have to go through those very same Bulldogs.

I don’t know exactly how this game will play out on Saturday. No one really does.

But we all know what the context of this game means and perhaps that’s why the feelings anticipation start so early.

It’s whether or not Texas has truly ascended to the top of the SEC. Or at least has ascended to the small group of schools that every SEC team must circle each Saturday because they know they have to beat a team with a championship pedigree.

It’s a hurdle Texas must overcome. They have to beat Georgia to reach the destiny every Texas fan desires.

**

The injury list for Texas is completely clean.

Texas is as healthy as they have been all year.

Georgia, meanwhile, will be without a key defensive lineman and a good receiver. Their tight end who appeared concussed against Mississippi State is listed as probable.

**

Hopefully, this is a clash of the titans. It’s definitely setting up that way.

In all fairness the wide open touchdown that Stowers had wasn’t on Guilbeau. If I remember correctly it was on Derrick Williams or Filsaime not knowing their assignment

@Bozo_Casanova's post may be in jest, but like @Darth Tron i had a dream about this game last night too.  we broke off a couple of long runs.  CJ Baxter had a 60 yard rush deep into GA territory that we ended up fucking up and coming away with 0 points.  BUT, we were up 17-0 in the second half when I woke up.

1. We can go through the defensive game tape and see that this isn’t exclusive to Gilbeau. Manny got beat for a TD against MSU. He should have been beat for a TD against Vandy but Pavia didn’t make the throw. Littleton was getting beat on routes repeatedly against SJSU. We saw what Dallas Wilson did to Black. The Stowers TD wasn’t technically on him but my continued issue with Gilbeau is he is going to do his assignment and nothing else. He doesn’t have the football IQ to improvise on the fly.

2. Again part of playing DB is forcing a QB into tough throws they can’t make. Sayin threw a prayer and Tate made the play. But Gilbeau was also there to make a play on the ball. I don’t care about if Sayin makes a better throw because he didn’t.
