Man Bama fans are fuming and they ready to fire their coach. One guy rubbed it in and said Bama has not been this upset since the passing of the Civil Rights Bill. That one gave me a chuckle.

My niece goes to IU. My brother is trying to keep her grounded during this run. As Purdue grads, we have seen our fair share of “this team is going to do it! This year is the year” Mostly in basketball, but there was a decade of recent “great” Purdue football under Joe Tiller.

The vitriol between Purdue and Indiana is lower key than OU or Aggy for Texas. It exists, but you don’t have IU or Purdue guys flexing at parties, etc. or whooping (or whatever) at weddings, funerals, or church events.

That said, we do have the following:

What do Purdue and Indiana students have in common? They all applied to Purdue.

And

What do Indiana grads say to Purdue grads? “Would you like to biggie size that?”

I’d love to see IU win it all.

My father has an endowed scholarship in his favorite biz professors name. He still doesnt believe it is real. He could be in the presidents box but is the type that just wants to watch it at home with dachsunds. IU people are cool and deserve this. He has supported Texas and our success over all the years.

This is the eerily similar to KSU season where they were one play away from the National Championship game in 98. we will see how this one ends.

That one definitely gave me a chuckle.

Or one that admits he's not so egotistical to believe if any all powerful diety exists that diety would care more about his performance in a game than helping the tens of thousands of children across the world that died of neglect, abuse, or malnurishment today.

I can only shake my head these days at insane narcissistic and tone deaf people who thank a god for helping them win a game.

I'd like to hear some player who has rehearsed a deep, philosophical answer. "I’d like to thank whatever cosmic forces or machinations conspired to allow me to play well today. Depending on your point of view, that might be called providence, probability, or simply the long shadow cast by every choice made before this moment. Spinoza would say I could not have acted otherwise, that this game unfolded with the same necessity as a stone falling toward the earth. Aristotle might counter that excellence is a habit, earned slowly, one practice and one mistake at a time. Nietzsche would probably laugh at both of them and tell me this was will, repetition, and love of the struggle itself. Me? I dunno. I'm going to Disneyland."

I was just reading an article about Landry and he said he always maintained the same expression because he was thinking two plays ahead and he wanted his guys to know there was someone competent and in charge of things on the sideline.

Indiana is like a tunnel-boring machine: relentlessly grinding forward. Hard to see them losing to Oregon or GA.

who really cares what they say? the sideline reporters are just there to fill time. maybe they should stop interviewing them after the game so they don't invoke God and trigger everyone.

This wasn't a sideline reporter. This was after the game was over on the set of MNF when they invite the players up there.

OSU fans burn couches , Bama will burn mobile homes and maybe their sisters wives will be chained inside….

Once they beat Ohio State I was a believer. Hoosiers are going to win it all. In football.

Crazy.

@Helobious How happy are you that a Chicano won the Heisman and a CFP game?

He is not a Chicano, he is a Cubano. Wrong color bean.

Does not trigger everyone, just the heathens who think God is only to be invoked when some gal in comfortable shoes is painting her church with rainbows, or when Uma is getting lifted.

He's of Hispanic origins, so it's the same to me.

Well as long it is the same to you, keep being clueless as to what words you are using, come mierda.

I’m glad most of us aren’t SEC pumpers, because this bowl season has been rough for the Aggies and the like.

I live near Pasadena and one of my best friends who went to IU texts me late last night saying the casuals and scalpers are dumping tickets because of the rain forecast. I grabbed 2 in good seats for well under $100 and went today. It was glorious. I’m all in on an IU national championship. Would be the craziest story line in cfb history.IMG_7534.jpeg

I mean, Chicano are Hispanic, and Cubans are Hispanic, so.... Other than being from different countries....

Notre Dame would’ve put up more of a fight. Bama had no business being in the playoff.

We can debate the former, I think the latter is indisputable.

Haven't you heard ND has TD Jesus on their side. Omniscient protection and every influencing. Even Hal Moore prayed for victory and protection for his troops in his own way.

We were Soldiers

IIRC, there was a TEXAS/blou game coming down to the end and we lined up for an FG to win. Kick was up and heading wide right and the wind stirred and pushed the ball just inside the right upright and it was good. Seems to me someone said, "it was the hand of God helping us win because he knows he goofed with Oklahoma".

Praise the Lord!

Then what do you do with the tied teams that got to sit home that week comfortable in their CFP spot? UGA would have destroyed aggy in the SECCG but got to avoid it because of tiebreakers. The system is completely fucked and CCGs are entirely pointless.

It shouldn't have mattered because Bama should have been a bubble team that needed to perform well to get in. Releasing rankings before the final game is stupid and creates all the problems.

Still waiting for a player with some balls to thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster and state that the only reason he wins games is because he's being lifted up by the noodly, delicious arms of the Lord Pasta. Though coming out as an atheist in the NFL would probably be worse than coming out as gay for your career prospects.

CSB: We actually went to the church when we visited Australia for the summer in 2012. I'm still not convinced they believe it's real. It's a very nice church, tho. We also visited the Scientology location while there. Both places seem to have nice people, they're just brainwashed idoits.

Uh....OK? I'm not here to judge, but, uh, I'm not sure murder should be even a top 5 priority. Now chaining them at the neck and leaving them in a storage container? I'm down with that.

That could've been for Dandy Don Meredith or Craig Morton instead of "Whizzer" White (Staubach's nickname for Danny). Lulz.

Looking at the face mask I am think more than likely Eddie LeBaron.

Not sure I want to see more in the title game, Hoosiers vs the U or Hoosiers vs Ole Miss.

With the U we would get to see the ESPN talking heads completely ignore the fact that the presence of Miami in the title game means that despite all the bullshit spin jobs the regular season results and conference titles don't mean shit. Heck, if UVA doesn't lose they are in and out early and Miami is playing in the bowl game with half their roster opting out or in the portal, but those Conference Championship games matter except when it works better to ignore the results or that you didn't even play in it and the two conference participants didn't get a bid.

As far as Ole Miss we would get to see ESPN work to find multiple ways to feature Lane Kiffin in the lead up to the game. I would suspect at least two Marty Smith features with Lane in which at least one Lane breaks down in tears to say how proud he is of the Ole Miss team he put together and if the Ole Miss admin had found it in their hearts Lane would have worked WITH Pete to get this team through this title run.

I thought about that, but for it to be Eddie, those would have to be the original uniforms with the white helmets, and those helmets are silver.

Very good point, when did they switch from the white helmet to the silver ones?

Lebaron played from 1960-1963 for Dallas.

Dallas started playing with the silver helmets in the 1964 season.

Plus, Lebaron was only 5-7, and there's no super-short football players in that gif-clip. Lulz.

Both places seem to have nice people, they're just brainwashed idoits.

As opposed to who, exactly?
