I don't see what's so outrageous about calling him a good man.  I've known him for thirteen years.  We've worked together, socialized together...he's a good guy.

But you'd all rather assume he's a bastard because he's a Republican, and that if there's voter fraud, it must obviously because of the Republicans.

Fuck yourselves.  You'll get six more years of Trump and like it.

So again, he is a good guy because he socialized with you?

how do we know the guy he lost to isn’t a good guy?

So what happens if he lost to another good guy? Is that a wash?

since you went there, is trump also a good guy?

McSally cut into the lead by 447 but the update was a net +11 for Sinema? I'm assuming that's percentage points, not votes?

McSally cut into the lead by 447 votes.

Cochise was +22R overall but the batch today was +11R.  Meaning these outstanding votes that are counting late are more Democrat friendly.  Which is what *I* and a few others figured, because late VBM ballots were trending more Democrat friendly.  These late batches are more Sinema friendly (otherwise, McSally should have netted ~850 or so votes).

It appears Cochise went from +22R to +21R with the new batch.

His being a good man is completely irrelevant. Why should it affect whether votes get counted?

The lady he lost to may be a great lady.  Don't know.

If he loses to her, he loses to her.

Trump is an ass.

Half the responses on here are mocking the fact that I called him a good man.  Are we that cynical?  If you said you knew someone personally and he's a good guy, I'd take your word for it.  Why would you lie about it?  Perhaps I'm too trusting, but that's my nature.

Broward County is crucial to any democrat winning in Florida.  Of the votes they're counting on, that area is a necessity.  The leaders in that county know it.  Everyone knows it.

So how the hell do they wind up with a 60,000 ballots that suddenly "weren't counted?

Miami-Dade die 810,000 ballots in four hours.

Broward did 700,000...and they're still doing them.  And still finding them.

So are we dealing with absolute incompetence, or are we dealing with fraud?

They were not mocking the fact that you called him a good man, they were pointing out that how good he is has absolutely zero to do with counting votes. You were being emotionally defensive because you consider the guy a friend. You completely misinterpreted several posts accordingly.

I have no idea what we're dealing with, but I am asking for evidence of fraud. I completely believe in the incompetence of government, it's one of my most faithful beliefs. So do Republicans for the most part, in fact I constantly hear about how incompetent liberal government is. So the answer to your question is we have no idea what we're dealing with, so let's see the evidence. If the only evidence is that the votes are coming from a part of the state that votes for your friend's opponent, well that's not actually evidence.

Cochise County just updated the majority of their outstanding votes - 4,021 out of about 4,700.  McSally only cuts into Sinema's lead by 447.  Pre-update, Cochise was +22 for McSally.  This batch was only +11R.  Woof.  This was supposedly one of her good counties but the late votes are more D-leaning than the overall county vote.

My calculation would have had her cutting ~865 votes off McSally's lead based on the percentage she had pre-update.  She underperformed that by half.

Updated to be worded better.

So if he lost to a good lady, is that overall bad? Since both of them are good guy/lady?

1) I don't assume he is a bastard because he's a Republican, I assume he's a bastard based on your description of his thoughts on democracy

2) If your friend doesn't want legitimate votes counted that is unamerican and contrary to being a "good man"

3) You & your friend are trying to shortcut a full accounting of votes because and only because he is ahead (I know, I know "Both Sides" - I agree)  See #2

4) By law the unofficial tally of votes is not due until tomorrow...  Yeah I want it final too, but I'll wait to make sure they got it right.

5) You're wrong, I would not enjoy six more years of Trump

I also wanted to point out that, for instance, Pima was overall +14D but the late batch counted last night was +20D.  So I'm not seeing how McSally is confident these late batches are friendly for her.

If these batches are 150% better for the Democrat than the overall county votes D/R breakdown, my initial claim of Sinema picking up 15,000 or so+ today could be way low.

Ok ok maybe I miss judged him (and perhaps you)

Does he want the vote counting stopped before it is complete or certified by the elected officials of Broward County?

  • If yes, nevermind, I got it right the first time
  • If no,  STFU and wait like a good little citizen for the results without sewing the seeds of unfounded doubt

I got news for you incompetence in Broward goes all the way back to Frank & Ivy Stranahan.   Voter fraud does not go back at all...  doesn't exist in any meaningful way.

This guy seems like he sucks.

Quote

Caldwell laughed when Florida Politics asked if that comparison was valid.

“I do think that socialism is a dead end street,” Caldwell said. “While I don’t think that Andrew Gillum would like to see empty store shelves and people starve in the street, that is ultimately what it comes to. It works against human nature. Everytime we’ve seen it tried, it failed.”

Caldwell described Gillum endorser Sen. Bernie Sanders as “an avowed socialist” dedicated to a “European socialist model” with Gillum having “embraced it wholeheartedly.”

Caldwell definitely sees the battle between R and D this year as a ticket, and he defended his party’s standard bearer, Ron DeSantis, who has been mired in controversy that began with his warnings after the primary that electing Gillum would “monkey this up.”

DeSantis is “not a racist,” Caldwell said.

“That’s manufactured controversy for the sake of a political campaign,” Caldwell said, with the left looking to “make hay” of it.

There is no arguing whether DeSantis is a racist.  You can't pal around with Horowitz and pretend not to be one.

I'm quite confident he wants every vote to count.

But I find it highly questionable and somewhat amusing that all these "legitimate, uncounted, suppressed" votes come out of highly Democratic areas.

Especially, and comically, Broward County.

You find it 'highly questionable' that suppressed votes would be in a highly democratic county in a Republican run state?

In what logical way is it that "highly Democratic areas" shouldn't produce "highly democratic" voting results?

Suspect indeed!

So you just want it to be true that there's voter fraud. You don't have any actual evidence.

This is why we're mocking you. You're insinuating something and completely devoid of any, tiny morsel of evidence.

As said previously, no one here is mocking your friend. We're mocking your emotional and petulant response to what's going on.

Get out of your echo chamber and read actual news about why this is taking so long. It's not that complicated.

People like this are my favorite. They believe all the hateful, stupid shit that most Republicans do, but they try and put this veneer on it where they are reasonable and aren't a Trumpkin. Then about 10 posts later the true colors come out and they reveal themselves to be just another raving mouth-breathing lunatic eating leaves out of a MAGA hat.

All of the democrats will say or think that this is incompetence and all of the votes should be counted

all of the republicans will say that this is fraud, the election is over, they’re trying to steal it!

historical precedence points toward incompetence tho. Does anyone still remember the election of 2000?

Can't stand Trump.  He's a disgrace to the office.  You can say I believe all the "hateful, stupid shit that most Republicans do" without knowing me and perfectly well convince yourself of it.  But your rush to paint me with the same brush you would any other person who holds conservative values says far more about your blindness than it does mine.

We have no reason to dispute if you're friend is a good man, but it's inconsequential to the point at hand and it undermines your point as you look quite subjective on the matter.  From your emotional retorts, it seems you think something nefarious went on but you have offered no proof nor evidence other than your suspicions.  Quite simply, it comes down to this:

Those votes could be absolutely legitimate and your state and Broward county can absolutely be incompetent when it comes to elections.

Jamaican patty place...  Patties don't look like much, but it's a greasy deep fried meat patty.  Get yourself a Champagne Cola or a Ting and heartburn is right around the corner.

Most of the real ethnic places in Broward are along the 441 corridor.  I believe Snipes' office is a stone throw from Charlies.  Often I'm the only white guy in line.

You got negged (not by me) because you made a terrible post. You came in and declared that you intentionally don't look for information but you believe what you believe but you're willing to change your mind if you see some information that you intentionally try to avoid. It was a terrible post revealing a terrible mindset. Suck it up, buttercup.

Pinal will post an update today (25k early and 6800 provisional left)

-- IF Pinal held to current breakdown (55.8R, 41.6D) -> McSally picks up about 4400 votes, but still will trail by 5,000 votes.

Pima won't do an update until maybe Tuesday (WTF) - they're going to be counting all weekend apparently

Maricopa should do an update today.  This is not just more liberal Phoenix, but also Tempe.

Coconino has 10k ballots and that's Flagstaff.

Depending on what gets reported today, if McSally falls further behind, Pima won't save her.  It's Tucson/University of Arizona and its 55-42 Sinema.
