  1. Past hour
  2. So…vetoing the THC was just a ruse to call a special session for gerrymandering?
  3. Blek
  4. but he won. at least on paper
  5. They don’t play defense in the nva all star game either. Point is how are you missing layups when the other team isn’t trying. but you know you’re right. Surely this doesn’t happen in regular season games
  6. During the next homestand 2 lucky fans will be selected to join the Astros 40 man roster
  7. One more tournament for my 17 YO this summer. 12+ years of baseball nearing the end of the road, and it's bittersweet. As much as I'll miss it, it's sure going to be nice to have more time to fish and hunt when baseball doesn't dominate the weekend schedules. And, after several months of being down in the dumps post-surgery (TJ) and kind of loafing around, he finally found something within himself this spring to start getting after it in the gym. We found a really fantastic pitching coach with a big focus on biomechanics that's made a world of difference. His delivery (LHP) is so much smoother and consistent, which undoubtedly will help him stay healthy. We're still ramping up the pitch count, but it's been like watching a new kid this summer. I'm super proud of him. He's certainly not on a national / scout type team, but he's been facing some pretty good competition. He missed the first summer ball tourney since his HS team was in the state playoffs and he was traveling (but not playing) with the team. He's been pretty salty through his first four outings post surgery: 3.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K 3.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K 3.0 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 4 K 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 10 K (three walks came in the last two innings when you could tell he was getting tired, but nice to see him work out of a jamb) Total: 15.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 10 BB, 21 K, 0.46 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, .102 BAA FB has been sitting in the low-80s and he's touched 85 a few times. Throws mostly two-seamers, but works the four-seam when he's up in the zone. Breaking ball is starting to come around, and his change up came out of nowhere and has been his strikeout pitch. He's been asked to play an extra tourney in San Antonio in August with a higher-caliber team that's short on pitching, so that'll be his first test against really good competition. This has been a big confidence boost going into the offseason. His goal is to add 15 lbs of muscle before spring. He's 6'2" and 185 lb now. Should be a fun senior year if he can stay healthy and continue to improve. I don't think he'll get any looks for college at this point. His academics are excellent, so it's going to be interesting to see what he decides if he does get a sniff from a smaller school.
  8. God dammit, I just typed this and it disappeared. Short version, they are bringing back the 2016 Russia investigation and saying that Obama did it to try and steal the election from dotard.
  9. I did a double take that this dude was retiring after 12 NFL seasons....seems more like 6. Fuck I'm getting old.
  10. Wow, that’s a helluva way live your life… and end it.
  11. Time to buttfuck Florida.
  12. And yet I got a Twitter ban for saying RFK jr should be shot into the sun. I don’t get it.
  13. Leaving Portland today after a couple of days away. This is our second time so we were able to hit places we couldn't on our last visit. Here are some highlights: -Casco Bay Tour to House Island (private island with old fort on it- near Ft Gorges Island) -Hike around Wolfe Neck State Park in Freeport followed by trip to LL Bean Outlet (with noting it's a whole outlet shopping center there, so there's much more than just LL Bean). -Ferry to Peaks Island and bike ride around the island: found a hidden beach off the main road that was really cool and took some side trails to the Battery Steel fortifications, which were extremely eery partially due to some kids walking through the dark structure making haunting sounds. Beach on Peaks Island: Food: -Eventide. Give yourself at least an hour of time to wait (you can leave while you wait). Alternatively, The Honey Paw next door is owned by the same people and they even share a kitchen but it doesn't have nearly the same wait as Eventide. It's an Asian fusion restaurant. -DiMillos on the Water. Nice views, great food. Highly recommend the clam chowder and pecan encrusted haddock. Waiter who worked there for 35 years said it's by far his favorite. There's also a piece of the Berlin Wall out front. -Bite of Maine. Nice place for lunch and, in my experience, the best place too get whoopie pies. -Tandem Coffee and Bakery. I cannot emphasize this enough. This cinnamon roll was incredible, as was the blueberry lemon poppyseed scone. We left talking about how we could make it work to buy a small cabin to take out daily regularly while renting it out during travel season. There's lots to do and enjoy in this area.
  14. i suspect he wouldn't give her the time of day other than maybe a passing head shot. they didn't occupy the same planet of ideas and theories.
  15. *Helobious checks his notifications* To keep coming back for more is crazy cuck energy.
  16. Yeah, really hard to imagine a worse sport to translate to a low effort All-Star game than WNBA basketball.
  17. we’re currently in litigation, i can’t talk about it.
  18. Any regulars on the board "knew", but the confirmation is helpful and explanatory. It also can now get picked up within media circles and perhaps get more negative discussion about Georgia brewing.
  19. And here I was thinking Bobby Bonilla was the guy most overpaid for his 2025 performance.
  20. The fact that the ref fucked up at other times doesn’t mean it would be right for her to fuck up yet again. Italy gets away with sooooo much absolute bullshit on the pitch. No way I’m crying for them when they lose because the ref finally penalizes them for cheating.
  21. Pop the blister, put some spider tack on it and up the spin rate of your fastball. Let's go LMJ you douche, quit being a baby!! Besides submitting your blister to the Astros' medical staff will probably result in amputation.
  22. Spoilered below is the RB preview. Highlights: -They really expect healthy, 2023-version of Ott. They paid good money for that version. We should fully expect Venables to be very gentle with Ott when practices open. -Tatum is a fumbling machine that ended up in Murray's doghouse. -After years of touting Barnes as a future star, they're now lauding him for being nice about handing over the starting role to Ott.
  23. Perfect time to bring up the election results.
